5. Book Recommendations/Reviews:

Book Review by Mina Rowen

Title: City of Demons

Authors: Herleen28 and Fireflame

Rated: 3 out of 5 stars.

This book was written four days ago, so it's a bit short (and my review is as well). But what has been uploaded of the story so far has potential. It's basically a story about Giselle, a girl who discovers that she is a Shadowhunter. The thing that impressed me most about this book is the nightmare that she writes. The first chapter needs editing, but the concept in the blurb is intriguing. Being the only one able to see strange markings on people's bodies, that's new.

The book could also do with a bit more detail, but it's a good read for when one is bored, and could evolve into something amazing over time.

- Nice idea

- Well written nightmare

- The pacing of the story is nice. It could be a bit slower, but still, it's good.

- It needs some editing on the grammar front.

- The casual way that the character's thoughts are written, from Giselle's perspective, sometimes are an advantage, and sometimes a disadvantage.

- Short length of the chapters. Like I said, the story has only been uploaded four days ago, so there's not that much to read yet.

It's a bit too early to determine the mood of the story, but I'm guessing it's going to be one of those wonderful dark ones with men in hoods and terrible secrets. The book, although not jaw-droppingly awesome yet, is worth checking out.

Thank you for the time and effort you have put into your work!

Book review by Rustyrose:

Book review Title: Monster

Author: RockkaRolla

Genre: Paranormal and Supernatural

This is a great movella, you can tell that RockkaRolla has put a lot of thought into it. It is neat and easy to read and understand. I don't want to give too much away but, the basic outline is a boy who is a monster, he doesn't know anything else except he is different. He eats, sits and acts different to normal humans, because well, he isn't one. A very original plot, that is deserving of more attention.

Rate out of 5: 4/5 (definately check it out)
