5. Chapter 5

A/N: Okay, so I know that probably no one is reading this anymore since it's been like 50 years since the last time I updated. However, I have grown in my writing and have some pretty interesting ideas and twists to put on this story. So, here goes nothing and I hope you enjoy!

Grace's POV

I watched in awe as Alyssa skipped out the door with a dreamy gleam in her eyes. I sighed and closed the door behind her and Niall. I sauntered to my room and pulled my hair up into a messy bun along the way. Pulling out my laptop from underneath my bed, I heard the buzzer for our condo from outside the complex. I groaned and shoved my laptop back under my bed. Dragging myself to our door I pressed the button allowing the stranger up, not bothering to check and see who it was.

"Get out of the way loser."

"Stop it!"

"I was here first!" The two familiar voices argued as I arched an eyebrow and looked through the peep hole. What I saw was unbelievable...

"Are you even sure this is the right place? Niall could've been wrong."

"Hmm, I don't know, why don't you leave and see if it a different condo, and I'll take my chances and look here." As the final word came out of his mouth, I saw the most beautiful mountain of curls, other than my own, on earth. Harry. Styles. Right behind him was none other than Louis Tomlinson. Immediately I leaped back and breathed heavily, attempting to calm myself down. They must not know Niall already picked Alyssa up, right? A knock sounded behind me as the two continued to quietly bicker.

I opened the door and peeked my head out. "Umm... Alyssa's gone. Niall's already picked her up for their 'not-date', so I'll be heading back in now..." I began to close the door as a foot stuck itself between the door and its frame.

"Oh love, we're here for you," Harry smirked

"Oh. My. God. Could you be any creepier?" Louis smacked Harry upside the head and pushed open the door a little further. My eyes met Louis' and I couldn't pull them away. I felt a stupid smile spread across my face as a nervous giggle came out of my mouth. I forced a hand over my mouth and looked away awkwardly.

"Well, uh, c-come on in," I giggled again, "I'm sorry I don't usually stutter a lot, or like ever actually."

The boys walked in and looked around before they both plopped on the couch. "Its cozy," Louis smiled as he bounced on the cushions and pulled me down gently to sit next to him. Harry moved over to the couch we were sitting on and squished me between the two of them. "So um, Grace. Do you wanna-"

"GRACE BE MY DATE TO THE RED CARPET GALA!" Harry interrupted pulling my arm to make me face him.

"Dude what the fuck! You knew I was gonna ask Grace!" Louis growled then sighed and looked at me with sad eyes, "Well Grace? Who's it gonna be?"

Oh. Shit.

Alyssa's POV

After a short flight and a decent taxi ride, Niall and I finally arrived at Nandos. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a lot better than what it was. The food was fantastic, but the atmosphere... chaotic. As soon as we walked through the door, we were surrounded. Everyone was crowding Niall, asking for autographs, cramming in selfies, it was overwhelming. My head started to spin as I pushed through the crowd. Finally, I made it to fresh air and looked back at the crowd surrounding Niall.

I picked a table and sat for what felt like hours, but was probably only 20 minutes. I spun my straw inside my water and saw a figure sit down in front of me. I looked up and saw Niall look at me with sad eyes.

"Alyssa, I am so sorry. Its not usually this crowded on a Tuesday." Niall shrugged and looked down. "I know its not the 'not-date' you probably imagined, but-"

"Niall, honestly its okay. I know you're a star, obviously, I just... I don't know, unrealistic expectations I guess." I smiled softly. "I know I'm not good enough for you. I'm just a fan. Its all I'll ever be..." I stood up and started to go when I felt a slightly callused hand take hold of my soft one.

"You may be a fan Alyssa, but you're also the only person I want to accompany me to the Red Carpet Gala this Saturday." Niall smiled softly and stood up as I looked up at him.

"You mean it? I'm not like getting Punk'd or something?" I looked around for hidden cameras as i heard Niall chuckle.

"Yes I mean it. We're friends now." Niall smiled and kissed my hairline gently before sitting back down, "Now let's finish our 'not-date'." I smiled and sat back down across from him then ordered our food.

Although it wasn't ideal, I don't know if I could've asked for anything better. I cannot wait to tell Grace. This oughtta add some excitement to her average life.
