19. Louis found my phone

A/N- Literally one of the hardest things to do is indent paragraphs, so I'm just gonna stop doing that... But enjoy! Sorry for the late update again, I'm gonna try and update at least every other day if I get time :)

Also, I might be starting another story but on Wattpad because I can update more frequently on there and... yeah.

BUT, ON WITH THE STORY!

~

Oh no.

"I'm just not in the mood for this," I say.

"Scarlet, I don't care if you don't like it, I just don't want you to starve. Do you like salad?" He is completely calm about this which I am very thankful for. This boy practically lives off Nando's 24/7, you can't blame me for overreacting.

"No, I don't particularly like shoving leaves in my mouth," the words spill from my mouth as a sickly sweet smile spreads across my face and Niall bursts out laughing.

"Maybe a burger?" I add.

"That's more like it! I don't know if they have burgers here, but they will if you want one!" Niall jumps up to go get the waitress instead of waiting for her to show up again and I just sip on my soda and pull out my phone, waiting for him to return. But the thing is, I don't have my phone.

I stand up and look around the booth, I swear I brought my phone with me. I see Niall's phone laying on the other side of the table and blindly pick it up. Pressing the circle button on the bottom, I see he has two missed calls and three texts from Louis. I swipe across the bottom and see a pass-code lock show up. Niall used to let me into his phone all the time, and I'm just hoping he hasn't change the password.

1801- the year the Irish potato famine started. I am granted access into his phone and it pulls up his texts right away and I see what Louis said, and relief floods through me, and is then replaced by pure fear.

*Hey mate, tell Scar she left her phone behind, I saw it on the ground in the stairwell.* That's when the relief comes.

*Are you going to be back soon? -Louis*

*Whoa, Scar doesn't have a lock on her phone!* That's when the fear sets in. This text was the most recent, sent one or two minutes ago. Who know what he'll find! I had so many short stories written in my notes and... well, I actually don't remember what they were written about, and that scared me more.

"What are you doing?" Niall asks when he sees me going through his phone.

"Uhh L-Louis texted you," I stutter.

"Why do you look like you've just seen a ghost?" I pass his phone to him across the table and he doesn't seem to get it, until he reads the messages. I don't think he knows how to react, so he just comforts me.

"It's okay, he's not going to find anything important," he reassures me. "He might make you an instagram or something, but that's about as far as he'll go. But look on the bright side, I got your burger to go and..." He holds up three white Styrofoam boxes to place the food in and before I know it, we're leaving the restaurant.

"But Niall, what if-" I pester him for the thirtieth time.

"Would you stop with the what ifs?! We're here!" He pulls up to the hotel and I jump out of the car, going right to the elevator instead of straight to the steps. I hear his laugh echo through the small space as he takes in my frightened look.

"It's okay, it's only a fifteen second ride. Not even that long." But I don't hear him. Because I can't hear anything or see anything. All I feel is the cold metal walls pressed against my palms and my chest heaving up and down. Gasping for air.

"Shh," he whispers rubbing comforting circles in the back of my hand. Niall has witnessed this happen first hand before and it's been worse, now isn't as bad.

The elevator dings and I rush out, running down the hall and banging on the door to the left.

"Louis let me in!!" I yell loudly.

"What's wrong?!" he shouts back, swinging the door open. I look down and see he's only in boxer shorts and my phone is in his hand. The screen is lit up. The background is yellow, and words are scribbled across the page in black ink. He found my notes.

"N-Nothing. Give me my phone!"

"Oh, sure. But I already told all the other boys what you wrote about us," he proudly states.

"About you?"

"Yeah, you basically wrote thirty-two notes filled with fanfiction about us, you just didn't use our actual names..."

Niall is laughing loudly behind me and my eyes have definitely dilated, probably turning my eyes black. I worriedly glance down at my phone and see that Louis is right. This is not good.

This is really, really bad.
