Tell Me A Lie.

well, its my first ever fan-fiction. hope u like it :D

1. For Amanda.

Natalie’s POV

Ok. A little confession here. My friend, Amanda Kelms, had cancer and she recently died because of it. She and I are huge directioners, but I guess in her case it’s a ‘was’.

During her last days in the hospital, she said to me, “I need you to do something for me.”

“Remember the last time I was in the hospital, and I thought I was gonna die?” she asked.

I clearly remembered it, so I gave a gentle nod. She said, “Well, you remember what I asked you to do for me, as a dying wish?”

“Yup. You asked me to click naked pictures of all the One Direction members, coz they were in town and their hotel was in my block. That is what I call great timing.” I added, “But, it was alright since you agreed to throw them after you’ve seen it once and for all.”

“Um, about the throwing part… ”

I lifted up my eye brow and said,”DO NOT TELL ME THAT YOU STILL HAVE THOSE PICTURES!!”

“Sorry, but I couldn’t do it.”

“Damn it. You, Amanda H., are the craziest cancer patient on earth.”

She said with a sad smile, “Looks like that’s gonna change since I’m gonna die.”

I sat closer to her in hospital bed. I leaned forward to hug her tight and say, “Hey, don’t say that. You’re gonna live okay?”

“We’ll see. So, wanna know what my dying wish is this time?”

“This better be good,” I said with a big smile.

“There is a box in my socks drawer. There are some things inside that box, which I want you to keep. And grab that box before my mom does. Okay?”

“Better than illegal photography of celebs.”

It was 1st of May when she died. I cried like a cloud that hadn’t shed its water for years. I had almost forgotten about her box, until her mom gave it to me on her funeral day.

“Don’t worry, I didn’t open it.”

“Thanks.” I looked at the box, which had a big label on, saying-

Well, that explains a lot. It was at home when I opened the box. It had stuff like our first ever pic together, her favourite doll, her personal diary (I didn’t know she kept one), and a tiny box. I opened it to find the most tragedic letter ever and a sealed envelope.  The letter said,

Dear Natalie,

Before you open the envelope, I want you know that I don’t want you to get into trouble but, I seriously couldn’t throw them away, and I want you to keep them. They are the pictures you took last time for my false dying wish. Remember?

Now don’t freak out. It’s okay. I want you to keep ‘em. You can do whatever you want with them, but DO NOT BURN OR THROW THEM AWAY. PLEASE. It’s a dead best friend’s, cancer patient’s and a true directioner’s wish. And have a happy life. Miss you in heaven. :)

PS- I know you’re gonna get married to Louis someday and have a bunch of great kids. :D

-Love, Amanda.<3
