We Shouldn't Do This

Normally, we want to stay away from trouble. But I guess sometimes, we can't escape. And I guess I was one of those people who got in trouble with love. I wonder how he got to me like he did. I told him over and over again,"We Shouldn't Do This"

1. When We Met

I walked down the street while talking to my best friend Lizzy on the phone. "He was a jerk anyways. Let him go," Lizzy thought I was downright depressed over a breakup with my now ex boyfriend Daniel. He was a stubborn ass who never wanted me to argue with him. He always beat me if I disobeyed. Finally, he dumped me so he could have another piece of ass. "You're right Liz. But I swear I'm fine. I only loved Daniel when he wasn't an asshole," I laughed. All the sudden, I fell against the side walk as I bumped into someone. I looked up at him. Wow. He was beautiful. His green eyes poured into mine. But I saw fear in them. He had a brunette mop of curls atop his head but his attire frightened me. He dressed like Daniel. His leather jacket, the Dark Side Of The Moon t shirt, and the black leather boots. Even the tattoos I saw on his left wrist. "There he is!" I saw a gang appear from around the corner. "Oh God. Come with me," he grabbed my arm and ran me to an alley beside a building. We hid against the wall. "I don't even know you psycho," I punched his arm. "Ow. What the hell was that for? I just fucking saved your life," he whisper yelled at me. He heard footsteps near the alley. "Can I leave no-" he cut me off by putting his hand over my mouth. The same gang as before appeared in my view as they searched around the road. Not even glancing at the alley. "He went that way!" one man yelled and all the others went in his direction. Straight past where we were. I glanced at the curly haired boy who had just forced me into a darken alley and claiming that he had saved my life. He removed his hand from over my mouth and looked at me. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Sure. But, what was that about?" I questioned. "Nothing. I was just trying to stop some guys from killing my friend, so I shot one of their guys in the foot. Now, they're after me," he explained. "Okay but why did you say you saved my life?" I looked to him with a confused mind. "They already know what you look like. And now that you know what's going on, they're afraid you'll tell the cops. So now they're trying to catch both of us," he breathed. "Can I go home?" I asked. He shook his head. "Well, I have to call my mom. I'll tell her I'm staying at my best friend's house for a few nights. Am I staying with you?" I looked into his gorgeous eyes. "Yes. You'll stay with me. You'll be safe with me," he handed me his phone. Mine slipped out of my grasp on the sidewalk. I dialed my mother's number and she picked up after two rings. "Hello," a tear ran down my cheek as I heard her voice come over the line. I didn't know if it was the last time I would hear it. "Hi mom, I'm staying with Lizzy for a few nights. I'm prepared. Just wanted to say I love you," I choked. "Okay baby that's fine. I love you too. Bye. Have fun," she approved. "Bye mom. I will," I hung up and handed the boy his phone back. "What is your name?" he asked. "Harley. Yours?" I replied. "I'm Harry. Nice name by the way," he grabbed my hand and we went into the street. I felt sparks as our palms touched. Did he feel it too? It was raining and it was a dark night. I shivered. I was freezing. Harry noticed. "Come here," he helped me under his leather jacket. Covering me from the rain. "Why do you want to keep me safe?" I questioned him. He was doing all these things and we had just met. "I don't know. I've never done this before. There's something about you Harley," he removed the jacket and pressed my chest against his. He lifted my chin and gave me a soft kiss in the rain. "Don't leave me," he whispered. "Don't make me want to," I smirked. He kissed me once again and then helped back under the jacket.                                                                                                                                                                  He led me to a house that looked a little run down.  He opened the door and we stepped inside. He took off his jacket and shoes. "Where are we?" I asked. "This is where I live," he replied. "Really? Why?" I questioned. "When my family kicked me out, I was in a lot of trouble. So I found this place to call home. My mother sends me a check every week of one hundred and fifty pounds. That's how I make it. It's not the best looking place, but, it's all I got," he explained. I actually feel sorry for him. The place had no lights but it had hardwood floors that were definitely cleaned every day. There was one couch and in front of it sat a television that was not average size. A little small. I could see a bed in another room that was a little bigger than you would expect. There was one more other door that had bathroom labeled on it. I also saw an oven and microwave. "I like it," I smiled. "You know, you're not like any of the other girls. Even with all this mess I brought you into, you can still smile at me and let me kiss you. I know this is ridiculous and you probably won't believe me, but, I love you," he placed a string of my hair behind my ear. I kissed him the best I could. "Wow," he gasped. "I'm tired. Let's go to bed," I yawned. He picked me up and tucked me into the bed. He laid beside me and his arm slithered around me. "Goodnight, beautiful," he kissed my head. Beautiful? He called me beautiful! I really do like him. Maybe I love him. I just need to spend more time with him. For the time being, I'll stay here, snuggling in his arms asleep. Wondering if we should do this.
