Lost

Angel was just a girl that sit in the back of the room, a girl bullied for not following everyone else's ideas of perfection, a girl confused about who she is. That is, until she finds out who, or should I say what, she is.

Lost: Chapter Eight

June 21, 2013

I awoke to an extruitiating pain in my back. I let out a loud scream and was instantly comforted by Nate. I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath, it felt like my skin was being ripped apart and burned from the inside out. It wasn't only my back either, my head and hands too. Nathan was about to put his hands on me but I put mine up, telling him not to. "I want to try to handle it." "No woman has ever been able to, and there's only one that's supposed to be able to. Or even want to try." "Let me guess, like the 'chosen one' is all those fairy tales?" I asked as calm as possible, even though it still sounded like a growl because of the pain. "Right." Nate said with absolute confidence. I lifted the back of my shirt and wrapped it around my neck before going to the end of my bed and taking slow, deep breaths. I could feel Nate's eyes on me, wondering when I'll cave and ask to be saved from this pain. But it never happend. An hour later I felt my skin tear and fairy-like wings shot out of my back, I released a blood-curdling scream as this happend. Nate ran to my side and whispered "You did it." My mom and dad were in the room before I could take another breath "Nate? Did you help her?" My father asked. "Not a bit, in fact, she told me to stay away while she was going through it." "Told you? As in, spoke while in the early processes of the change? Even I couldn't do that, no one could." My mother interjected. "Wait! My wings, they aren't white and feathery, they're translucent and sparkly. They're more this fairy wings." My mother smiled "Just like the prophecy."
