Dare To Dream

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”

The idea I had was to leave the last chapter with an ellipse (...) so the reader could make their own ending because I wish I could do that with books I read. So I generally never read the last chapter and make up my own ending which is a much better, rather than being disappointed when the guy gets the girl instead of a dragon coming and eating everyone. Totally better :) so anyways enjoy the beginning and middle but then the end is up to you...

Just a heads up I am really bad at writing stories and I can tell that this one I shocking! so I apologise guys

3. Henry's Day

In a house in New York an alarm clock buzzed. A hand crept out of the covers and turned off the noise. Henry grunted as he pulled himself into a sitting position.

His sheet fell away to reveal rows and rows of perfect muscular abs. He shivered at his sudden coldness and; wiping the sleep from his eyes climbed out of bed and stumbled towards the bathroom. He instantly stripped his clothes, stepped into the shower and turned the cold water tap on and let the water fall down his back.

Henry thought about what he had just 'dreamt.' He had witnessed a boy being murdered. Something that no matter how much he tried he couldn't stop, go back and change or swap the person. He thought this strange as the San masters had taught him how to control his dreams but in this instant he couldn't. He made a mental note to write to the masters and ask them why.

He thought about his father, and what he had told him as a child "“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.” He had never asked his father what that meant it had always puzzled him.

When he had finished his shower he got out and dried himself, then walked over to his desk and pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen. He began to write his letter to the San Masters

Dear Teacher,

“It is by no means an irrational fancy that, in a future existence, we shall look upon what we think our present existence, as a dream.” This is what once you told me, and forever it has baffled me to what the meaning is. You taught me how to control dreams but yesterday I witnessed a happening that I could not stop no matter how much I tried. Why I do not know and I am writing to you to ask you why? Why couldn't I change the fate of this doom fated young boy. You taught me to use my strength for the good of others but I was unable to help this time. Please tell my why.

Sincerely

Henry K.

When he finished his letter he put it in an envelope and wrote the address on and left it on his desk and left for work.
