1. I am Death

I am Death

I am seen as two things

Light and Dark

It depends on how you choose to see me

But I’m mostly dark

Not because I choose too

But those who walk the Earth

They’re the dark ones

You curse your jobs; think of mine

Taking others’ lives

At least you’re paid

My reward? Eternal loneliness

Some throw their lives away

Forcing me to pick them up early

Awakening from my empty slumber

A tired man, trying to escape

Why my soul was encaptured here

I wonder whilst alone

But you, you’re free

So don’t give up

You Earth-Walkers need me

Yet you fear my name. Why?
