Splinters of A Soul

To the pieces that create us, the shards that separate us and all the messy, delicate fragments that we are. Yet another trinket I picked up along the early morning hours of enduring self awareness. A poem reflecting on the wholeness of a person and the fragility of a society.

1. Splinters of A Soul

I believe I am whole
As a person, I do not need
Someone to complete me
But that does not mean I am together.
Spread sporadically across the stars
Idolising the bright entirety of the sun.
Untamed weeds of thoughts
Flourishing in many different gardens.
Incapable of sewing my heart to my head
I am left in fragments.
As a person, I do not need
Someone to complete me
But as a person, I need
Someone to try and fix me.
