5. Chapter 5

Justin Drew's POV

I sat around a pile of papers trying to figure out what logo looked best for the schools news paper. I've been drawing since Justin and I spoke on the phone. I've been putting so much work into the logo but nothing seem right or looked good.

I didn't want to get Adrienne in any trouble. I know that she'll do a great job performing so I have to give it my all and get a good grade in her class or I'll feel horrible forever.

Since the mascot for USC was a horse, I thought that it would've made sense if I made a replica of it but it just didn't feel right.

I probably have drawn that stupid horse like a million times. I felt like giving up but I couldn't do that.

I looked around Adrienne's small dorm room when I noticed a pillow chess piece. It was white horse and when I saw it I instantly knew what I was gonna do for the logo.

—~—

"Justin wake up, were picking up your girlfriend at the airport." I felt someone speak whilst they shook my shoulder. I rolled onto my stomach trying to block out whoever was bothering my amazing dream.

"Seriously man, you don't want your girlfriend to get mad that you didn't pick her up."

Girlfriend? What girlfriend? I shot out of bed, falling from it onto my back.

"You alright there JB?" I looked up to see Kenny giving me a goofy grin. I shook my hand as he helped me off the ground.

"We're gonna pick up Adrienne remember?" I nodded my head.

"Ya lets go." I started for the door when I heard Kenny cough.

"What?" I asked turning around.

"You leaving like that will probably be one of the most craziest things you've done yet." Kenny pointed out. As confused as I was, I still looked down at myself. I was currently standing in only my boxers and socks. A wave of goosebumps and embarrassment shot through me leaving my face crimson red.

"Oops." I squeaked. Kenny laughed as he walked past me. "Get dressed. I'll meet you in the lobby."

—~—

After I had got over my little crisis and got dressed and ready to go, I made it to the lobby to find Kenny waiting patiently for me.

"Looks like your ready little man." I let out a sigh giving Kenny a smile.

"Don't ever mention it." I laughed along with him.

"Alright. There's quite a lot of fans outside so I want you to stay close behind me."

We walked over to the door to see masses of fans all shouting for me. I couldn't even imagine how long they've been waiting for me.

"Can I stop and say hi?" I asked Kenny.

"Okay but only for a bit, then we really need to leave."

Once we were out, the fans went crazy. Girls were crying, and some were screaming my name.

I looked around feeling overwhelmed at how many girls were calling me. I noticed one girl with a huge smile on her and I couldn't help but smile back.

"Kenny, could we go over there?" Kenny nodded his head as he led me to the girl I pointed out to him.

"Hi, what's your name?" I asked. The girl smiled before she spoke.

"My names Alex." Even through all the m screaming fans, Alex and I felt like we were the only ones there.

"Can you sign this please Justin?" Alex handed my a sharpie and Justin's Believe Acoustic album. I took it from her and signed Justin's name since I've been practicing it and wrote her a little message.

I handed it back to her with a smile. She quickly read the message before she spoke. "I knew that you were the same and you never changed. Thanks Justin!"

I gave her a hug before Kenny pulled me back.

"I'll be back later guys!" I spoke as I walked to the car.

—~—

We arrived at the airport just in time to before Justin's plane was going to land.

"So, what does she look like?" Kenny asked as we took a seat.

"Well, she has light brown hair that reaches to her back. Hazel eyes and a cute smile." I thought it was the weirdest thing to describe myself to him.

"How old is she?"

My eyes landed on the clock to see the time. It was 7:35am which meant that his plane had already landed.

"She's 18."

When a mass of people started filing out of the doors I couldn't keep my eyes away from it.

"She must be a great girl. Can't wait to meet her."

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. It was him.

Is anyone with you?

I quickly thumbed out a reply telling Justin that it was only Kenny.

Okay, well we have to act like a couple.

I felt my throat go dry. Act like a couple? I'm not the best actress.

When I looked back up my eyes locked with his.

"She's here." I put on my best smile before quickly speed walking over to Justin.

When I finally got to Justin he jumped into my arms. I was totally surprised but I still wrapped my arms around him.

"Just play along." Justin whispered into my ear.

So I did. I lifted Justin in my arms and spun him around.

"I'm so glad your here." This wasn't me playing along. I actually was really happy he was here.

"Me too." He pulled away and looked into my eyes.

I heard Kenny cough behind us making us jump.

"Oh, Adrienne this is Kenny, Kenny this is Adrienne my girlfriend." I spoke with a smile.

Kenny gave Adrienne a hug and told her how great it was to meet her.

"So we need to get back to the hotel before we head to the venue for rehearsals." Kenny told us.

We got back to the car and we all piled in.

"So how was your flight Adrienne?" Kenny asked from the front as he drove.

"It was good except for this kid that thought it would be funny to kick my chair for the entire ride." Justin slumped into the car seat beside me.

Kenny laughed. "You sound like Justin. He hates that."

Justin's cheeks went bright red, and I mean my face, Adrienne's. I know confusing.

"That's okay babe, at least we have something in common."

We arrived back at the hotel to see Justin's friends lounging in the living room.

"Hey man, where'd you go?" Twist asked me.

From the corner of my eye I could see Justin crossing his arms over his chest.

"I went to the airport to pick up Adrienne. You guys remember her right?" All the boys turned and looked at Justin.

"Hey it's that girl from the club. What's she doing here?" Za asked looking angry.

"I'm not from the fucking club! Didn't you understand that the first time?" Justin burst out with a pissed look on his face.

"Ya right, Justin tell us that's not your girl and it's just some hoe."

I could feel my face getting hot. How could Justin's friends be so rude?

"She's my girlfriend and she's not a hoe. All you do is sit here you free loader. Get the fuck out." I really had enough of them honestly. I grabbed Justin's hand before walking into my room slamming the door.

"Ad, are you alright?" Justin asked me once the door was shut.

"How can you be friends with people like that? They don't even know me and the second we walked in the first thing they do is judge." I sat down on the bed with my head in my hands. I could feel tears start to well up in my eyes but I wasn't gonna cry. I wasn't gonna let them get to me.

"Adrienne, I'm sorry, I know that they're bad. I'll get them to leave alright. You don't have to be around them any longer."

"No, you can't do that. People will know something's up." I got up and wiped my face. I grabbed my backpack and sunglasses.

"Lets go."
