11. Day 8

Kaya, Jayden, Jake, and George were all changing in the barn into the worn out jean and plaid shirts that had been provided for them. They were laughing at how "country" the others seemed to look when Harry walked into the barn. Most of the clothes were not the right size and the four of them were drowning in them.

"You guys look ridiculous," Harry joked.

"Is Phoebe staying?" George immediately asked as Harry walked over to find his clothes.

"I'm not sure," Harry said slipping off his shirt and slowly sliding into the red plaid shirt left in the barn for him. "I think she will but I'm not really sure if she will. Lucy is trying though even though she just yelling and throwing things."

"Let's just go see what we can find out okay guys?" Jake suggested lacing up the work boots that had been left for them.

The boots were the only thing that seemed to fit them right. Their jeans were baggy and not what any of them were use to.

"I swear I can fit another person in my jeans," Jayden joked trying to figure out how to keep them from falling off of him as he walked.

"This is truly ridiculous," Kaya said tying the plaid shirt so it wasn't swallowing her.

"Don't worry you still look adorable," Harry winked at her while he finished lacing up his boots.

As the five of them finished getting ready the question still remained about whether or not Phoebe was staying in the house or not. The five roommates that were already down at the barn though knew they should start working immediately. All the Phoebe drama would have to be taken care of later.

"So I found some jugs and a cart outside the barn," George said walking back inside to the group.

"Alright, Kaya you stay up here with Jayden and figure out what we are working with," Harry suggested. Kaya and Jayden nodded in agreement. "Jake, you and I can head down to the river to get water. I saw a few barrels on the way down here. And George," Harry was leading the group well and they were surprised by this, "you can go play with the chickens. But mainly just make sure they are set up right. They are probably in the other half of the barn."

"Sounds good," the other four said in unison.

"So do we all agree to work together then?" Jayden asked.

"Yes," everyone responded together knowing that they would need each other because each could only really do so much for themselves.

"It's getting close to eleven so it'll start getting hot soon. Jake and Harry you should just get as much as you think you can handle. Once you get tired stop though okay? We don't want you to overwork yourselves."

"Yeah mate, and if you want after a few trips you two can take a break and George and I can take a few trips down there," Jayden piped in his suggestion.

"Sounds like we all have a pretty good plan," Jake said. "Let's go Harry."

Harry and Jake headed out of the barn and the bright sun nearly blinded them as they walked toward the side of the barn. They loaded the push cart up with eight jugs that appeared to hold one gallon each. Harry took the push cart and Jake grabbed two more jugs to carry himself.

The two started the mile long walk down a hill to the river.

"Damn, it's going to suck pushing this back up this hill," Harry complained.

"I can take it back up if you want," Jake said not afraid of the hard work.

"I'll get it this time around and you can next go okay?"

Jake just nodded thinking that Harry was only going to try and impress Kaya. He was also going to try and impress her.

Once the two of them got to the bottom of the hill they noticed the river was really close. The only thing they hadn't noticed was the rocky ground surrounding the river.

"This is going to be harder than I thought," Harry said looking over at Jake.

"Let's carry the jugs back and forth. Let's not risk popping the tire to the cart," Jake said making his way over the rocky patch.
