34. Graduation

Cole's POV

“Nicole!” I heard my twin yell from outside.

“What Nic?”

“Where is the radio? I hate this music.”

“I love this song first of all, and find it, I'm busy.” Nic was over trying out the pool at our house. I told the girls it could be like their second home, and boy did they take that one to their advantage.

“Doing what?!”

“I don't know, packing for PA?”

“About that..."

“What?”

“I'm not sure I'm going.”

“Nicole! You have too! TOW is playing, and the guys are coming with us. This is our graduation also. We get to walk across the stage to Pomp and Circumstance and turn our tassel, all the stupid cliché things. This is our chance!”

“I'll think about it."

“What's stopping you? I feel like this is what you've been waiting for since, well, forever!”

“I have, but I don't know. With everything that's been going on here...maybe we should just stay.”

“Nicole Renee Walzer. I am not letting you stay. Get your ass to my closet, your closet, or hell, V's closet and find some clothes. We're going to be there for a week."

“Ugh. So demanding.”

“How would it look if V and I went, but not you?! And you're even graduating! Virginia isn't, and she's still excited to go.”

“Have you not heard about the murder?"

“What murder?”

“Someone was killed outside the high school about a week ago.”

“You've got to be kidding me."

“I wish I was.”

“Nic, that can't stop you from going though..”

“They don't know who did it!"

“SO WHAT? It doesn't mean we're going to be murdered Nic.”

“Well then!”

“Pack your shit. Meet us at 5, at the airport.”

“5 am?!”

“Yes, we want to get to PA early.”

“I know, but still.”

“Nicole. It's 5 am, and if you're not there, I'm coming here and dragging your ass out of bed. However, I know Harry wouldn't let you not come, so I don't think we'll have a problem.”

Louis' POV

We arrived in Pennsylvania at about 2 o'clock, but it was about another two hours before we arrived at Nic's house. The girls decided they wanted to just get ready there and then head to the school. They were 'suffering from jet lag' or so they said. I'm pretty sure it was just their excuse for taking a long time.

“Louis!” I heard Nicole shout from Nic's bedroom.

“What is it love?”

“I can't find my dress!”

“What do you mean? You had it when we were at the airport.”

“It's not here!”

“Nicole, it's got to be here. How about you take a nice 15 minute nap. Actually, V and Nic, why don't you two do the same.”

“Graduation is at six Lou! It's 4!”

“15 minutes love. I'll look for your dress while you're sleeping.” I said kissing her forehead.

“Fine, but only 15 minutes.”

“Good.” I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving her room.

Cole's POV

When I woke up from my nap I hurried to get ready. We probably should have came back to PA yesterday, but that would have made sense!

“Louis!”

“Your dress was outside of Nic's room.” He said walking in Nic's room with my garment bag draped over his arms.

“Thanks love.”

“Not a problem! So are you excited? Finally graduating!”

“I am, but nervous. I mean, I've basically left this place behind. Obviously I love Pennsylvania, but I don't visit very often, I never had to actually be in class when we became famous. Yet I still know that I'll miss being in high school, literally or not.”

“I understand. Just remember to enjoy tonight. You only get one high school graduation.” He said hugging me.

“I know. I'm glad you're here for it.”

“Me too.”

“Now I really have to get ready!”

Within the next hour we all finished our hair, make-up, and got dressed. We looked hot, but not too hot. We all decided we didn't want to flaunt our fame or money, but our boyfriends on the other hand, they were definitely flaunt worthy!

We arrived at the high school at about 5:30. Virginia stayed with us for one quick run through of our song, then she took her seat with the boys. Of course we were bombarded with people trying to talk to us, but quite honestly, half of them were bitches, and I wasn't going to start being friends with them now.

Nic and I got quite a few pictures with our friends, or just with us. We sent them all to the boys, and we knew they were dying. At about 6:10 we started making our way towards the football stadium, where graduation was being held.

We sat through all the boring stuff that happened at the beginning of graduation, then it was time for us to give a little speech and sing. Virginia made her way down to us and we took our positions as we were all handed mics.

“Hey guys! Thanks for coming out here tonight!” I said smiling.

“Cole and I were asked to give a little speech before we sing, but I promise Nicole's made it nice and short for all of us. She was always better at that stuff anyway.” Nic said laughing.

“She's not wrong.” I said getting laughter from the crowd. “So anyway, here we are, Graduation day. I know everyone says this at every graduation, but it seemed like it would never come. I don't know about all of you, but I still think I'm 14. Yeah, we aren't 14.... We may have left, but there was never a day I didn't think about you guys here. I can't say the same for Nic and V, but I honestly missed my class. You're all wonderful people, in general. Thank you for growing up with us, and congratulations guys, because we've done it. We're done with High School!” The crowd gave us all standing ovations and cheered until we calmed them down a little. “Now we're going to sing.”

Sing – My Chemical Romance

Sing it out
Boy, you've got to see what tomorrow brings
Sing it out
Girl, you've got to be what tomorrow needs

For every time that
They want to count you out
Use your voice every single time
You open up your mouth

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it, sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart, sing it 'til you're nuts
Sing it out for the ones that'll hate your guts

Sing it for the deaf, sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

Sing it out
Boy, they're gonna sell what tomorrow means
Sing it out
Girl, before they kill what tomorrow brings

You've got to make a choice
If the music drowns you out
And raise your voice every single time
They try and shut your mouth

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it, sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart, sing it 'til you're nuts
Sing it out for the ones that'll hate your guts

Sing it for the deaf, sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

Cleaned up, corporation progress
Dying in the process
Children that can talk about it

Living on the webways
People moving sideways
Sell it 'til your last days
Buy yourself the motivation

Generation nothing
Nothing but a dead scene
Product of a white dream
I am not the singer that you wanted but a dancer

I refuse to answer
Talk about the past and rooting for the ones
Who want to get away
Keep running

Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls
Every time that you lose it, sing it for the world
Sing it from the heart, sing it 'til you're nuts
Sing it out for the ones that'll hate your guts

Sing it for the deaf, sing it for the blind
Sing about everyone that you left behind
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world

We've got to see what tomorrow brings
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world
Yeah, you got to be what tomorrow needs
Sing it for the world, sing it for the world.

When we finished everyone once again stood and cheered. No matter how many times we did performances like this, I'd never get sick of it.

Nicole got her diploma right after mine, and as we stood together on the stage I heard a gun shot, everyone started screaming, Nic and I looked at each other in complete and utter terror. Another shot was fired and I saw blood spread across Nic's stomach. And another shot, I feel something penetrate my side.

A/N: I AM SO SORRY! I AM SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON! I MADE YOU WAIT TWO MONTHS FOR A FILLER CHAPTER. I'M HORRIBLE. I'M DESPICABLE. HATE ME, BUT PLEASE DON'T HATE MY STORY! I HAD BIG PLANS FOR GRADUATION, BUT THEY DIDN'T TURN OUT THE WAY I WANTED, SO I LEFT MY PATH. HAHA! Anyway, I guess the majority of that could have been typed normally, but whatever. I hate making excuses, but I have homework, Shrek: The Musical, twirling, work and many other things piled on my chaotic life, I'm going to try and write a little every night so I never make you wait that long again! And PLEASE read "The Show"

All my love,

Nicole Xx
