The Criminal's Journal

"Hey Kid. You forgot this!"
She yelled waving the notebook vigorously in the air.
She was too late, he had already left the bus.
Shianna shrugged, not really caring about the forgotten journal
But little did she know, that journal would change her life

22. He Was Right

I straightened out the black denim shorts I was dressed in.

I stepped out of the black range rover, linked with Justin, who insisted that I must go to this Halloween party. The house smelled of alcohol and musty teenagers, and even though this was a Halloween party no one was dressed in a costume. I squeezed Justin's hand, wanting nothing more than to leave. He shrugged, giving me a peck on the cheek. I smiled at him. He smiled back before grabbing my hand, guiding me to, what I guess is the kitchen.

In the kitchen there stood some of Justin's friends, or at least I think they're his friends. Justin pointed me out to the host of the party. He looked around my age. I couldn't tell if he was Puerto Rican or not, but he looked as if he were.

'So you're the famous Shianna, Justin is always taking about? ' he said making Justin and me blush.

'That's me' I said giggling a bit He grabbed my hand bringing it to his lips, slightly kissing it.

' I'm Alfredo' I nodded as Justin pulled me away from him.

'Fuck off' Justin said playfully to Alfredo. Making us all chuckle.

'This is my new girlfriend' Alfredo said pointing to a very pretty girl. She was dressed in a sky blur mini skirt that made her eyes pop. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of her. 'Hey, I'm Savannah' she said twirling her light brown hair. We all muttered 'hi' and things of that nature.

They talked for a long time and, after a while I had got bored. I disconnected my fingers from Justin's without him even noticing. I made my back to the living room where it was filled with heated make out sessions, making me cringe. In the corner, the same blonde girl from Abuelo's stood. She looked very lonesome, and me being the very nice person I am, I decided to go give her some company.

'Hi' I said smiling. She gave me a mean look before walking away, like she didn't want to talk to me. Fine bitch, be that way. I sighed as boredom was getting the best of me. I texted Cleo, as I felt like I haven't talked to her in forever.

'I was looking for you' Justin said sneaking behind me, seductively. He had been drinking, I could tell by the smell of his breath. I turned around so I was facing him. He smirked handing me a glass of martini while saving the can of beer for him. I shook my head slightly pushing the glass away. He handed me the glass again, not taking no for an answer. I sighed before snatching the glass and taking a small sip, knowing that he wasn't going to let it go. I w a lked over to the couch that Justin was sitting on. I sat in silence as he rambled on about numerous things, insisting that I must drink more of the martini. After the second drink I began to feel a bit tipsy.

Where's the restroom?' I asked Justin, barely audible over the booming music. He continued dancing around crazily, ignoring my question. I giggled at his moves then rolled my eyes, this house is humongous how am I supposed to find the restrooms in here? I sighed before entering a long hallway. I opened the first door on the right, sadly it wasn't the restroom it was a bed room that looked as if it belonged to a girl. As I closed the door I couldn't help but notice a person standing near the window. I looked away for a second before looking at the window again, the figure was gone. I shrugged, I did have three martini's maybe I'm just imaging these things. I fully shut the door, continuing my search for the restroom.

After about an hour I had finally found the bathroom. I went in locking the door behind me as I did my business. Once I was finished, I washed my hand with the nice coconut soap. I dried my hands on a nearby towel before unlocking the door and walking out. I returned to the living room expecting to see Justin's wild dancing, but to my surprise a beach blonde hoe was sucking faces with him.
