6. Trust Me Yet?

"So what else do you have planned for her to go out with you?" Ryan questioned me as we walked down the hallway. "Hmm I don't know. I'm gonna do stuff that will make her trust me I guess." I shrugged. He nodded. "Haha look at that bitch her books fell." Ryan laughed and pointed to a girl on her knees picking up her books. I swear Ryan can be a dick at times. I shook my head and walked up to her. I picked up some of the books and papers that were scattered around. "Here ya g-" I cut myself off. "Miley?" I asked to make sure. She bit her lip and grabbed the books and papers that were in my hands. She had a busted lip and a bruise over her left eye. She also had a cut across her right cheek. She got up and dusted herself off. "What happened?" I asked. "N-nothing." She shook her head and started walking away. "M-" I was cut off by some chants. "SlutRoberts!" "You do anything for money huh?" "Hey my dad hasn't had pussy in a while. Mind coming over for 5 dollars?" They kept chanting and shouting insults at her. "Shut the fuck up!" I yelled at the guys. They were those low life skater dudes. They looked at me and surprised was written all over their faces. "Leave Miley alone. Go fuck with some one else!" I yelled. Anger taking the best of me. "Justin? Defending the bitch he used to beat up and insult on? Wow." I heard people commenting. "Fuck off! Just mind your own fucking business!" I yelled at the crowd surrounding me. "He's just getting laid by her." Another student commented. "Keep your fucking comments to yourself! She's my friend. We haven't been in bed together nor have I even kissed her so fuck off and leave us alone." I spat. These people are pissing me off. "Wow. When Courtney dumped him he went down hill." Another commented. "What is that suppose to mean?" I called into the students who were staring at me. Trying to find the guy who keeps commenting. "Just look at her." I finally found the guy. He was pretty tall but shorter then me. He had skater hair. He had a cap the opposite way and had shorts on with a baggy shirt. "She's a slut and a good for nothing bitch that deserves to die." He shrugged and pointed at Miley who was trying to keep the tears in. I walked up to him.  "Who are you to be saying stuff like that? You don't know her life. You don't know anything about her! You only know her name not her story. You see her bruises but not the reason so stop assuming shit. If there's a good for nothing piece of shit here is you!" I spat in his face. "You used to do it before you went soft." He said. "Oh because I made a mistake and started bullying people that means you have to do it too?" I questioned. He just stayed quiet. I slammed the locker next to him. "God damn it! Answer me!" I yelled. He flinched but stayed quiet. I pulled him by the shirt and slammed him against the locker. "Idiot." I mumbled under my breath. I walked up to Miley and grabbed her hand and pulled her down the hallway and out the school. We walked down the side walk and onto a grassy area by the football field. "T-thanks." She stuttered out after a long moment of silence. "Your welcome." I smiled. "W-what did they mean about your dad?" I asked. I wasn't sure if it would make her uncomfortable or not. "C-can we not talk about this?" She sighed. I nodded. The bell rang indicating lunch was over. "I have to go." She stood up and walked away.
