Dark Paradise

Audrey has never felt so alone before in her life. Her brothers have abandoned her, her old friends hate her and bully her, and her so-called Aunt abuses her. What could be worse? Oh, yeah. Justin Bieber. He's head of one of the most dangerous gangs in the east side of town, and his life is already at its peak. When they meet, Audrey despises him. But Justin is somewhat fond of the fragile, insecure girl, so he decides to take her under his wing. For the first time in so long, everything seems to be going good for Audrey. But what happens when tensions rise between another local gang, and Audrey is stuck in the middle of it? Will it be a nightmare, or is it just Dark Paradise? © 2013 by beliebervision & SoccerBieber18. All Rights Reserved.

21. Chapter 20

When they arrived back, Seth was nowhere to be seen and Avery looked like she was going to cry. Instead, she went down to her room because nobody really wanted to talk to her for what she did. Veronica went to Austin's room and Kaiden went to Liam's--which were both upstairs, since all the boys rooms were there.

That left the living room with Claire, Brandon, and Ethan. And Audrey and Justin.

Justin went over and sat on a bar stool while Audrey sat next to Brandon again. She glanced over at Justin who gave her a thumbs up that he didn't mind as long as no flirting happened.

"So what was all that about?" Brandon asked.

Audrey shrugged. "Avery likes my brother, the guy in the rival gang, and the guy who blew up the cars. It's simple. She wants to see him again and I know she's going to keep trying."

"Who cares? She's just a dumb bitch anyways. Let her do what she wants." Claire said. Audrey leaned over to glare at her.

"She isn't a dumb bitch, actually." Audrey spat. "She's just confused on what she wants. But I have to agree with the last part."

There was a silence.

"I mean, she's right, kind of. We should let Avery keep doing what she's doing and we should send different people to spy on her each time until she gets to the West Side camp. At least we know that she'll come back every time."

"That's actually not a bad idea." Justin said as he took a sip of beer. "I'll bet you twenty bucks that she's going to sneak out tonight."

"And I decline your bet because we all know she's going to sneak out." Audrey stuck her tongue out at Justin who smiled.

"Then I say that you and I should spy on her tonight." Justin got up and walked over to the stairs. Audrey got up as well because she knew he expected her to follow. She said a quick goodbye to Brandon before following Justin.

She slipped her hand into his. "I think we should bring Seth."

He stared at her with a confused expression. "Why? You want to break his heart more?"

Audrey rolled her eyes. "No, I want him to get all mad so he can kill Jesse whenever he feels like it."

Justin paused when they were halfway up the stairs. "We can bring Seth but just not for that reason."

"Why not?"

"Because I want you to kill your brothers, not him."

Audrey and Justin were lying on Justin's bed, talking, when they heard movement coming from downstairs. It was about one in the morning and they've been awake this whole time for this very reason. Audrey quickly sat up.

"Is that her?"

"Yep," He said as he slipped his feet into his Supras. "I didn't hear anyone come down the stairs so it has to be either her or one of the other girls."

Audrey nodded and threw one of Justin's sweatshirts on. She changed into skinny jeans and her favorite converse before grabbing Justin's hand, letting him drag her down the hall to Seth's room. He didn't even bother knocking, he just swung the door open.

Seth was sitting on his bed, awake. He looked up at the two of them.

"What the fuck?"

"We're going to spy on Avery." Audrey said quietly. "I was wondering if you wanted to come."

"Do you want my heart to shatter into a million pieces?"

"No."

"Is she sneaking out again?"

"Yep."

"Then I guess I'll come." Seth sighed as he stood up. He didn't bother changing into anything warm and Audrey figured that it was because he didn't care.

The three of them went as quiet as they could down the stairs. Avery's jacket was gone which meant that she was gone as well. Justin led them out to the Tahoe--which, by the way, Audrey was still trying to figure out where he got it from. He wouldn't tell her.

Justin drove back to the same club that they found Avery at earlier and the three of them piled out.

"I'm assuming she's inside." Seth said, his arms crossed. Audrey nodded and they all made their way into the loud building.

Audrey grabbed Justin's hand for comfort, but he had already disappeared from her side. She groaned. It was way to loud in the place and there was too many people around. There was no way she was going to find him again.

She sighed and started to push her way through the crowd.

Apparently, her luck was better than she thought because Avery and Jesse were standing right in front of her. Seth was at her side again and he made a choking noise.

"If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go kill myself now." He turned around, and walked away. Audrey turned around to try and stop him but he'd already gone.

"Seth! Don't..." She yelled. "...leave me with them."

"Don't leave you with who, little sister?" Audrey closed her eyes and turned around slowly. Jesse was in front of her, his hand in Avery's. Avery was glaring at her.

"You," Audrey said quietly. "You guys."

"Hmm. You don't want to see me any more today?" Jesse asked. "That makes me feel sad. My own sister doesn't even want to see me."

A sudden burst of rage filled Audrey and she punched Jesse in the stomach. He let go of Avery's hand and dropped to the ground. Avery's eyes grew wide but she didn't do anything. Probably because she didn't know what to do.

Jesse was starting to get up from the ground when he swung his foot behind Audrey's legs and she smacked down onto the cold floor. A searing pain ran through her back and the back of her head and she cried out Justin's name.

"Oh save that shit for the bedroom." Jesse mumbled as he picked Audrey up off the ground, bridal style. She tried to wriggle out of his grip and then stopped, realizing she'd just fall on the ground again.

"Now where is Ian?" Jesse asked nobody in particular as he milled his way around the club. After a moment Audrey saw him smile. She craned her neck and saw Ian--and Justin.

Ian's hand was on Justin's shoulder, which was probably the only thing keeping him up. He looked like he'd pass out any minute.

"Did he drink?" Jesse said. "He sure looks like he did."

Ian nodded slowly, eyeing Audrey as he did. "Yes, he drank. I put the stuff in it too. He should pass out any minute now, so we should get going."

"What about the other kid?"

"Already drugged. In the car." Ian said. Jesse nodded. Avery looked horrified.

"You drugged Justin and Seth?!" She yelled. Ian raised an eyebrow and walked over to her. He held out a drink to her.

"Here, drink this." Ian said, smirking. Avery took it and examined it.

Audrey tried to scream, 'don't drink it', but nothing came out of her mouth. The last thing she remembered was Avery collapsing onto the ground and Jesse carrying her out to a car where Justin and Seth lay unconscious in the back seat.
