I Hate It That I Love You

"2 weeks ago, I wouldn't have ever seen this coming. The boy I once hated entirely, I slowly started to love him, slowly, but I did."
Neither of them expected to fall in love, it just happened. Through the faults in life, nothing seemed to work between them, yet everything seemed to fit perfectly.

4. Please

I was dancing with a really pretty brunette, when the song ended. I grabbed a cup of punch and stood with Marcus and his friends.

"Dude, that girl you were dancing with was hot!" Marcus' friend, Hunter yelled. "Not just H-O-T, but H-A-W-T." He snickered.

"Do you own a dictionary?" I snapped, then chuckled.

The next song came on, and I found a different blonde girl. We were dancing, and making small talk, when someone tapped, my shoulder. I turned around to see Molly. She grabbed my hand, and pulled me aside.

"What part of 'don't talk to me all night' don't you get?" I hissed.

"Can we go?" She sniffed.

"Uh, no!" I snapped, "we just got here."

"Please?" She said tears started rolling down her cheeks.

I could see she was really sad for some reason. I nodded, and told her to meet me at the car. I turned around and told my friends I had to go.

"Why? You just got here." Marcus asked.

"Family emergency." I said, while nodding.

"Oh. Well, see you tomorrow!" He yelled, as I started walking away.

I wonder why Molly was so upset. I couldn't just ask her, she'd think I actually cared.

I rushed to the car, while putting my cardigan on, in the cold snow. I stuffed my hands in my pockets, it felt like they were frost bitten. It was starting to snow again, and I had reached the car.

Tears were falling fast now. They were sticking to my face, making it feel...well sticky. My face felt frozen.

I heard the car unlock, and I jumped in. A little bit after, Alex arrived, and turned the car on, as well as the heat.

You could see your own breathe was how cold it was.

Before Alex pulled out of the parking lot, he asked "Umm, is there -er- anything I can do?" He asked, trying to be nice, but he obviously didn't mean it.

"No." I looked at him, and forced a smile.

The car ride was long. I sat in the passenger seat, sniffling. Alex just... Drove.

Right when we got home, Alex's parents were standing by the front door. We were in big trouble. We were after "curfew".

"How could you be so irresponsible Alex." I heard them talking to him down the hall. I was laying in my bed. "You had one responsibility, to be home on time, and you failed."

"We'll have to ground you."

I never knew that Alex's parents were that strict. The kid came home late, cut him some slack."

"No friends over, and were taking Jess, and Colton to a movie tomorrow, and you and Molly are staying home."

"No buts Alex. You and Molly aren't getting along lately and I think if you stay home, for the night, with her, you can resolve some issues."

"No buts Alex!" His dads booming voice loud enough to hear down the hall.

"This isn't fair." He said.

"Just until Friday." His mother states.

I had to feel bad for him. Well, it wasn't my fault, but I still felt bad that he got in a lot of trouble.

Wait. Molly! What are you talking about!? You used to love every time he was in trouble. This was a weird feeling. A really weird feeling
