A Spark in Revolution

You may of heard about the show Revolution on NBC, but what happened if it all came true? What if the world lost all for of electricity, and had to go back tot he way things we ran during the days before light bulbs? Where we had to fight against a brutal government, rebels, and a southern nation. Well, this would be my story during that time. My name would be different, but my friends, and lovers, would be a little different. I would be in the Appalachian Mountains, and hunt to save my friends, family, and lovers. My weapon of chose would be a bow and arrow. I would be on my own side, and I would be one of the few people to start a spark that turns into a revolution.

6. Chapter 5: An Escape Plan

Michale just looked at me, "What?! Are you fucking crazy?! You could get killed!" I heard Nick  say. I tuned to him and looked at him with a cold look. "It's what Alex wanted, I don't care if I get killed." Michale moved towards me, and put his hand on my shoulder. "If that's the case, then go for it." "Thanks M&M but we need to come up with a plan to get out of her. The Commander will find out if we don't have one."

We all just stood there, trying to come up with a plan when Jason finally came up with one. "What is it?" I asked. He looked around and looked at me and Michale, "We need to talk about it at night, can meet up at your place Michale?" He just shrugged, "I don't care, just be careful around Adriana." Me and Jason nodded, "Well, see y'all tonight." I said. We all separated and I went back to the cottage to change. When I walked inside, it felt different. Instead of coming home to a brother, who had dinner ready, and a warm house, I came home to a cold house and no dinner ready, and no brother

I changed into a old Rolling Stones t-shirt and a pair of torn jeans, items that I had saved from when The Lights went out. I also put on my converse I had bought from a vender in the market, let my hair out of the braid and let it hang. I walked downstairs and grabbed a loaf of bread for Adriana. With her, if you come over you have to bring some food for her. I walked out of the cottage and saw the little girl from the Ceremony, leaning over the well.

"Adelina! What are you doing?!" I ran over to her, bread under the arm, and helped her down. "Oh, Hello Miss Clover, how are you this evening?" She asked. "I'm okay sweetie, but what were you doing leaning over the well?! You could of fallen in and died!" I asked her. She just smiled at me and said, "I just wanted to throw a coin down there and see if it landed heads first." I looked at her.

She was small and had ginger hair and a little black highlights along with brown eyes. She reminded me a lot of my parents. I gave her a pat on the shoulder, "You are a curious little thing," I said. "Thanks, I take after my older sister with it." She told me. I remembered at that moment that I was very curious when I was her age.

I just nodded my head, "I bet you do, now run along and don't get into any trouble, okay?" Adelina gave me a smile and a hug. "Okay Miss Clover." She let go of me and ran up the path. She looks a lot like mom and dad. I thought to myself, I remembered where I was heading and started running to Adriana's house.

                                        -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Adri, this is some awesome food." Jason said with his mouth full. I kicked him under the table. "Ow! What was that for?!" I shrugged, "I have no idea what you are talking about." He shut his mouth and gave me a look of "I-will-get-you-for-that". I just smiled at him, when Adri and Michale came in. "Sorry guys, had to help Adri with the food." Michale said. I laughed under my breath. Adri then hit me on the back of the head.

"What the fuck?!" I yelled out, Adri just smiled at me and set the rest of the food on the table. We ate for a long time. At around six or so, we started talking about the escape plan. "So what did you want to tell us Jason?" Michale asked. Jason placed his slice of bread on the table and laid the plan out. "Okay, my idea is that when the big market day comes around, we pack our stuff up and say that we are traveling down to Tennessee to sell some items to a buyer. One of those 'items' is Clover. That way when we hit the west part of Tennessee, she can cross the border."

I had a look of agreement on my face, and so did Michale. "Wait, how long is this gonna take?" Adri asked. "I have no clue, we will just have to go along with the plan."  Adi had a look of concern on her face, "Adri, what's wrong?" I asked. "I'm worried about the baby. What if we don't make it back in time and I have him or her on the way there?" Michale took a hold of her hand. "Adriana, this should not take long sweetheart. We will be back soon." I heard him say.

Adri looked up and smiled at "If you say so." She leaned in and gave Michale a kiss on the check. "Love birds," me and Jason said out loud. They both gave us a death look. "Enough of this, all in favor of Jason's idea say I" All of us said I, except for me. "Clove, what's wrong?" asked Adri. I snapped out of my silence, "Nothing!!!" What the hell, Frost? What was that for?!  I asked myself.

"Then it's settled we leave in a few weeks!" Jason said. We all laughed and toasted our drinks and ate that night. I also realized what the whole 'silence' thing was about: it was about Alex and finding my family.
