24. Hogsmead

Strictly speaking, other than the Weasley twins, Ron, Harry and Hermione, no one knew that Harry had gone. He was under his invisibility cloak the whole time. Well, most of the time.

After catching up with his friends, they all went to the Three Broomsticks, a popular pub in the middle of the little village. Lea followed them, curious when she saw Hagrid, McGonagall, Fudge and Flutwick enter.

Lea heard the mistakable THUMP of a tree being repositioned. Most likely to hide the three meddling teens from view.

Lea walked into the room, warm and inviting after the cold from outside. She passed by the group. She smiled at Hagrid, gave a nod to the other professors with a small smile and nodded quickly to the Minister with no emotion on her face. She walked up to the bar and ordered a butterbeer for herself. After paying, Lea made her way to sit with the three hidden teens.

She sent a quick message to Severus, letting him know that she was fine and where she was. Lea avoided telling him that Harry was here, not wanting to get her new friends in trouble.

"Hey," Lea said as she sat down in the empty chair by Ron, knowing that Harry was under the table by Hermione.

"What are you doing here," Hermione asked in a quiet and incredulous voice.

"Well, if you mean in the Three Broomsticks, sitting and drinking a butterbeer. If you mean in Hogsmead, I'm attending third year classes so I'm allowed to come to Hogsmead," Lea explained quickly. "Going going on down there, H?"

The other two looked at her in confusion and surprise. "Would you rather I called him by his name," Lea asked the two.

"No, it's just that-," Hermione began.

"Shut it, I'm trying to listen," Harry whispered. Lea had no problem hearing the party the next table over and talking at the same time.

"Sirius Black is an abomination," Fudge was saying. The group went on and on, talking about Sirius and his 'crimes'. Then, they said something that peaked Lea's interest.

"Black is Harry Potter's godfather," someone said. Lea's head whipped up, Harry sucked in a breath and knocked his head on the table.

Soon after, the professor and Fudge left with a goodbye to the owner.

Harry came out from under the table with a shocked and betrayed look on his face.

"Are you okay, Harry," Hermione asked softly.

"Harry," Ron said, shaking him slightly.

Harry stayed silent, his expression changing from pain, to betrayal, to anger to sadness and back all again.

Lea led Harry back to Honeyduke's cellar and kept him from getting caught by some of the professors, including Severus and Remus, both knew she was hiding something and tried to drag it out of her. To no avail.

Lea guided Harry back up to the Gryffindor common room and left him there. That's were Hermione and Ron found him about ten minutes later.

Lea, meanwhile, went to visit Sirius.

"You never told me you were Harry's godfather," Lea shouted when she saw him sitting there sorrow des by owls.

"I could have sworn I had," Sirius said to himself. Louder he said, "It was none of your business."

"Do you know what just happened in Hogsmead," Lea asked quieting down after some of the owls complained about the noise.

"No," Sirius said slowly. He looked at her suspiciously again.

"Harry just over heard a conversation about you between McGonagall, Fudge, Hagrid, Flitwick and the owner of the Three Broomsicks about you! He just found out everything that happened from the media's point of view and that you're his godfather," Lea said, her voice rising again, but stopping it short of causing annoyance for the owls.

"I have to explain things to him," Sirius said as he quickly rose to his feet.

"You won't do a thing," Lea nearly growled at him. "He won't exactly take kindly to you coming to visit him after what he just heard."

"He'll listen to me-"

"Not without proof. You need to show him Wormtail's alive," she said. That's when they started planning. Unfortunately, their plans didn't go exactly according to plan.

Nothing else happened until Christmas break. Lea said her goodbyes to Hermione, Ron and Harry. She even whispered a goodbye to Draco, he didn't hear.

Lea went home with a twisted stomach, nervous. She hadn't written her mother about Remus being a werewolf, or her getting bitten because Dumbledore had asked her not to, what would happen if the letter fell into wrong hands?

Severus would be meeting Lea and her mother over Christmas break to explain things, as would Remus, who felt like he was intruding.
