Chapter 2:

Alice's POV:

The phone finally said in a robotic voice, "your destination is on the right."

I found myself pulling into the driveway of what resembled a palace. The only thing about the building that gave the school aspect away was the students walking in and out.

I parked in an empty parking space, still speechless by the exterior of the school. This was one hell of a place. There was a small ounce of doubt in my mind that was telling me, 'This is so not your new school.' But, I knew it was by the big stone sign out front that read, "Bev Prep" in big red letters.

As I looked around at the students and their appearances, I could tell that what I had chosen to wear today was a good one. I'd fit right in with their fancy intriguing looks. I didn't see one girl that passed by my car with jeans on. All of them were either in dresses or skirts. Not pants. I could only imagine that if they did where pants, they'd be dress pants.

I saw a few girls in jumpers but that was about it. I'm pretty sure every car in the lot was a sports car. Good thing I didn't take the old pickup truck but then again, why would I? With all the options I have I'm pretty sure the old clunker was the last thing on my mind.

I grabbed the hot pink Celine purse, that was probably imported from some foreign country, from next to me. I slowly rows out of the Camaro.

Once I took my first step on the pavement I let out a breath I hadn't even realized I'd been holding. I shut the door then locked the car.

I could already feel the eyes of prying preps looking at me. It didn't bother me as much as it should have but that still didn't stop the butterfly's from invading my stomach. I tried my best to keep a salaam expression as I approached the stone building.

Instead of being weak I decided to keep my head held high and walk in the school with pride.

I tried to make as little eye contact as possible but when I did, I crossed gazes with awe-struck people. They almost seemed... Hypnotized.. Weird? I couldn't look that good? Could I? I knew now that almost everyone outside was staring at me because all conversations stopped and only soft murmurs filled the air.

One of the many boys that I've passed so far stuck out to me the most. I had to do a double take when I met his gaze. He seemed perfect. Not like the cookie cutter boys I've seen so far but this kinda perfect was almost.. To perfect. Like someone had painted him the perfect face and the perfect body. He had high cheek bones and a perfectly chiseled jaw line. His dark brown hair was perfectly styled with hazel eyes to match. He was as tan as everyone else but his skin color made him look like a god compared to the fake blondes who got fancy spray tans. He wore a black T-shirt that clung to his toned chest and a pare of dark jeans hung loosely at his hips.

He was absolutely stunning. No one could be that perfect ..Well except for him. It almost pained me to stop staring at him. It seemed twice as hard for him to do the same. When I glanced back at him, a look of distress was carved into his facial features. Was that look because he was appalled by me? Well that thought just brought down my mood.

I shook off the weird thoughts and continued inside. The interior was just as amazing as the exterior. Everything was perfect! Including the poeple in it. All the girls I've seen so far resemble models, same with the guys... except for the God that I passed outside. I still couldn't shake his amazing looks.

I finally made my way to the office. The lady at the front desk seemed as if she was in some sort of daze. My heels clicked on the stone floors as I approach shaking her out of it.

She gave me a warm smile and said, "You must be Alice!" I nodded as she continued, "Wonderful! Welcome to Bev! My name is Daizy but you can call me Ms. Ross. I have your schedule here and your guide for the day will be in shortly. I hope everyone here makes you feel right at home!"

I nodded with a smile, "Thanks."

She then handed me my schedule and I took a seat on one of the comfy couches.

A few minutes later a girl walked into the office. She had straight blonde hair and a floral dress on. She wore light pink heels. They mimiced the sound my heels made when I walked across the stone floors too. I have yet to see her face since she hasn't turned around yet.

She walked up to Ms. Rosses desk and asked,"New Girl?" her vocie was high & perky

Ms. Ross nods towards me and the perky girl turned around with her hair swinging with her. This girl was flawless.. just like the boy I saw when i walked in. She hada light pink ribon in her hair, pulling back her bangs that I hadent noticed before. She had a small petite nose and green eyes. She put a bright fake smile on her face as she made her way over to me.

I got up just before she got to me. Her smile never fadded or faltered the hole way over. She then said, "Hi, I'm Caroline! I'll be your guide for the day, escorting you to all your classes and sitting with you at lunch so you're not lonely."

I smiled back, "Thanks."

She nodded, "We better get going if Im gonna show you your locker. Can i see your schedule?"

I nodded. She took the slip from out of my hands then quickly scanned it over. She handed it back to me in a matter of seconds and started to walk away.

I took that as my Q to follow. I caught up to her farly quickly and as if she knew I was right there, she began to talk.

"Your locker is on level 2 along with mine. Freshmen and sophomores are on level 1, juniors are on level 2 and senoirs are on level 3. Since your a Junior your on level 2... with me."

She said the last part as if she had let something slip. I then realized why she sounded unsure about her last statement...it was because I never told her my age.

I then asked, "How'd you know I was a Junoir?"

She cursed under breath, "Um.. your schedual said it."

I looked down at the paper.

She lied.

It wasn't on there but I did see my locker number so maybe she just knew what floor that locker was on? I decided to let it go and continued on.

We took the escalator up to the second level and she stopped at a blue locker with the number 250 engraved at the top. This ment my locker was directly in the middle of everyone. These lockers went all the way up from 200 to 299 until they started up at the next level at 300.

I could still see people glancing over at me but I did my best to shut them out.

She then said, "So Alice, this is your locker."

I nodded. Yet another thing I had never told her. I decided to disregard it considering she would just tell me the same thing she said about knowing my grade, 'it's on the schedule.'

She then said to me, "This is where you'll keep your books and bags ect. Now i'll show you to your first class!"

We continued to walk down the hall as I asked her, "Don't you need to look at the list again?"

She shook her head, "Good memory?"

Of corse, another excuse...

We came to a set of Silver doors that she easily pushed through.

This was the end of the hall. There was another set of escalators and then a red door that I could only asume was a classroom. People walked in and out of the red door thats seemed to push both ways.

She pointed to the red door and said, "Thats your first hour, chemistry!"

I nodded, "Thanks again."

"No problem. I'll meet you at these silver doors at the end of this hour to take you to your next class."

I nodded in agreement. She then turned just like she had before and walked away down the hall.

Odd. All I have to say, is odd.

The bell then rang as I realized people had stopped exiting and entering.

I walked over to the red door and pushed it open. Everyone was already seated.

I looked around the room and all eyes where on me. Including the teacher. He was a burly man with rossy red cheeks. He had little to no hair atop his head and he wore tan khakis and a blue button down shirt with visible pit stains. The short teacher stood up and walked over to me saying, "Hello, I'm Mr. Roberts and you must be Alice Heart."

I nodded with a smile, "Yes sir."

He nodded a toothy grin then said, "Take an empty seat next to someone and lets get started."

I nodded. I looked around the room at all the bright red 2 seater tables. Every table was taken except the one all the way in the back. The one person I was trying to avoid most was sitting at it. It was the perfect boy. The destressed look returned to his face as he realized I had to sit next to him.

Yup. It was deffinatly me. He didnt seem to like me one bit and right about now I wasent to fond of him either.

I sighed then made my way to the back of the room.
