8. Chapter 8

*Luna*

We followed Loki, Tammy and I then Alice, Jane, Peter and finally Clint, who had gone back to get the mystery man. We stepped through the portal and all gazed stunned at the sight before us.

The palace was made entirely out of ice. It was think and white. The sun light played and danced on the surface making look like the ice was liquid and moving. Everything was just over two times as big as any of us and twice as beautiful.

Loki gave us a moment to get our bearings and then started walking. We followed, not paying attention to where we were going. At least I wasn't.

I looked around me and saw frost giants all around us. They bowed to Loki and snarled at the humans behind us.

Loki led us through the castle to a part that was normal sized. He must have had it made especially for him. Here only small frost giants, Asgargians and humans could live.

I marveled at the detail, but soon I as over the culture shock. It was indeed much warmer here, almost 68 degrees. Tammy and I could change back to human form if we so wished, but that would cause problems.

"This is the part of the palace you two will spend most of you time," Loki said aloud. "You may roam as you wish. The kitchens are at your disposal as are anything here." Loki was purposely ignoring the 'slaves' as they were not worth his notice.

"The slaves may not go anywhere with out their master's signed permission. They may go anywhere with their masters, of course, but if they do one thing out of place, they will be killed," he said, still talking to us.

"These are your rooms." He led us to two rooms next to each other. Tammy's was on the right, mine the left. I nodded my thanks to Loki, if rather stiffly.

"All frost giants are able to speak English, as the Middgardians learned it from them and the Asgardians. They are also able to speak any language that they listen to for more than three minutes straight. They can also read all the languages they can speak," he told us. At that he walked away.

I stepped into my room and gasped. I mean I actually gasped. As Jane and Peter walked in, so did they.

My room was huge, about the sizzle of all the rooms down stairs at my house put together without the walls. The walls were a blue ice with purple and white threaded through. The ceiling was high as to accommodate a large silver ice chandelier.

In contrast to all of the ice, there was a bed. The frame was made of clear ice, but the queen sized mattress was not. It was an actual mattress, as we're the sheets. The sheets were soft to the touch and a deep green that, as far as I could tell, was nowhere in Jotunheim. The blanket felt like velvet. The pillows were soft, but at the same time firm. They were in decorative cases with the same deep green, with the patterns made out of a lighter sea foam green.

There were bookshelves draped across two of the walls, all with books filling them. I walked over and notice that some of my favorite series were there. The shelves themselves looked like wood, probable cherry. Next to one of the bookshelves was a desk. It was plain made with the same wood. It was average sized. On it was parchment, actual lined paper, a fountain pen, a regular klick pen and a quill. There was also a large ink quell filled to the top with frost giant blue ink.

On the other wall, the one with the window, was a long couch and two love seats. Both were an emerald green.

We all started at this room for a long time. We hadn't even heard Tammy and Alice come in.

They too, gasped. "Your room is so much better than mine," Tammy said in awe.

I left my room to go look at Tammy's. she was right. Her room was half as big as mine with an average ceiling height. There was a queen sized bed, like mine, only blue. The walls were ice blue with white running through like veins. There were no book shelves, just a desk that was made out of ice as well. There were a few prices of parchment, a quill and a small quell of black ink.

It was quite simple compared to my room.

"Why did you get the better room," Tammy asked.

"Probably because Loki has a crush on her," Alice teased.

I barely paid them any attention, I had gotten use to their teasing a long time ago. I went back to my room. Once there I searched for a map.

"Is there a map in here," I silently asked Loki.

"Drawer on the left in the desk."

"Thanks."

I took out the map and quickly found the kitchen. I was still hungry.
