1. War Cry

Prologue

Aqua Walker was strolling through the dark streets of the Kingdom of Airaclya, minding her own buisness. Her emerald green eyes, glowing with happiness, as she half walked, half skipped back to her house, in the part of town where most of the training for the war took place. The war between the Dragon People and The foreigners.

She had just come back from training in the more secluded parts of the kingdom. She knew it was not for a lady to fight so she became a man, just to make them happy. In training she was no longer Aqua Walker, she was Adrian Wager, one of the best dragon warriors to ever exist.

She had just received her first mission, at the training facility. Her mission was to protect the other dragon kingdom, Variyn. There was also a catch though, she had to stay with the prince, so he could be protected by the best. She didn't understand why because he was a good enough of a fighter to protect himself but that wouldn't dim her happiness.

Excitedly, she carried on walking home, to her awaiting father and two brothers.

She didn't understand why it was her who the drunken man, pushed into one of the general's dragon traps. Why was it her who got stuck st the bottom? Why find she find the door, leading to the most well kept secret?

But there was one thing she did know; there was a reason why she was pushed into the pit.The drunken man was part of it but it wasn't his doing. It was not the doing of a living being.

Only the Elders of the Scaline race, (another more known name with the foreigners), knew what it was that caused, Aqua Walker to fulfill her destiny, a little earlier than thought. Of course, what they didn't know was, two foreigners, on the run, also knew of this. These two had known for a while now. They're names were, Robert Saunter and Kinsley Saunter.

Nobody had see these two people since the kingdoms were once at peace. That was twelve years ago. Not that they were wanted by the foreigners.

Robin Saunter had just finished a game of football with his friends. Honestly, he didn't know what the big fuss was about. It was kicking the ball around, for god's sake! He never was the sporty type. He was good at sculpting swords but when it came to using it, he was just about as good as a baker without food to cook with.

Once, he had reached his sanctuary, a big oak tree, with a hiding place in between it's huge branches. He tied his scruffy, brown hair back and climbed up and into the leaves, completely camouflaged, and invisible to everyone that starry night.

The stars were always fascinating to him and one of his impossible dreams were to see them up close. It would have been a magnificent sight.

Dragging his eyes away from the clear sky, he made himself more comfortable and decided to call it a night. Placing his hands behind his head, and closing his eyes so his chocolate brown orbs were sealed away.

After school, he never went home, which was his workshop. Or should be call it Ren's Workshop. She was his boss and guardian but gave him his freedom, so he was never expected at home, most of the time. He opened his eyes and tossed and turned, trying to find the most comfortable position.

Suddenly, something caught his eye. He whipped his head around and stared at the object, that wasn't there before. He had come here everyday for two years and had never seen that.

It was a door. A unique design was crafted onto it and visibly man-made. The design was swirls, surrounding a diamond, at the centre of the door. Although the paint was chipped, you could just about see red. It was a crimson diamond.

Curious, he twisting the door knob and crawled through, wanting to find the thing that was drawing him in. He had a feeling that if he didn't go through, something incredibly bad would happen.

Instantly, one of his memories came back to him.

"Remember, darling. You'll find a maiden. Help her. She needs you, and you need her! It's fate! Do it for me, sweetheart and bring peace again," said the beautiful, brunette.

His mother.

Her face was hidden under a cloak as stepped away from him and into the shadows, leaving him alone in the streets of Ulahan, where he was soon found by Ren...

He sat there, amazed. Soon a huge grin graced his features. His mother was alive and he was determined to find her. It was his new goal and if he does find this maiden then he'll have to do that along with his search.

But right now, he was going to find out what was through that door.

Little did he know, that his destiny had just begun, along with Aqua's.
