Mighty Heroes: The Banished Guard

“Heroes are made by the paths they choose, not the powers they are graced with.”
-Brodi Ashton.

There is a Kingdom named Ellin. I live in this Kingdom, and trust me when I say, that you wont find a more peaceful and friendly place in the world. Or that's how it used to be. I watched my Kingdom fall after the disappearance of our Queen, and the blamed one was me.
The citizens of Ellin gave me two choices: Execution or become banished.
I chose to become a banished one, as I refuse to die for a crime I didn't commit. Or did I?

1. Prologue

There is a Kingdom.

It lies at the foot of the Almas Mountain, and through it runs the River of Ages. The Kingdom is called Ellin, and the citizens are happy and prosperous.
There are no poor, there are no rich. Everyone is equals and everyone knows it.
Their Queen is beautiful and loved by all; throughout her years of reign, she have managed to keep the land alive and peaceful, with no wars and no battles.

The trees stands tall and proud, with their healthy brown stems and their beautiful crowns. The flowers bloom with colorful petals and heavenly scents. The grass is the greenest you will ever see and the softest you will ever tread. The mild wind caresses your skin. The birds chatter joyfully, the wild horses graze calmly and the butterflies fills the air with the colors.

The girls are pretty, the women gorgeous, the boys are charming and the men handsome. The children run around, they are the embodiment of joy. The adults are working, they are the embodiment of responsibility. The elders are reminiscing, they are the embodiment of respect.

At the marketplace, loud and cheerful voices announces their latest sale on the freshest of meat, fruits and wines.

The Kingdom got everything and everyone.

This is the place I call home. Or at least used to.

I grew up in Ellin and have never left this beautiful place, the same goes for my parents, and their parents, and so on. My entire family have been born, raised and buried in this Kingdom, and have never seen what lies beyond the Fields of Gold. But this was not a strange thing; anyone leaving Ellin never seemed to return, some even claimed that the Fields of Gold was the end of the world, as the Fields reaches as far as the eye can see.

So you can imagine I was scared when I was forced to leave my Kingdom to save the Queen and return Harmony to our land.

But if I hadn't done it... who knows what would have happened?
