The Geek

Zella never thought she would end up with Marcel. Her best friend, Veronica, talked her into going to prom with him. Marcel really wanted a date for the dance, and Zella only said yes because she was going to be paid thirty bucks for it from Veronica. She never thought she would fall in love with him, and she never thought he would completely change.

Zella's P.O.V.

My heart almost melted.

"You make me feel complete," I looked down.

"I, uh, need to go. I'll talk to you later," I said as I quickly left the library.

Marcel's P.O.V.

I watched Zella leave, and I looked down in disappointment. I started to leave the library when two girls stopped me.

"Hey, I'm Madison. This is Leah. We were just wondering if you're new here?"

"Uh, no,"

"Who are you?"

"You look different,"

"I'm wearing contacts, my hair isn't styled, and I'm dressed differently. How is that different?"

"It just is,"

"Well, excuse me. I gotta go," I pushed past them and headed to maths.

Marcel's P.O.V.

People have been asking me questions similar to Madison's questions. I was sitting at one of tables in the corner, like I always do for lunch, when some of the most popular guys in the school sat with me. I started to get my things when one of them stopped me.

"Marcel, it's okay. We want to sit with you,"

"Yeah. I'm Sean. This is Toby, James, and you already know Jack," I smiled at them.

"Do you guys need something?"

"No, we just want to sit with you. Did you know when you showed up this morning looking completely different, girls would not stop talking about you?"

"No, I didn't,"

"Girls are already thinking about asking you out," he said gesturing to the girls at the other tables. I looked at them and they all smiled at me. I smiled back, until I felt like someone was staring at me. I turned around and noticed Zella looking at me. I just turned to the guys again.

"You're being serious?"

"Yeah. Showing up to school like this, could completely change you,"

"Really?" I looked at the girls again.

"Dude, girls are dying to talk to you and stuff. The only problem is that they're nervous," I smiled at the guys. "Join us, and you could be the most popular guy in this whole school,"

"I'm in," the guys were saying some 'yeah's' and stuff. I sat there talking to them for the rest of lunch.
