Forbidden ~ Harry Styles ~ (On Hold)

* Harry is not famous in this story *

Many say how there are two kinds of people in this world.

In Pax town there certainly are two kinds of very different people. I never really understood the name of our little town, after all "pax" means peaceful in latin, but believe me, we're anything but.

From a very young age I've been told to stay away from them. You may call them The Rebels, but out here everyone calls them the lower class, the scums, the bastards.

We are very different from them, like North and South, hot and cold; we're complete opposites. Besides the constant rumours about them going around, I can't help but think what it would be like to be them for a day....

My father would never allow it. He'd never let his only daughter do anything close to danger.
Apart from all the warnings, there's always one of the rebels who catches my eye.

I believe his name is Harry, Harry Styles.

6. Heartbreaker

I could hear Bella forcing the wooden handle and demanding me to open.

For the first time in years I went with my instinct.

In a heartbeat, I pushed Harry into my closet and shut the door muffling his protests.

I skipped over to the door and opened it plastering a wide smile on my face to hide any suspicion.

Just as I swung the wooden frame, the golden dropped and rolled along the carpeted floor.

I looked into her Bella's eyes as she raised her perfectly groomed eyebrows and raked her eyes across my room.

"Oh, hello. I didn't know you were coming to visit me."

My attempts to blank my face were going good but knowing Belle, she could probably go past my guard.

Still, she smiled a little at my greeting.

"Hey, hon. What took you so long to open these doors? You had me screaming like a crazy person..... Hold on." She stopped mid sentence and studied me for a moment before continuing. "Is there someone else in here?"

She stood there with a knowing look as I gulped loudly.

I really did dislike lying to anyone, especially her.

But I had to do something about this.

"No, it's just me in here. I was simply resting and that is why it took me a little while to answer you."

I tried to keep my face straight and she examined my eyes.

Right as she sighed and was about to say something, a bump came from my closet.

I pressed my lips into a thin line and turned back to look at Bella who had a cheeky smile across her lips.

Without another word she walked into my room and to the closet.

Oh no.

I cannot let her find Harry.

I turned her around right before she reached it and held her shoulders in place.

"Before taking one step further just tell me something. Where have you been for the past few days? You had me worried crazy and now you just walk in here, accusing me of having someone hidden in my room."

I was both surprised and impressed at how serious my tone came out.

She seemed to believe it as well because her eyes fell in embarrassment.

Now I just have to find a way to get Harry out.

"I'm sorry, you are completely right. It's just that I heard a manly voice up here but maybe it was just my head. James has been keeping me busy, persuading me to show him around. He really likes it here but argues that I keep him inside for too long."

This is my chance.

"Yes, I talked to him the other day. I have an idea, since he wants to get out and about why don't we go for a walk tomorrow?"

I added extra emphasis on the "get out" part to give Harry a hint.

Bella sent me a questioning look but I shrugged it off.

I saw Harry slowly open the door and winked at me just as Bella commenced to talk.

"That sounds good. Tomorrow will be very hot and sunny! I cannot wait."

It was very hard to keep a hold of her shoulders while she jumped in excitement.

Harry was halfway across my room when one of my coats fell from its hanger.

Bella turned around so fast that I wasn't able to stop her.

Thankfully Harry also moved fast and immediately fell to the floor, using my bed as shelter.

"Rachel, don't tell me that I didn't just hear that. I'm sorry but I'm checking your closet."

Perfect.

I placed my irritated face on and sighed.

"Fine. If you don't trust me then check for yourself."

I followed her to my closet as she looked around, she kept looking back at me so I made sure to not lose the eye contact.

Instead I simply signalled for Harry to get out with a movement of my hand.

"You know what? I'm going to search under your bed."

Oh no.

"That is not necessary. Why are you searching my room like it's a crime scene?"

My attempts to stop her failed and before I knew it she was right beside my bed.

I braced myself for a scream of some sort but heard nothing but a sigh of relief.

"I'm sorry, hon. You were telling the truth. It's just that I finally thought you found someone other than Luke. You know the guy annoys me to the nerve with all his talking of money."

Bella was not Luke's biggest fan, but she never showed it since her dad would not permit it.

"I understand. You just care, that's all."

I offered her a smile and she returned it.

"Alright. I better be off, don't want to bother you anymore." Her eyes came down to my mother's butterfly necklace for a brief moment. "I really love your necklace. Very beautiful, you should wear that tomorrow."

She came closer and hugged me purposefully squeezing me as I hugged her back.

We both laughed as she walked out the door.

"Goodnight." I said before I closed my door.

I stood there for a few seconds before turning around.

My feet carried me to the open window which I had failed to notice earlier.

As soon as my hand made contact with the wooden frame long fingers interlaced between my own.

I gasped but relaxed once I noticed it was Harry.

Hanging from my window.

"You are a great liar, but lying is for rule breakers."

He was smirking at me as he pulled himself over the window.

"Well sometimes good girls need to break some rules. I could be a heartbreaker for all you know."

When had I become this flirty?

I had no idea, but one thing I did know was that Harry helped me see a whole different perspective.

He laughed at my response as he lowered his lips to my hand.

They made contact with my skin as he slowly kissed the back of my hand.

"Well then, I think I'm falling in love with a heartbreaker."

My body went numb at his sentence.

Falling in love?

He sat there holding my hand and smiling at me as his other hand stroked my cheek.

"I need to go now, but maybe I'll see you tomorrow during your walk."

He raised his eyebrows as humour and amusement filled his beautiful green eyes.

"What happened to the fearless Harry?"

I was joking but secretly hoped that he wouldn't leave.

I liked talking to Harry, I could just spill my thoughts to him.

"I think that almost getting busted is enough for one day. I will see you soon, so don't hesitate to go walking around at night because I will always find you."

I laughed at his suggestion and wrapped my arms around his muscular yet gentle form, embracing him.

He pecked my forehead which surprised me.

Harry was strangely gentle for a rebel.

With one last wave he quietly climbed into a nearby tree.

I watched him until he disappeared between buildings.

My bed was my top priority right now.

I made my way over to it and laid down between the soft sheets.

I let sleep take over, flooding me with dreams.

But even as I closed my eyes, I could still see those mesmerizing green eyes.
