31. Time-Turners and Doctor Who

Later that day, it was time for Lea's plan to go into action. She walked out of the castle just in time to see a girl with brown bushy hair punch a silver haired boy. He held his nose and ran to the castle.

"Down," Lea heard Hermione whisper to someone. Only, that wasn't possible, what's going on? Harry, Ron and Hermione were going down to Hagrid's cabin.

"That filthy mudblood," Draco cursed as he ran past Lea. He blushed slightly and headed towards the Hospital Wing.

"Nice punch," Harry whispered.

"Thanks," Hermione whispered back. Now Lea was starting to worry.

'Use Legilimency,' The Wolf commanded. Lea sat down on the steps, a confused face that didn't belong.

Lea opened her mind and quickly found Harry, Ron and Hermione down in Hagrid's hut. She found another, more sinister mind there, too. Wormtail, and he was about to be found.

Then, suddenly, Lea found two other minds near her, out of time. Harry and Hermione  were crouching behind a column. Lea jumped in surprise, she could feel both of each of their minds at once. Lea dove into Harry and Hermione's minds, the ones behind her.

Lea could see Sirius, then Wormtail, tattered and filthy. Hermione took out a time-turner. Harry was looking at Hermione and Sirius, both unconscious. He was struggling to keep a patronus, then another came out of nowhere, it looked like his dad. Hermione smacked his hand as he tried to touch the gold necklace with an hour glass in the center.

"Hermione, what is that," he asked, eyes bulging.

"It's a Time-Turner, Harry. It's how I've been getting to all my classes," Hermione started.

"Have we gone back in time," Harry screeched as he was shives into a closet by Hermione.

"Yes, but Harry, we can't let anyone see us," Hermione whispered.

"Why not," Harry asked.

Stupid question, really, Lea thought. You might hurt your future self, duh.

'You know what is going to happen,' The Wolf said. 'We must make sure Remus doesn't hurt anyone.'

'But he did take his potion, I remember that,' Lea thought.

'He must not have gotten enough to his blood stream,' The Wolf reasoned. 'We have to be ready.'

'How do I make sure he doesn't do anything to Harry and the others,' Lea asked, think of the three friends in Hagrid's cabin.

'Move, Fudge and Dumbledore are coming,' The Wolf said.

As casually as possible, and Lea was great at acting when it was needed, she made her way around the castle wall and made a run for the forest.

'You have to be in the Shack with Remus,' The Wolf told Lea.

'But I wasn't there,' Lea countered.

'Yes you were, remember,' The Wolf asked. Suddenly, Lea remembered the confusion Hermione and Harry felt when Lea was seen in the Shack, and the anger on Severus' face. But she also remembered the memory of when she wasn't in there, they had been fine.

'Time is not a line. It can change, think of all those Doctor Who episodes you watch,' The Wolf explained.

'But,' Lea started.

'Its safer with you there.' That was the end of the discussion. The wind shifted as it blew the dents of the forest to Lea.

In the castle, a certain blonde Slytherin was staring out the window. He desperately wanted to get revenge on Granger. Something caught his eye as he turned to go. Far I front of him, a girl with red hair was running/jogging towards the Whomping Willow. She almost reached it when a big black dog came into view. Lea ran to the trees, careful not to let anyone see her. Then, after Weasley was dragged under the Willow by the dog and the Potter gang followed Granger's stupid cat down, she crouched and followed.

Draco watched it all in confusion. Then he felt a familiar warmth and heard purring. Looking down, he saw a black cat weaving around his ankles. Raven pawed at Draco and nudged him towards the castle doors, the open castle doors.

Raven made her way outside and turned back to look at Draco. Her eyes seemed to say 'follow me', so Draco did. He was lead into the forest where he would meet a rather curious group of creatures.

Lea crouched into the secret passage, she knew she had to get into the Shack and find cover, before Severus saw her and sent her back to the castle. At least she would have a good excuse if she was caught.

'You may yet need to change,' The Wolf warned Lea. 'Keep vigilant.' (Funny how that would be repeated in a few months.)

'You don't need to tell me twice,' Lea said. In the damp passage, Lea could just make out the smell of Severus approaching, mixed with the sent of powerful magic (which Lea had just learned about last Werewolf Studies), Harry, Ron and Hermione. Just under the sent of magic, Lea could make out the sent of fabric, old and strong.

Lea swore silently as she ran silently, bent double, to the Shrieking Shack. She reached it and found a broken bit of table to duck behind as she heard Severus step out two minutes later. The floorboards creaked as an invisible Severus made his way up the stairs. Lea let out a little sigh as he started talking.

Now was as good a time as any. Lea silently walked up the steps, the air was still and she could barely smell the others over old blood and decomposing rats and mice. Lea was right outside the door and stepped out after taking a silent breath.

"What are you doing here," Lea asked in a very convincing surprised voice.
