Tears Of An Angel {Harry Styles}

She changed him. He helped her. Together, they are something nobody else can describe without using the two words, eight letters: true love.

I kneeled down to my pet yorkie, Lulu, smiling as I played with her. I was in form-fitting midnight black yoga pants and a graphic tank top, a beanie of top of my blonde waves which were pulled back into a low ponytail at the nape of my neck. The silence of me just being up alone with Lulu was interrupted by a knock on the door. I got to my feet, walking over to the door and opening it to the two boys who were at this same place exactly a week before. I offered a warm smile, showing off my tiny dimples. "Hey Harry. Hey Niall," I greeted. Harry's eyes instantly brightened up, showing a mix of nervousness and love as he smiled at me.

     "Where's Julia?" Niall questioned me.

"Upstairs practically sneezing her head off," I answered, soon followed by him jogging up the steps. Once Harry stepped in, I slowly shut the door and leaned against it, looking at him as my stomach churned. "So..." I said while trailing off ever so slightly, attempting to break the awkward silence that was growing rapidly between us.

"I came here to ask you a question," He stated, his eyes on me.

"And that is?" I asked, slowly becoming curious. He came over to me, taking both of my hands in his larger ones, encasing them.

"Would you please do the honor of being my girlfriend?" He asked softly and I couldn't control any part of my body as my muscles felt like jelly all of a sudden. I bit down on my bottom lip and asked him,

"Why me?" He tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear, looking deep into my eyes.

"No other girl has made me feel like you do, Rachel," He whispered to me.

"Really?" I asked, shocked. How could a nobody like me make the Harry Styles feel so special? He nodded with a small smile, answering,

"Yeah, really. No other girl made me get butterflies whenever I was near them, but you do. So, please give me a chance?" I bit my lip harder, my eyes falling to the floor.

"One chance turns into another and then soon, hundreds of chances will be given out and it won't mean a thing anymore," I spoke softly, restricting from letting my gaze lock with his. He let out a breath and tilted my head up with his two fingers, looking deep into my eyes.

"Why did I give you my paper airplane necklace, Rachel?" I licked my lower lip slightly and spoke quietly still.

   "Birthday present.."

"No, no. What did I say when I first came here?" He asked. I thought back to our conversation that day, thinking of the answer.

"N-Nothing..." I stuttered, trying to cover myself up. He leaned in to my ear and whispered, sending shivers down my spine,

"Tell me." I inhaled a deep amount of oxygen before explaining to him what was racing through my mind.

"You're just being nice to a fan...because that's all I am to you...a fan," I said, giving him his answer. He let out a soft chuckle and looked from my eyes to my lips, then back up to my eyes.

"If I were just being nice to a fan, would I have given you one of my special necklaces?" I bit down on my bottom lip hard, probably drawing up blood.

"But..." I tried to protest, but a slender index finger pressed onto my lips, making my vocal chords shut down.

"And why would I be in front of you right now?" He continued to explain with a smile, his deep dimples visible that were a little deeper than mine.

Then I realized what Harry was hinting at. What he had said. I spoke softly as I replied, "I'm more than just a fan..." He nodded, a smile on his luscious pink lips. I looked at him, confusion in my eyes, not knowing where he was going with all of this.

"That means you are special and one of a kind," He explained to me, "Which means that I will do anything not to lose you from my grasp because there is nobody else like you." My cheeks flushed up slightly with no able to be controlled and I let out a breath.

"Yes," I spoke to him softly, answering his primary question. A wide smile grew on his lips as he encased me in a hug, kissing the top of my head. Then, suddenly, I smelled smoke. "What's that?"

"I think while we were talking, Niall and Julia went into the kitchen.." Harry trailed off, looking down at me. I met his gaze and our eyes widened. I ran into the kitchen quickly to see a fire blazing from the stove top. "Niall! How did you manage to cause a fire while cooking soup?!" Harry yelled at him, but I could tell he was holding back a laugh by the look in his eyes.

"I don't know how I did it!" Niall said in defense, holding his open palms up to represent his innocence. I rolled my eyes and filled up a bowl with water, pouring it on the fire quickly, the flames disappearing, the only remain being smoke. I brushed stray locks of hair out of my face, sweating slightly from the heat as smoke flowed into the air. I turned off the smoke alarms and looked at Niall, my hands on my hips.

"Really?!" Harry let out a chuckle and wraps his arms around me, kissing my temple.

"You saved the world, love," He whispered in my ear, smiling.

"World? More like just this house," I replied, looking back at him. Niall and Julia stared at us with their mouths open. I looked at them and giggled. "Um...can I help you?"

"You guys are dating now?" Julia asked, followed by a sneeze into her arm while Niall rubbed her back, obviously not caring if he got sick or not. Harry nodded with a proud smile on his lips. I giggled and nodded as well, soon being turned around by his strength. I looked up at him, smiling.

"I have one more question," He said to me after a light chuckle. I cocked my head to the side ever so slightly, my eyes sparkling. He smiled and kissed the bridge of my nose, speaking once again, "Can you be ready to go to the beach at seven tonight?"

"Why?" I asked, my cheeks a light pink.

"Well," He replied, "I was hoping you would agree to go on a date with me tonight. So...do you agree?" I smiled and nodded. He smiled and leaned in, whispering in my ear, "It's a surprise." I rolled my eyes and leaned up to him, kissing his cheek gently.

I got dressed in a floral skirt with a baby blue ruffled blouse, a pink short sleeve cut off cardigan type attire over it. I had on some white wedges. a brown belt cinching in my waist. My blonde waves fell naturally over my shoulders and down my back as I waited, sitting on the steps. Waiting for my prince to come. I thought for a moment, dazed by all of this happening all so suddenly. It was just a concert. One concert that I was lucky enough to go to. It could of happened to anybody in the world, but this whole roller-coaster hit Julia and me. For some reason, though, I was grateful. My thoughts were knocked out of my head as I heard a knock on the door. I got up and looked at myself in a nearby mirror, smoothing out my dress. I walked over and opened the door to reveal a Harry Styles dressed in khakis with a nice plaid shirt, a red rose in his hands. A smile grew on his lips at the sight of me. "You look gorgeous, love," He commented, handing me the rose. I looked down at it twirling it with my fingers.

"You didn't have to get me a rose, Harry," I told him.

"But I wanted to," He shot back, wrapping his arm around my torso. I let out a small giggle and kept my eyes down. He whispered in my ear after letting out a sigh, "Stop doing that." I looked up at him with confusion in my eyes. "Stop looking down." I bit my lip and shook my head, looking back down, but my head was laying on his shoulder. He kissed the top of my head, smiling ever so slightly against my scalp. We walked outside and I got into the passenger's seat of his car after he opened the door for me. He jogged to his side, getting in to begin driving. I looked over at him and asked,

"What are we going to do?"

"What do you mean?" He replied, keeping his eyes locked on the road.

"I mean, like...are we just gonna hang out on the sand and stuff? Because that's all I can think of doing on a beach," I explained, watching as a small smile grew on his lips.

"Everything is already set up for us, love," He stated with a grin.

    "Set up?"

"You'll see." We arrived at the beach and I got out, a hand soon coming over my eyes. I giggled as his free hand grabbed onto mine, leading me.

"Is this really necessary?" I giggled. He just let out a chuckle and continued leading me as I could feel the sand sneaking their way into my wedges. Soon, we stopped and the hand was removed from my eyes revealing the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. In front of me was a tent set up on the sand with a beautiful view of the ocean, pillows scattered along a blanket with a picnic basket in the middle. I bit down on my lip and turned around to face Harry, my eyes bright. He offered a wide grin, opening his arms. I went into them, my tiny arms wrapping around his torso as I hugged him tightly, murmuring into his chest, "No guy has ever done this for me before..." He smiled and pulled back slightly, but kept me close to him. He locked gazes with me and whispered,

"Good. Because I want to be the only guy who does this for you." I smiled and kissed his cheek gently. He led me over and I sat down, kicking off my wedges, keeping my toes in the sand, smiling. I watched as he pulled out the food from the picnic basket, smiling. He looked up at me and smiled sheepishly. "Leftover Nando's. Niall's gonna kill me, but oh well." I giggled and spoke softly,

"I've never had Nando's..." He fake gasped, which made me laugh, my eyes crinkling up. He let out a chuckle and took out a plastic fork, stabbing a piece of chicken and looking at me.

"Open," He commanded softly. I smiled and opened my mouth. He fed me the piece of chicken, smiling. I began to chew, a smile growing on my lips.

"Now I understand Niall's obsession," I commented, making him laugh. He continued to feed me, making me giggle. I feed him a few times, and soon it just became like a game. Soon, we were done and he pulled me to him, draping his arm around my shoulders. The sun began to set, the unique light reflecting off of the ocean. I smiled and said in a dazed voice, "Beautiful..." Harry smiled down at me and commented,

"Just like you." I blushed and looked down, his lips pressing to my temple.

I stood on my porch, looking up at him. I tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear, smiling. "Thanks for tonight, Harry. It was amazing." He smiled and nodded.

"Anytime, love." I bit my lip and looked down, beginning to walk inside. "Wait," He called out. I turned around on my heels, looking up at him. He leaned down, giving me a soft peck on the lips. I blushed deep red and bit down on the corner of my lower lip, smiling wide.

"Goodnight, Harry," I spoke softly, walking inside with my eyes down, not being able to wipe the smile off of my lips as I secretly watched him get into his car and drive off, noticing a dazed look in his eyes as well.
