41. For Shivanixx

~Shivani~

My heart pounded in my chest as I stepped through the doors of the mall. My older step-sisters screeched in excitement and began jumping up and down. My step-mother smiled cooly and ushered them forward, leaving me lagging behind. Taylor and Chelsea tightened their grips on their I ♥ 1D notebooks and pens. The exact same one that my step-mother wouldn't buy for me, because it was "pointless." Other fans glared at us as we passed by the long line of girls, all wearing differing shirts featuring the boys. I tried not to notice my own old gray tee shirt and jeans. Right as we reach the door between us and them, a security guard stopped us. My step-mother, Taylor, and Chelsea flashed their passes with a wicked grin. The guard looked to me.

"Pass?" He asked in a gruff voice. I opened my mouth to answer, but my step-mother got to it first.

"She's with us, but she doesn't have one." She answered curtly. The guard turned his glaze from her to me, then back again.

"Well, okay," He replied while rubbing the back of his head. He lead them inside, and that's where I first saw the boys. I stood still, back against the wall, almost hidden in the shadows. Seeing that we were the only people in here, I assumed my step-mother had paid quite a bit of money for this. Probably from my bank account, where all of my money from work went. I stared at the toes of my beaten Converse, and tried to keep the tears from falling.

~Liam~

This was the family that management had told us about. The mother stood smug while her daughters screamed and held to our clothing, crying our names. Didn't they remember they had ten minutes with us? Amidst all of the craziness, I remembered that there'd been a third girl that had came in with them. Why would they have paid for her to come if she wasn't interested? My eyes scanned the room until I was interrupted.

"Liam! Liam!" The short blonde yelled. I shook the thought from my head and turned to face her.

"Sign this!" She demanded, thrusting a notebook towards me, "Sign it 'I love you Chelsea!'" I took it with the politest smile I could manage and signed just my name. The girl that had came with them would not leave my mind. So, again, I looked around. This time, I saw her. She was against the wall, looking down sadly. Before I knew what I was doing, I walked away from the group and the boys, towards her.

"You okay there?" I asked. She looked up at me with dark brown eyes hiding under a curtain of black hair. She was beautiful. I couldn't help but gasp a bit.

"I - I don't have a pass." She said quickly and seemed embarrassed.

"Why?" I questioned. She looked as if she were about to cry. I turned back quickly to ensure that I wasn't being watched (I wasn't), then took her hand lightly and led her behind a curtain where a few chairs sat. A tear rolled down her cheek.

"That's your family out there?" I asked. She nodded.

"You don't have a pass?" She nodded again.

"But your sisters do." It wasn't a question, just a statement spoken in awe. She nodded.

"It doesn't matter. I'd love to talk to you." I told her honestly.

"Can I at least have your name?" I asked. She dried her eyes quickly with the back of her hand and looked up.

"Shivani." She said.
