Dark Paradise

Audrey has never felt so alone before in her life. Her brothers have abandoned her, her old friends hate her and bully her, and her so-called Aunt abuses her. What could be worse? Oh, yeah. Justin Bieber. He's head of one of the most dangerous gangs in the east side of town, and his life is already at its peak. When they meet, Audrey despises him. But Justin is somewhat fond of the fragile, insecure girl, so he decides to take her under his wing. For the first time in so long, everything seems to be going good for Audrey. But what happens when tensions rise between another local gang, and Audrey is stuck in the middle of it? 4. Chapter 3

With a sigh Audrey looked at her clock to see it was 5:30. She slumped over to her closet picking out the familiar outfit but instead of the yellow shirt she switched it to the blue shirt with the same logo.

Walking down the stairs she hoped that Aunt Sara went to the bar or night club all ready. She didn't hear any moaning or annoying laughing, which meant that the coast is clear. She weakly smiled to herself relived that she wouldn't have to go to work with a throbbing black eye…not that anyone would care or notice. But it still was a good feeling.

As she drove to the restaurant she remember this wasn't the usually time that kid and his gang would be around and for some odd reason she was disappointed about that considering how they treated her like a dog yesterday.

Sighing because the only 15 minutes of peacefulness had come to an end, she killed the engine and prepared herself for work. Especially because she saw those very familiar three black cars but this time, no one was surrounding or in them. Realizing they're probably inside, Audrey found the door she went out off yesterday and quickly entered it hoping no one saw her.

She tied her apron and clock in like everyday but didn't see Marcy anywhere.
"Amanda!" Marcy boomed causes Audrey to flinch a little. She spun on her heels to face Marcy.

As always smacking on her gum and clip board in her hands.
"Same sections as yesterday and no leaving early this time." She told Audrey raising an eyebrow.
"Yes ma'am." Audrey answered. Marcy gave her a weak smile before walking deeper in the kitchen.

Audrey wiped her sweaty palms on her apron and took a deep breath before walking out into the dining room. It was a pretty good turn out for the cafe. She hadn't worked the night shift in a while so it was surprising.

She looked in her section to spot her first table with those kids from yesterday. She scoffed and rolled her eyes before approaching the table with a smile.
"Well look who it is." one breathed which just happened to be Justin.
"Hello and welcome to Lucky's Cafe. What can I get for ya?" Audrey asked sweetly ignoring Justin's comment from earlier.
"I thought we told you yesterday." Justin smirked with a wink.

Audrey never knew what it felt like to be wanted, so this was new for her. She stared at him blankly as her breathing hitched.
"A-Anything to d-drink?" She blurted not really knowing how to react. Justin chuckled. Audrey's reaction humored him; he took it as he made her nervous. He did but that wasn't the main reason Audrey was acting awkward.

"A tall glass of you." Justin winked again earning slaps on the hand of his friends. That made Audrey laugh a little about how stupid that pick up line was.

She was starting to get impatient because she needed to get the rent money by tomorrow. She looked around the cafe looking at all the tables she has to get to.
"Ah…listen, after you get off, how about we go back to my place to talk…um Audrey?" Justin asked looking at her name pin on her shirt snapping Audrey away from her thoughts. She smiled at him as he put a piece of paper in her hand.

She didn't care that she didn't know his name or who he was or why out of all the waitress in this place he chose her but, a little spark of happiness ran through her at the feeling of being wanted by someone for the first time.

With a wink, Justin let go of her hand and him and his friends scurried out of the cafe. Audrey shook off the feeling, going to the next table to wait.

But she couldn't help but wonder, should she go with the mysterious boys and his friends or not?
