A Spark in Revolution

You may of heard about the show Revolution on NBC, but what happened if it all came true? What if the world lost all for of electricity, and had to go back tot he way things we ran during the days before light bulbs? Where we had to fight against a brutal government, rebels, and a southern nation. Well, this would be my story during that time. My name would be different, but my friends, and lovers, would be a little different. I would be in the Appalachian Mountains, and hunt to save my friends, family, and lovers. My weapon of chose would be a bow and arrow. I would be on my own side, and I would be one of the few people to start a spark that turns into a revolution.

7. Chapter 6: A Party in the Medical Tent

It had been over three weeks since we came up with the plan, and I have been wanting to see Alex just one last time before we left. My 20th birthday was around the bin and I wanted to spend it with him. We had always celebrated our birthdays together, no matter what the conditions were at the time. On the night of my 20th birthday, I snuck out of my cottage with a basket full of food from DJ, Adri, Jason, and I. I made the famous bread that he loved so much, DJ made me a small Strawberry cake, Adri gathered some fruit from her garden for us, and Jason had made some goat cheese from his goat.

I was wearing a long black-lace sleeve shirt with a corset on, a pair of white skinny jeans, and my black combat boots. I also wore a dark crimson red riding hood to hide from the Troops. I reached the top of the hill and make it to the tent  when I heard some movement in a bush. I quietly pull out the hidden blade out of the hidden breast pocket of the corset  and held it with a death grip; I held it so tightly to the point where my hand was starting to get sweaty. I walked up as slowly and quietly as I could manage with out being spotted up to the bush and placed my hand on one of the branches. I looked around to see if any Troops were around ,but before I could pull it back to see what was inside the bush, Adeline popped out and made me fall back on my ass.

"Did I scare you, Ms. Clover?" she asked and giggled a little bit. I looked at her. This little girl has been almost everywhere I've been. I thought. I got into the crouch position, my ass still hurting a little, and placed my blade into the pocket . "You did indeed, little one. What are you doing out here this late?" I asked as calmly as I could without getting caught "I was chasing a chipmunk and saw you come up the hill. I wanted to see what you are doing." She pointed towards the basket.

I looked down at the basket and back up at her. Her skin was as pale as mine when there was a full moon out at night. My father used to make a joke about how I was a vampire from Twilight. "It's something special for me and my brother. It's nothing big sweetie, now go on and play but don't stay out to late now." I said. She gave me a hug, and she had the same grip I did when I hugged somebody: not to tight, but enough to let them know that everything is not okay. "Yes ma'am. I won't stay out to late, have a wonderful night." She let go of me and ran off into the brush.

With no doctor or assistant nurse around at this ungodly hour of night, I continued into the tent and saw my brother still wide awake and reading a book. "Hey," I said. Alex placed the book down and looked at me, then a smile crawled across his face. He looked a little bit like my mother, but had the attitude of my father. He had dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and high Indian cheek bones. Me and him looked nothing alike. He looked more like mom while I looked like dad.

"Hey Clove, what are you doing out so late?" he said. I sat down on his bed and placed the basket down on the nightstand. "Ha ha, real funny and I came to, oh I don't know, visit you on my 20th birthday!" I said. He busted out laughing, "I know that Clove, and I see that you have food with you," He gestured towards the basket of goodies. I smiled and gave him the 'Smart Ass" look. I sat down and pulled out all the goods. He dove into the bread and melted when he bit off a piece. I laughed at it, and for a good portion of the night we sat there and talked. We talked about memories before The Lights went out, the plan, and what will happen to us when the whole mess of me being a rebel leader was cleared up.

I sat up in a casual position and looked at him with a curious look; I was curious about this Evie girl down south. "Alex, what do you know about Evie?" He stopped in the middle of a apple and looked up with me. He had a look I had never seen, a very serious look, like it was a question I should not have brought up. At all. "Evie is 18 years old, pure-blood Irish, short and blonde. She's got an older brother named Jacob. They are the trouble makers of Little Rock.  Last time I saw her was when I deported down there and she was caught in a fight that she and her brother started. I had to end it though, and when that happened she said " Thanks cousin, see ya around. "People said that her nickname was 'The Little Fighting Irish Girl' and her brother's is "Deadpool"  "
