Playing The Bad Boy's Game

"So, who sits here?"I whispered, noticing the other empty seat beside me.
Blondie glanced to the clock. "Him," he said just as the time clicked 10. The door opened and I looked up.
My pencil dropped to the ground, eyes wide.
Oh. My. God.
It's him.
The first drug dealer that began my parents addiction.
The player that stole my best friends virginity.
The wicked monster that sent my cousin to rehab.
The hottest guy I've ever seen.
The reason why my life is hell.
And he's coming to be my English partner.

13. Chapter 13: Babe, I think I---nevermind

Chapter 13:  Babe, I think I---nevermind

I’m one of those girls that sit by the curb and wait for my prince charming.  A hate a good chase and I hate being bait for someone else’s treat.  I never liked to be used but I’m perfectly patient when it comes to Mr. Right. What Brian said, “Don’t worry Mr. Gillian, I wouldn’t miss it for the world,” that was just another invitation to hop into the love cab.  Waiting patiently by the curb, I could easily jump into that cab and go for a ride (no sexual joke there :) haha.....legit -_-).

And of course, you’re thinking, this is Brian Daniels you’re talking about.  He’s got soul, class, style and he’s bad ass, ((those are lyrics from “Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Aguliera.  She’s one of the best singers in the world so search her up one day)).  Who wouldn’t want a girl like that?

It’s not like I think he isn’t perfect, don’t get me wrong.  However, he’s.....Brian.  The boy that ruined my life, and in return is handing me a hand to pick me back up.  Should I take it?  That spark we had before, when I gazed into his eyes, was very small and probably doesn’t mean anything.  Or maybe it does?  It was so stressful because he could easily be using me like every other girl.  I would become another screw-up in my family.  I could just imagine Aunt Darby scolding at me as I’m behind bars, her calling me ‘the-daughter-who-betrayed-herself-for-a-hot-man’ or some crap like that.

What did he even see in me?  Like, what’s so important about me anyways?  Why would he even want me?  For my body? Looks?  For pleasure?

I was so lost.  I needed a map.  I needed help.  I needed to leave.

I pretended to ignore Brian’s sweet comment and kicked my feet up on his desk.  Brian smirked as he noticed I was ignoring him and headed straight to his spot that was clearly occupied by me.

“That’s my seat,” he softly said.

Popping back on my headphones, I closed my eyes and made it look like I was listening to music.  Which I wasn’t.  I wanted to see how Brian was going to handle the situation.  “Rivyn love, I need you to please sweep your feet off my desk.  I need to sit.”

Shutting him out, I kicked up one leg on his chair, leaving the other on his desk.  Come on Mr. Gillian!  Can’t you notice the problem going on?

“Dear, I really need to sit,” he politely said.  I wondered how long his gentlemen act was going to last for.  Just to add another pinch, I opened my eyes, yawned and tied up my hair.  I sighed and closed my eyes again, resting my head back.

Frustrated, Brian sat on my legs causing me to yelp and yank off my head phones.

“Is there a problem, Miss DeLor?” asked Mr. Gillian, now paying attention to us.

“Yes, there is,” bracing for hopefully my way out, I madly threw my hands up and shouted, “He’s being a total bitchy ass-hole that doesn’t give a damn about respect and I he should go to shitty hell!”

The class stopped moving, freezing in their spots.  Mr. Gillian opened his mouth, shocked at how inappropriate my language was.  While everything was silent, Brian suddenly began to chuckle.

“You’re a funny one, Rivyn,” he smiled.  “It’s going to fun working with you.”

I spun my head to his direction as my ponytail flipped to the side and rudely smirked.  “I don’t talk to strangers you ba—”

“Rivyn!” Mr. Gillian snapped, having enough of my attitude.“Out!Now!”

Playing my role, I scowled and packed my stuff.  Ready to hear Brian chuckle again, all I got was silence.  Shifting my hair from my eyes as I reached the textbooks, I couldn’t help but steal a glance at him.

Brian was in trance again.  Like he was star-struck or something.Freak.

I tore my face from him and exited right away.  For effect, I slammed the door hard as I could.  The whole school could have heard that noise from the massive amount of pressure I put in.

Double checking through the window, Mr. Gillian began helping a student in the classroom, completely distracted.  Yes!

I casually walked to the girls washroom, lugging my textbooks and bag with me.  Dropping the stuff on the counter, I took out my phone and called Klaire.

            BRIAN’S P.O.V.

“You’re a funny one, Rivyn,” I smiled.  “It’s going to fun working with you.”

She spun my head to my direction and glared.  “I don’t talk to strangers you ba—”

“Rivyn!” Mr. Gillian snapped, having enough of her attitude problem.  “Out!Now!”

Blinking twice, I was about to ask her to repeat but she just scowled and stormed out like a mad women.

Chris patted me on the back and asked if I was okay.  I nodded, hands too frozen to move.  Left alone by my desk, my knees began to buckle.  I couldn’t feel anything, so I immediately pulled up a seat and sat down.

Replaying the movement, I imagined Rivyn’s mouth moving as she spoke.  I griped the edge of the desk and clenched my jaw as I watched her lips move up and down in my mind.  Her eyes blinked once as she spoke, revealing her pretty dark brown eyes.

Looking lower, I couldn’t help but notice the satin lace bra slightly peeking out of her top.  My heart began to throb and abruptly, the temperature in the room shot up.  Daring to continue the memory without chasing after her, I barely even breathed as I heard her repeat those words.  “I don’t talk to strangers.....” she smirked.

My mind began to spin.  Rethinking the dream I had the other day, the pretty girl began to morph into Rivyn.  I bit my lip as I remembered her long tanned legs, nice curve’s and long silky dark brown hair.  It was her.

Rivyn was the girl in my dream.

This made me want her even more.  I needed her.  I wanted that spark of excitement that I had in the dream.  Just to kiss her a million times.  To have a fist-full of her hair in my hands.  To have my arms tangled around her.

I craved to hear her sexy voice.  I itched to hold her in my hands.  I don’t think I could eat.  I don’t think I could sleep.  I don’t think I could even think!

Gaaagh!  God dammit!  Brian!  Collect your shit together!  This is Rivyn.... the girl that you’re using and playing with, and in return she’s giving you even more hatred.

I groaned to myself as I remembered the deal.  The more I wanted her, the more I would fall for her.  I couldn’t have her or I’d loose.  And I, Brian Daniels, never loose.

Well...until Rivyn came along.  Her gorgeous figure was so athletic that we tied at that race.  I didn’t win but I didn’t lose.  Neither did she.

I was ready to throw myself out the door and chase after her but I knew I couldn’t.  That would mean I couldn’t use her and I would admit defeat to Chris and myself.

No, I, Brian Daniels, will never loose.  I’m never planning to and I never will.  End of discussion.

Next thing I knew, my hand released from the desk and I did something that I had no control over.

            RIVYN’S P.O.V

“Hey!  What class are you in?”

            “Study hall, why?”

I sighed and leaned against the sink.  “Okay, I need help.  Desperately!  You know how Brian is being a complete douche, right?”

            “Uh.....yeah.  I’ve always known that.”

“I think he likes me!”   There was silence on the other line.  “Klaire?”

            “You think he likes you?”

I chewed on the side of my cheek and replied, “No.”

            “I don’t understand.”

“I mean... I’m not sure if he likes me!  I don’t think he does at all and I think he’s just playing around like with me.  Like you said before, just to get into my panties or something.  I don’t know and it’s so frustrating!  It’s really pissing me off so I had to do something!”

“What did you do now, Rivyn,” scolded Klaire.

“I knocked him out on the stairs,” I blurted.

“You what?!  Why?  What happened?”I quickly told her about the fight and how I felt a tiny spark when I looked into Brian’s eyes.  Once I finished, I splashed my face with cold water, relieving a small bit of stress.  “Rivyn.”

“Yes?” I responded, putting the phone against my ear.

“I think you’re playing yourself.  Being an honest friend, I’m sorry to say but I think he’s—”

My phone beeped twice, cutting me off from what Klaire said.

“Hey Klaire, can you hold on?”

“Rivyn!  Did you even hear what I said?”

“Hold on!”  I took the phone off of my ear and checked the blinking screen.
