Chapter 4:

-Jane's POV-

I was frozen in my spot, the leftover tears of fear still blurring in my eyes as
the man was giving Harry a menacing look.

"I guess some other time, babe." He slurs lastly, shoving me hardly over to
Harry as I stumbled forward to him, wincing at the impact of the shove. Another
warm body grazed me in their arms instead, squeezing my arm in reassurance as I
looked up at the boy, seeing it had been nobody else but Harry.

The man leaves, literally tripping every few steps he made. I quietly sobbed,
scared as hell. That has literally never happened to me before.. Some stranger
just touching me and feeling me up.

I bit my lip to fight back sobs as I cried into this boy's chest, not really
giving a shit about why or what he was to me.

By the look on his face, he didn't really know what to do either, but he
carefully wrapped me in an awkward hug.

"Are you.. Umm. Are you okay?" He gets himself to say, clearing his throat
awkwardly once again.

I sigh shakily, stubbornly pulling away from the hug, as I wiped at my eyes.
"Fine." I answered reluctantly, shrugging.

"I know how you feel." He nods.

"No you don't." I grumbled, shaking my head, sniffling slightly.

"Do I get a thank you?" He asks, smirking.

"No," I rolled my eyes, still being stubborn, not wanting any type of 'relation'
with the boy in front of me.

He frowned.

Well if you think of it.. He saved me from getting raped by a drunken man..

We awkwardly walked side by side down the street as I stared at nothing. Well we
kept our distance, nothing of brushing shoulders or anything of the sort.

"Thank you." I murmured shyly as we turned a corner. I looked down at my hands,
fiddling with my fingers.

"What was that?" He teased, cupping a hand to his ear as I shot him a glare.

"Don't push it, Styles." I grumbled.

"No, I kind of didn't hear you there." He smirked, shoving his hands into his
pockets as we continued walking, except I quickened my pace. I mean only because
I was nervous.

"I said it once, not going to say it again." I rolled my eyes.

He ruffled his curls, sweeping them to the side at the end as he glares back at
me. "You'll start thanking me more often."

I laughed."Pfft. Thanking, you? I don't think so."

"Still hate you." He smirked, cocking an eyebrow.

"And you think something's changed? Uh, no." I retorted.

Once we had reached the coffee shop that I was supposed to meet El at, I stopped
in a halt, brushing my hands over my jeans. "Well this is my stop."

"Okay, bye." He waves carelessly.

We awkwardly went our separate ways as I was about to walk into the coffee
place, but Harry stopped me.

"You think you can buy me a coffee? I'm craving one." He smirked as I turned
back to him.

"No, I don't think so." I chuckled, sticking my tongue out to the side, making a
silly face.

He shook his head. "Well don't you think you can repay me with a coffee for what
I did? I was like some superman and shit." Harry is getting once again cocky.

I rolled my eyes. "Bye. And no."

"Later, Jane." He smirked.

I answer with a slight nod as I entered the coffee shop without another glance
back at Harry.

Well wasn't that just.. Weird.

El looks at me with narrowed eyes. "You're late!" She pouted.

"Look, I'm sorry I had a bit of trouble em, getting here." I cleared my throat.

"What's Harry doing out there? Did he do something to you? Are you hurt?" My
concerned best friend, gasped, getting up from her seat to observe me.

"No, no. He.. He actually kind of did the opposite.." I bit my lip, still
confused why Harry actually "helped" me. Was it for feeling sorry for me?
Because if it was, then it meant nothing.. Lots of people do things for me only
because of sympathy. And it kind of sucked. Harry could never care for me.. And I
could never care for him either. I think it just worked that way, pretty much.

When I turned around to look outside, he was no longer standing in his spot, and
he was gone. Just gone, like that.

"What happened?" She asks, sitting back down as she looked at me curiously.

"He kind of.. Like he kind of saved me, El."

---------------

Tonight, me and El were once again going to meet up at one of our favorite clubs
in town so we could just probably have a drink or two. Maybe three?

I just wanted to let go, having fun tonight with my best friend.

I mean who knows what the hell may happen tonight. All I know is that I don't
care and I just want to have some crazy fun.

I looked at myself in the mirror applying the last layer of make up, looking at
myself with the the solution I got. I smiled, dabbing the last small touch of
lipstick, pursing my lips before I puckered them teasingly.

The dress I wore tonight was something pretty simple, it was just a skin tight
red dress that ended right above the knee and was strapless with my hair left
sown, curled just slightly.

Just when I was about to take a look at the time, El is making funny faces at my
front window.

I laughed, but that laugh slowly just died down when I saw who was behind her.
Louis.

I frowned. She was taking me as the third wheel, I should've known.

"Open the door!" She mouthed, pointing to the left at my door.

I sighed, walking in these high heels as I stumbled slightly when I got to the
door to open it.

"Hey." I waved, leaning on the door frame to find El and Louis.

"Haz did you get my phone?!" Louis shouts.

"Yeah, here you----"

"Jane?" He says the same time I say "Harry?"

"I thought it was only us three going, Lou." Harry turned to Louis.

"El.. I thought it was only us two." I frowned, sighing as I leaned heavier onto
the door frame.

Oh god..

"Well.. Since me and Lou wanted to go together, I didn't want to leave you alone
or cancel either because it would be rude of me! So I brought you a date!" She
motions over to Harry.

Me and El were having our own argument while Louis argued with Harry who also
seemed as pissed as me.

"Why him?!" I shouted frustratedly.

"Lou, you should've told me that you would bring Jane!" He groaned, as I sighed.

"It's okay. I'm just going to stay at home I guess." I mumbled. "Me and El can
go some next time."

We all exchanged looks.

I wanted this to be me and El's night though! But I guess shit happens right?
And it just gets all messed up, right? I should've saw this coming..

"Are you sure?" Louis asks me this time.

I nod once. "I'm fine. I wasn't even feeling to good anyway." I lied.

Harry stood there, with narrowed eyes at me.

Well I guess we're back to hating. We've both obviously forgot about what's
happened this afternoon.

"Well we'll be going.." El's voice trailed on. "I'm sorry. I promise we'll go
together one day. You and me." She smiled reassuringly.

I nodded. "You guys enjoy." I say with a shrug, about to close my door.

A foot blocked my door as my eyes trail up from the foot to the person's face.

"Umm.. Move or you'll lose a foot." I threatened.

"Can I stay, I don't want to be a fucking third wheel." He grumbled.

"Can I get a please?" I was now the one teasing. "And no you cannot come into my
house, you crazy." I rolled my eyes.

"Can I please stay the night." He talked through gritted teeth.

"Sleep on the porch curly." I smirked. "Now go take a hike or something." I say,
before slamming the door roughly, impacting his foot before it left the door and
I made sure to lock it.

I laughed to myself as I watch him curse loudly outside, grabbing his foot as he
sat down on my porch bench.

Lou and El had left him here in my neighborhood, so he was pretty much stuck
here because the next bus stop was about a twenty minute walk was from here.

He was cussing at me, looking pretty pissed which made me laugh in triumph as I
smirked, shutting the shutters on him, teasingly waving before doing it.

I sat on my living room couch, still feeling lazy to get out of the dress as I
switched the tv on, ignoring Harry's angry shouts for me to open up the door.

I just loved seeing the boy suffer.. It was as sweet as revenge. I loved it.

-----------

I wake up from a sleep, blinking my eyes as I squinted, glaring at the
luminating light coming from the television.

"Hey bunny, why don't you----"

I interrupted the tv, by switching it off and yawning.

The sound outside seemed to cease as I smiled to myself. He probably took my
advice and actually went to go take a hike.

How long was I asleep? It's now nearly midnight.. I was sleeping for over two
hours.. Wow. I sleep as peaceful as a cat.

I listen to the water running hardly. It sounded like a shower almost, but
instead it was outside. Was it raining? Thunder interrupted my thoughts, making
me jump slightly as I looked at the roof.

"Shit." I mumbled. It was raining pretty hard. How ling has it been raining?

"Shit!" I cuss again. I think it's been raining for quite a long time.. I open
my shutters worriedly, seeing that Harry actually did fall asleep on my porch
and he was soaked. I bit my lip, watching closely as he shivered.

This is what I wanted though, so I think I should just leave him, and let him
freeze to death.

Wait.. No. I can't let him freeze to death. I can't have a corpse on my porch!
I've gone crazy.

"God dammit." I mumbled, shaking my head as I unlocked my door, swinging it open
as the strong wind immediately blew my hair back. The heavy drops of water
immediately getting to my body.

"Harry!" I shouted over the rain, shaking him awake.

"Get up!" I shook him.

He's still shivering.

"God please help me." I mumbled to myself as I sighed, helping the nearly
freezing boy into my house, sitting him on my couch.

Was I.. Was I guilty? No, I can't be.

"I'll be right back. Just.. Stay warm." I say, walking over to my heater,
flicking it on.

I ran upstairs to my closet, grabbing a towel and running back downstairs.

I toss it to him as he shakily grabs it, wrapping it around himself.

"I-It's s-so c-c-cold.." He stutters, teeth chattering as he closed his eyes.

"God damn, you won't be warm if you have those damp clothes on you. Dumb ass." I
grumbled, running my fingers through my now wet hair.

Did I even have any boy clothes? I sighed, pondering.

Before I knew it, Harry was slowly taking off his shirt as I stopped his hand
from going further.

"Woah, woah what are you doing?" My eyes widened.

He looked at me, giving me a 'seriously?' look. "S-shit, I'm taking m-my
c-clothes off so I-I can l-let them d-dry.."

"O-okay. I w-won't look." His stuttering caught on to me. But the only thing was
that I was nervous.

I quickly left to the kitchen, boiling a pot of water for some tea. Tea was
good. Right?

I sat there in the kitchen for awhile, growing bored as I sighed, getting up and
walking into the living room.

Which I immediately regretted.

I screamed in horror, slamming my hands over my face as I turned away.

Harry was wearing literally nothing. He was butt naked.

"HARRY! SHIT!" I shouted.

"Gosh, you've never seen a guy naked?" He whispered. "Which is pretty expected
that you have a million times."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I frowned.

"You've had hook ups, right?" He says as I gasped.

Thank goodness, when I turned around, he had a towel wrapped around his lower
torso as I breathed out in relief for that.

"Shut up. I'm not a whore."

"You look like one."

"Get out." I say simply. "I don't care if you freeze to death, I can't stand you
in my house!" I screamed, gritting my teeth.

"What can you do, I'm already in here!"

I sighed. He was right.

Two enemies, in one house? For one night.. This wasn't going to end well, and I
just knew it.
