13. Chapter 13

*Luna*

"No one is going anywhere, even to change, until I've had statements from everyone," Fury said.

"You can't exactly keep us here," Jane said. "I have to go and meet with Erik, he'll be worried sick."

"No," Fury yelled. "There are statements form everyone I need back at base. So no funny business."

"Wait one second, you are not dragging my daughter to some remote base to get some statement," Alice's mom yelled.

"I must insist," Fury said.

"Can we do this later," Tammy asked. "I'm getting a headache."

"No, and don't try to do anything either, I asked for backup, heavy duty backup," Fury said.

At that moment Thor came into the room.

"I'm bringing you back," Loki said.

"Relax, he doesn't have anything against us," I said. "Though I may be wrong," I said as thought about how he'd react to finding out that Jane had been my slave in Jotunheim.

"Jane," Thor said in surprise. "Why are you here?"

"I'm Alice's aunt. I was... traveling with them this summer," Jane explained. Thor came over and hugged her.

"Where were you traveling? You have been missing off the face of the Earth for over a month," Fury said.

"Oh, for heaven's sake," started Tammy.

"This is getting annoying. We were in Jotunheim," Alice said, exasperated.

"Alice! We weren't suppose to tell them," I yelled.

"You never said that," she yelled back. Tammy slapped her upside the head.

"Ow," she complained.

"It was a bit obvious," Peter said.

"What do you mean you were in Jotunheim," Thor asked. "You should all be dead then."

"This is going to take all night," I said. To everyone who was on Jotunheim, I asked them not to mention the fact that I was Loki's betrothed using mind speech.

They were surprised and it took a lot of concentration to send the message to those who were human. They didn't say anything and left the explaining to me.

I started off with how we were surrounded and then went on to tell about how Jane, Clint, Alice and Peter had to become slaves in order to survive. Thor got angry at that and started to yell at me. I just went with it and kept quiet until he was done. Then I went on to describing the palace. Finally ending with how Loki had let us come back.

"Why did my brother let you come back? It was not out of the kindness of his heart, I believe," Thor said.

"I'm not your brother," Loki said.

"Most likely because Tammy and I annoyed him," I said.

"How," Thor asked.

"Well, Tammy's favorite hobby while we were there was yelling at Loki," I said and it was true, too. "I constantly talked to him and begged to come back."

"You could never annoy me," Loki said.

"Aaawww, thank you," I said.

"I doubt you wore him down. Loki is known for his patients, he most likely did it because he wants you to do something for him," Thor said.

Tammy and Clint gave a small little smile as they shared a look. "No, it's not. They're in love," Jane whispered to no one.

"What did you say," Fury asked at the same time as Thor.

"Nothing," she said a bit too quickly.

They let it go, which was odd, but I didn't dwell on it because something else came up.

"You dragged my daughter and sister to a frozen waste land and made them your slaves," yelled Alice's dad.

I looked down, guilty. Alice was defiant though. "They saved my life! Without them I would be dead," she yelled.

"Without them, you would have been surrounded by those men! Then you wouldn't have had to be a slave," he yelled.

"I'm sorry, but I tried to do everything to make sure they were comfortable," I said.

"YOU COULD HAVE FREED THEM!!"

"NO, SHE COULDN'T!!! THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD IN LESS THAN A DAY," Tammy screamed in my defense.

"I don't believe a word you say," Alice's mom said.

"Everyone calm down," yelled Fury.

I stepped into the middle of the room. "Calm down," I said, voice sounding like a bell.

Alice's parents instantly calmed down and shut up. "Oh, thank God. Luna, you are a life saver," Alice said. "Hey, do you think you could get them to forget that you guys are frost giants," she asked me.

"Yeah, maybe," I said. "Can I," I asked Loki silently.

"I can't see why not," he said.

"Forget what ever I have told you about Jotunheim and Tamyra and I being frost giants," I told them. "Now forget."

Alice's parents then shook their heads. "What were we saying," Alice's mom asked.

"That you needed to get home and that Alice could sleep over tonight," Tammy said not missing a beat.

"Oh, that's right," her dad said.

"Thanks Mom. I love you, see ya tomorrow," Alice said as she ushered them out the door.

"Can someone explain to me what exactly happened," Fury asked.

"Oh, my love just made some mortals forget somethings using her magic. What else would you like to know," Loki asked in a la-duh voice.

I fought so hard not to laugh, unfortunately I lost. I giggled aloud and clutched my stomach.

"And what exactly did I say that was so amusing," Fury asked me.

"Oh, just how you accidentally cut your eye when you were outside one day during winter. You never saw that icicle coming from above," Loki said.

I could breath any more, I was laughing so hard.

"Would you control yourself, young lady," yelled Fury.

"I don't-," Loki began.

"NO," I yelled aloud and with my mind. "Please don't say anything else," I begged Loki, aloud.

"Who are you talking to, young frost giant," Thor asked me.

I still couldn't breath, so I shook my head. Jane must have looked guilty because he asked her.

"I don't know," Jane told him.

Thor then turned to Alice. "Do you know," he asked.

There was a moment of silence as I finally caught my breath. I looked at Alice, as did Thor, who's look was extremely intimidating.

"I'm not sure but I think it's Loki," she whispered so that only Thor and Fury could hear.

"It might be wise to send your parents to bed," Loki said seriously.

"Mom, Dad, go to bed," I said, my voice a bell again.

"Alice, slap yourself upside the head," Tammy said. "I'm too mad right now." Tammy said this normally.

"Why," she asked.

"Because you just said that Luna can speak with Loki while they are on different planets," Clint said.

"And you just about told them about them," Peter told her.

"Who's side are you on," Alice asked him.

"It doesn't matter, it happened," I said. "Uhg, I need to think."

"Think about what," Fury asked.

I sighed. "Might as well tell you now," I started. "Thor was right when he said that we didn't come back because I annoyed Loki, we came back because Tammy wanted to go to her high school reunion and I wanted my high school diploma. So we devised a plan to hypnotize Loki though magic. I have to keep in touch with him or my spell will fade," I said lying through my teeth and hoping I could bluff my way out of this. I told them exactly what Loki had told me to.

Fury still looked skeptical, as did Thor. After a while they left it alone, sure I wasn't telling them the truth, or at least not all of it.

The others followed my lead and didn't say anything. A few minutes later I was in my room putting on my pajamas. I say on my bed. Soon I started to miss being in Jotunheim in my room, at home.

Loki talked me to sleep, making me feel closer to him than I had since I had left.

*Loki*

I talked to Luna until she fell asleep. I could tell she was missing Jotunheim. I comforted her as best I could.

I watched her sleep that night, as I had before she came to Jotunheim. The biggest difference now was that I knew I loved her and loved her more. I wanted her, no, needed her, to be safe. I did not trust Thor or Fury.

I thought back to when I had loved Thor dearly, and Odin. I soon could not take the anger when I remembered how I learned what I was. At least now I know why Thor had changed so much because of a woman. I had changed, too. I knew why Thor had given up trying to kill so much, I would do anything to please Luna.

Luna slept soundly and woke at about 2 am. She told me to go to sleep, she had somehow known that I hadn't that night. I slept and woke up to watch as Luna headed to a quiet spot in the town to think.

*Enchantress*

That b-tch! How can she have such a hold on Loki that he even lets her leave and watches her while she sleeps!?!? I have made sure that Loki has been okay for more than a year and in less than half a year Loki has fallen for her!

It like he's under some sort of spell! Wait, I realized at that point that Luna was great at magic. My Loki is under a spell! Or Tamyra threatened him.

I needed to get rid of Luna. The question was how, I mean those mercenaries didn't exactly survive. I decided to use the same group that I had used before. They called themselves Hydra. I got in contact with them and told them what they needed and who they were getting. They also needed to know the weaknesses of all frost giants.

They were prepared and struck the next night.
