Remembering the Past

Twenty year old Scarlet Mason is a girl who tried forgetting everything when she thought the famous Louis Tomlinson was ruining her life. When she tried forgetting, so did he. She moved to Oregon and Louis continued with his band. When he ends up touring from West to East, will they run into each other again?

2. Where did he come from?

I get up off the couch at 6:30 am and run to the bathroom, I had an interview at 8 am and I didn't want to be late. I turn on the shower and strip out of my clothes from the day before. I told you I was trying to remember and I'm getting better at it. Yeah, maybe I did fall asleep in yesterday's clothes on the couch in the living room of my apartment, but at least I slept.

I pour the silky shampoo into the palm of my hand and begin to scrub my scalp. The water turns my brown hair into a darker shade, looking almost black. After I finish in the shower, I wrap one towel around my hair and another towel around my body.

As I brush my teeth I look in the mirror and see my awful gray eyes staring back at me. It seems almost impossible, but I was cursed with brown hair and gray eyes, a combination no guy ever wants to look at.

I put the tooth brush back in its holder and rush out of the bathroom and into my bedroom. I open up my closet door and step back a little so I can see what options I have. I pull out the first dress I see, and decide that this article of clothing should never be worn in public. It was too lacy and just barely reached mid thigh, it also had a sweet-heart neckline and was black. Talk about lingerie...

After tearing my closet limb from limb I decide on a loose blue button-up shirt and some black skinny jeans. I'm only 20 and seeing that I'm applying for a job at a flower and coffee shop, I don't need to get dressed up. I apply a bit of mousse to my damp hair and voila! Done.

I throw on a pair of white sandals, I grab my phone, keys and wallet and head out the door. I check the time on my phone, it reads 7:15. Wow, that was fast. I decide that I'll stop at a breakfast place and get something to eat.

I unlock my black jeep and hop into the front seat. Today, the doors and roof stay attached because there's a chance it's going to rain.

I pull up to a blue building several blocks away from my apartment building and park in one of the many parking spaces.

I used to come to this restaurant every Wednesday with my dad. But he's gone now, and today isn't Wednesday, it's Friday. It's called Waffletown but it's not actually that great, I'm just hungry.

I open the front door and the bell chimes, I see a sign that reads 'Seat yourself' and I do just that. Choosing a booth in the back of the restaurant, I set my wallet and phone down and pick up a menu. I begin to read it when I hear the bell chime again, curiosity takes over me and I turn around, wishing I had never chosen to do that.

Memories flood into my head, the world freezing for just a minute. We had a tree that was so big it was in both of our backyards, so we climbed out of our windows and would just sit there, talking. Another time, in our teens, we decided to sneak out and run around town, just being destructive. And then again -when I was 19 and he was 18- him and I and four other boys went for a six mile walk and then went to an under twenty one club. One of the guys was a year older than me and I thought I was falling in love with him, come to find out, I did. And I still am in love with him.

But this boy who just walked through the doors, isn't him.
