Some Poems I Wrote at Vanderbilt Summer Academy

The title says it all. I wrote these at a Summer School at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and I want to share them with the world. :)

6. A World Filled with Harmonic Goodness

In my quiet bedroom I start to strum

To express my feelings on the slick brown.

The vibrating strings as I play the swirling melody

Have appeared in my dream.

The chords that play against the steal .

My bedroom is now filled with music.

As I sit on my bed with a room brimming with music

I imagine my hand strum.

The contrast between the strings of steel

And the strings made out of nylon in brown

Have appeared in my dream

Last night. I fantasize myself playing the melody.

I stuff the muffled bedroom with delicate melody

That is so tasteful and dainty in the music

Just as they arose in my dream.

As my semi-graceful hands strum

On the vibrating strings made with brown

Attitude and attractive chords start to play on the steel..

The room is encompassed with the sound of nylon and steel

Strings softly playing the loving melody.

The melody that touched my heart as if my heart was the brown

Guitar as the sound travels around my room and fills the air with music.

My hands continue to strum

The harmonious melody from my dream.

Present in the air is my dream

As my hands strum harder on the steel

Strings, avoiding the ones made out of nylon I continue to strum

The harsh melody.

The loud smash converts into music

And the chords seep into the brown.

The air is still, mischievous and filled with brown.

Slowly the dream

Of my world translates into music.

The beauty of the chords played on steel

Brings forth a hopeful memory

As I sit in my quiet bedroom and strum.

My hands strum on the acoustic-electric carved brown

Painting the melody of my dream

That started out on a blank canvas, and transformed into music.
