3. Chapter 2.

*Cassy's P.O.V.*

After a long and seemingly never-ending week of school, it was finally the weekend. I was extremely happy as I'd finally get time to just catch up on my sleep, and spend time with myself. I hadn't gotten much homework, and I didn't have any test or any assignment due Monday, so basically, I wasn't worried at all.

I excitedly woke up as I had nothing to do today, besides go watch Louis play football at a local football tournament. He'd been talking about it for weeks, and now that it was finally here, he was ecstatic.

I got out of my bed and went about my usual morning routine. Once I'd done that, I went downstairs for breakfast.

"Morning, mum. Morning, dad." I chirped, sitting down at the table. "Morning, honey." they said in unison. "You look very happy today, any special reason?" my dad asked, eyeing me suspiciously. "No reason, I'm just glad it's the weekend and I can relax." I smiled, trying to look a little less happy to throw my dad off the hook. "Good for you." he smiled faintly.

"So, what plans do you have for today?" my mum asked as she kept plates of bacon and pancakes on the table. "I'm going to go watch a football match with Julie and Mikky." I replied, filling my glass with some orange juice. "What time do you intend to be back home?" she inquired. "Before supper, I guess." I replied, hoping she'd let me go. "Alright, but don't be late." she said sternly. "Why? Something important today?" I asked curiously. "Oh, nothing too important. We're getting takeout for dinner tonight, so come home right away." she replied. "Okay," I mumbled.

The rest of the meal went by in silence. It was pretty awkward, and as soon as I was done, I ran upstairs and got ready for the game. I grabbed all my necessities for the day and swiftly made it out of my house after saying goodbye to my parents.

I walked in the direction of Julie's house just in case my parents were looking at me from the windows, and then sprinted in the direction of Louis' as soon as I was out of sight.

After a good 10 minutes of running, I reached his place. I rung the doorbell and leaned against the doorframe, gasping for air.

A few seconds later I was met by his blue mesmerizing eyes and his floppy and messy, yet sexy hair. I was still gasping for air when he said hello, so he just waited for me to catch my breath and just stood there smiling at me.

"Hi," I finally managed to say. "Come in, I'll get you some water." he smirked. "Aren't you a gentleman?" I nudged. "I try," he shrugged and walked me to the kitchen.

"You remember the boys, right? Harry, Liam, Niall and Zayn." Lou asked as he handed me a bottle of water from the fridge. "Hey there, Cass!" Niall said excitedly, followed by a chorus of hi's and hey's from the rest of the boys.  "How could I forget them?" I smirked as I opened the bottle and gulped down half of it.

"Where are Julie and Mikky? You told your parents you're going with them, right?" Lou asked. "They'll meet us at the game." I replied. "But, what if your parents call one of them?" he asked, looking slightly worried. "Don't worry, they've been trained by me to lie to my parents like I do." I smirked. "Why didn't you just tell your parents you were coming here?" Harry asked, confusedly. "Well, you see, they don't know that I talk to you guys. They think boys are a distraction." I replied while rolling my eyes. "Yet, you hang out with us without telling them and still manage to get straight A's." Lou grinned. "I'm pretty talented." I shrugged with a proud smirk. "Looks like we've got a badass here!" Zayn chuckled. "Being a badass is my only option. Otherwise I'd be stuck at home all day every day." I sighed. "I guess that's reason enough for me to allow it." Liam said with a smile. "Ah, Liam, always being the moral compass in our group as usual." Lou chuckled. "Anyway, how pumped are you for the game, Lou?" I ask, jumping up and down. "I think you're more pumped than I am, love." Lou says with a snicker.

*Louis' P.O.V.*

As soon as Cassy had entered my apartment, my heartbeat had sky-rocketed, but now that she asked me about the game. I think I feel.. Nervous? I mean, I feel all the pressure for sure. I don't want to screw up in front of her. Not that screwing up in front of her will make a difference but ugh, I don't know.

"Are you nervous?" I notice Niall and Zayn sending me winks, nods and other provocative gestures from behind Cass as I try to focus on answering her question before she looks behind her and sees them goofing around.

"I don't know, I feel kinda weird." I replied sheepishly. "Weird how?" she asks confusedly. "I can't explain it, it's just a weird feeling in my stomach." I confess. I probably shouldn't have said that, because what I'm feeling right now are butterflies, and now she knows. I'm such a fucking idiot.

"Will it help if I... Tickle you?!" she exclaims as she attacks me with her fingers and I immediately burst out laughing. I don't particularly enjoy being tickled, but I love this, and I love her. Wait. What? I don't love her. I must be crazy. I barely know her, I can't love her.

"Guys, it's time to get on the road. We don't want Lou to be late to a game he's going to be playing!" I hear Liam's voice amidst all the laughter.

Somehow Cass had managed to tackle me onto the ground and now she's on top of me. Well, this is totally not helping since I do have feelings for her.

I look into her eyes as her brown hair is surrounding us. She looks so goddamn beautiful right now with her hair obstructing most of the light and causing a dark-ish kind of glow, her deep brown eyes that you could stare at forever, and her contagious smile. It feels like it's just the two of us in our own little world and I never want to leave.

After what seems like forever, I hear all the boys yell in unison. Cass gets off of me and pulls me up on my feet.

"Thanks for the tickle." I say with a nervous smile. "Tickle monster at your service, Mr. Tommo." she says with a grin and leads me out of my apartment and into my Porsche.

As we reach our destination and get out of my car, she slowly walks up to me with a smile.

"Good luck out there, Lou. Figuratively break a leg!" she says as she engulfs me in a big bear hug. "Thanks, babe." I reply as she pulls away slightly and kisses my cheek while having her arms around my neck.

I swear I feel myself blush as she walks away, leaving me with a heated-up face. I fan myself with my hands as the boys pull over in their cars.

*Cassy's P.O.V.*

I quickly walk into the stadium and take a seat. I think about my encounter with Lou as I wait for Julie and Mikky.

I almost kissed him on the lips, wow. I just missed his lips by about an inch. I think I really like him, and I can't control myself sometimes, but that voice in the back of my head keeps saying that I barely know him. Which is true. But what's more scary than not knowing him, is the possibility of him having no feelings whatsoever for me. He seems like just the kind of guy I need right now, but I've been through enough heartbreak to know that one-sided feelings can be lethal. As hard as it's going to be, I'm not going to confess my feelings for him unless I get a clear hint from him.

"Hey, Cass!" I heard a voice snap me out of my thoughts. I turned around to see Julie and Mikky looking happy as ever as they sit down next to me.

"You look lost, are you okay?" Mikky asked, shoving a hot dog onto my lap. "Yeah, I just got lost in my thoughts, I guess." I mumbled before taking a bite out of the hot dog. "Thoughts of Louis?" Julie asked, wiggling her eyebrows. "I bet!" Mikky exclaimed and high-fived Julie. "No, guys, shut up." I mumbled again, focusing on the hot dog. "If you admit it, we swear to stop teasing you." Mikky said with the most sincere look. "But, I like teasing her." Julie said with a sad look on her face. "Can we talk about this later? The boys are here." I said as I see Harry, Niall, Liam and Zayn approach us.

After saying our hi's and hey's, I discreetly watched Niall and Julie talking to each other. They would be really cute together, just like Mikky and Jake - her amazing boyfriend - are. I wish getting into a relationship was that easy for me.

"What do you mean you don't love me anymore?" I asked as tears threatened to fall from my eyes. "I'm done. I just don't love you anymore, and I don't know if I ever did in the first place." he said as he was about to walk away from me, leaving me alone, just like he had countless times before.

"Don't you dare fucking leave me after saying that you never loved me. I love you, I gave you my heart, I broke down my walls for you. Did all that mean nothing to you?" I asked with tears streaming down my face. "It's all in the past. I'm over it now." he turned around and shrugged. "Did the past 6 months mean nothing to you?" I asked, wiping away my tears. "They were special, but, I'm ready to move on now." he replied. "What did I do wrong, Aaron? Please, talk to me. We can work this out." I reached for his arm. "Nothing. I don't want to talk, and there's nothing to work out." he said as he pulled his arm away.

"So, this is it, huh? You're leaving me just because you're scared of commitment? Was this all I was to you? Someone you can just 'get over' in seconds when you put your mind to it?" I questioned with all the strength I had left. "Look, I didn't want a serious relationship, I just-" "Saying 'I love you' doesn't count as serious now? You really are a piece of shit." I cut him off. "I don't even owe you an explanation. In fact, I was going to break up with you via text message. That would've been much better and drama free." he says and walks away, leaving me behind in tears on a park bench in the middle of the day.

~End of flashback~

The crowd chanting Louis' name snaps me out of my trance. Wow, how long was I zoned out for? I hope I didn't miss out on half of the game or something.

I watch as Louis effortlessly makes his way through his opponents and scores a goal. The crowd immediately begins to cheer and the boys jump out of their seats and start hooting.

As the game continues, I keep watching Louis as he plays. He's really talented, and he looks so happy while he plays. Watching him look this happy puts a slight smile on my face. I've never noticed how happy he is around me, but I hope I make almost as happy as he is now.

After the game is over - which Louis' team won - I say goodbye to Julie, Mikky and the boys and head to the parking lot. I walk over to Louis' Porsche and lean against the car's front bonnet as I wait for him.

Within a few minutes, I see Louis walking over to me and I instantly smile at him.

"Hey, champion." I say, pulling him in for a hug. "Hey, love." he say into my hair. "Congrats, Lou. You did really well out there. You've got some serious talent." I say, pulling away and looking at him. "Thanks, that means a lot." he says with a smile.

"So, do you have to be home now?" he asks, getting into the car. "Not for another few hours. I can tell my parents that I grabbed some dinner with Julie and Mikky before heading home." I replied, getting comfortable in the passenger seat. "Perfect. What do you want to do?" he asks as he starts his car. "How about we drive around for a while, listen to some good music, grab something to eat from a nearby drive-thru, and just talk?" I ask, nervously. I don't want to go home just yet. I really want to spend some more time with him tonight.

"That sounds amazing. Let's go." he replies with a big smile and drives away from the parking lot.
