In Love With My Sister's Boyfriend (Liam Payne)

“Every great love starts with a great story...” Rebecca Peazer falls for her older sister's boyfriend, the Liam Payne. When they start to spend time together, Liam soon realizes that not only has he fallen for one Peazer but for two.

10. Hanging Out

Rebecca’s POV

The moment I opened my eyes, I felt myself smile instantly.

Last night was really amazing. Trevor is such a great guy and we got along well. He’s really silly, polite and just charming. We had so much fun after we left the restaurant. So many funny and embarrassing moments happened.

We do plan on going out again tomorrow night and I honestly can’t wait. I did except it as another date instead of it as ‘hanging out’; I mean I’m not sure what’s going to happen between, we could become just friends or more. Only time will tell.

Yes, I still really like Liam. But I need to face the facts and the truth is that we can’t friends or more. I know he doesn’t like me that way but still. I’m going to still give us a try at being secret friends though.

I should really thank Dani for last night - even if it was just for herself – I should still thank her.

I got up and decided to clean up my room; it’s sort of a mess at the moment.

I hook up my ipod to the speaker and put it on shuffle.

‘Closer To The Edge’ by 30 Seconds To Mars begins to play throughout my room.

It’s Saturday and usually my mom goes shopping with my aunt so I don’t need to worry about being too loud.

I begin picking up dirty clothes and throwing them into the hamper and sing and start to slightly jump up and down to the music. I organize my shoes from under my bed, fix my papers and books on my desk, and dust my shelves.

After a good forty minutes later, I finish cleaning. There, now my parents won’t get mad about that.

“What to do, what to do…” I look around and smile when I see my ‘special’ jeans folded on my computer chair.

You’re probably wondering what I mean by ‘special’ jeans. They’re my painting jeans. Whenever I paint, I wear those jeans; I’ve had them for a few years. Yup, they still fit. It doesn’t matter what shirt I wear, as long as it’s old and it won’t matter if I get paint on them.

That’s what I’ll do.

I change into my special jeans and wear a loose grey shirt that happens to be my dad’s. He’s had since I was little. He gave it to me because he knows it was of my favorites that he would wear. It always - and still does – has a soft feeling when you would hug him. He stopped wearing as I got older but still kept it. When he found out I liked painting and how I would ruin some of my nice shirts when painting, he told me to have his shirt.

Even though it’s stained with paint, I still love it.

I probably look like a homeless person but I honestly don’t care. I’m just going to go paint anyway.

I took my ipod, speaker, and phone with me as I made my way to the backyard. Yes, I paint outside, well sort of; I actually paint in the shed. My parents don’t allow me to paint outside, thinking I’m going to make a mess; sometimes they treat me like a child.

So the shed is considered as my small art studio I guess.

The sun is shining brighter today, giving the shed a lot of light for me to see. I pull out a canvas and put it on the paint stand. I don’t know what I’ll paint; I guess I’ll find out soon.

I play my ipod and ‘Save You Tonight’ by One Direction begins to play.

Of course I have them on my ipod, Danielle being the good girlfriend as she is, she made me and my parents buy the Up All Night album on itunes when it came out. Even if she hadn’t made up, I still would’ve bought it. Their music is quite good.

My favorite is ‘One Thing’ and ‘Same Mistakes’.

I begin humming to the tune at the beginning and sing Liam’s part.

Yes I know the words.

Then sings Harry’s part and hum the rest as I concentrate on my painting.

I don’t know how long I was painting for but when I finished, I was feeling a little sleepy.

I took a step back and admired my painting.

Boy did I use a lot a color in this one.

“It’s lovely,” a deep familiar voice says from behind me. I felt myself freeze in my place.

What was he doing here and how long has he been standing there watching me?

Oh my gosh and he sees how I look! I feel my face heat up from embarrassment.

I slowly turn around and shy smile at Liam who gives me a full smile. He’s standing by the door which I left open. I tend to leave it wide open so I can get air and breathe so it doesn’t get stuffy in the shed.

“W-what are you doing here?”

“I came by to ask if you wanted to hang out,” he says happily.

“Um, but why?”

“Do you not want?” He slightly frowns making me shake my head ‘no’.

“No, I don’t mean to be rude, I was just wondering why would you want to?”

“Why do you do that?” He says with a full frown showing now.

“Do what?” I ask with a frown as well.

“Why do seem to put yourself down? I mean why is it so hard to believe that I want to be friends with, to hang out with you? What’s wrong with me wanting to see you? If this has to with me being famous or something then you shouldn’t worry about it,” he tells me.

“I-I’m sorry…” I mumble and look down. I hear him sigh and slowly look up when he’s in front of me.

“Don’t be sorry, just don’t find it hard to believe that I like you,” he explains.

My felt my heart skip a beat when he said ‘I like you’. Sure I know he meant as a friend but he has know idea how much that meant to me.

“I, um, I m-mean as a friend of course,” he chuckles nervously.

I giggled and nod.

“So, do you want to hang out?”

“Sure,” I smile. “But let me change first,” I say.

“Why?” He questions.

“Um, because my clothes has old and new paint stains?” I tell him.

He shakes his head, “but you look comfortable and still beautiful,” he comments making me flush.

“Don’t lie to me Payne,” I playfully glare as I grab my stuff from the table.

“I’m not Payzer,” he grins.

I roll my eyes and making way out of the shed.

“I really do like your painting by the way, can I have it,” he says.

“Sure,” I shrug.

“What, really?”

“Yeah sure, I paint almost every weekend, they just stay in the shed anyways,” I explain.

“Oh, well then I would love to take it out of your hands and put it up in my living room,” he smiles.

I look at him and smile back, “thanks, that’s sweet.”

We both go up to my room and grab a clean pair of clothes, which are just a denim shorts and a light blue floral top. I excuse myself and go to the bathroom and change. When I come back, I see Liam lying on my bed, tossing my football up and catching it as it lands in his hands.

He tosses it in the air and turns to look at me and stares at me for a mini second but forgets that the football needs to be caught and lands on his face.

I muffled a laugh as he puts the football back on the floor and he groans. He rubs his face,

“Are you alright?” I chuckle. He playfully glares at but smiles and nods.

“Ready?” He asks as he stands up.

“Yup,” I nod and smile. “Where are we going to hang out?”

“My place?” He asks. I’ve never been to his place. I bite my lip and nod.

“Sure that’s fine, do I need anything?”

“We could watch movies if you want when get there? I don’t have much of a selection so maybe take few.  We’ll order pizza for dinner,” he says and I feel a bit happy that he wants me to stay until dinner time.

“Got it boss,” I salute to him making him laugh.

I grab my bag and we pick a few movies and leave my house.

When we got there, I followed him out of his car into the apartment complex and we went the elevator.

I let Liam lead the way until we stopped at his door and followed him inside. Inside was amazing, really big but it somehow seemed a little empty. A few stuff to put here and there, then for sure it’ll be perfect.

“Let’s pop in a movie! I’ll make us some popcorn,” he says with a big smile.

I giggle, “Someone is excited,” I wink playfully.

“Oh you know it babe,” he winks back and I laugh.

“What movie?” I call as I kneel down in front of the DVD player with my movies in my hands.

“Uh, it doesn’t matter I guess… No wait! No girly romance please,” he laughs.

“Fine,” I pout to myself. “Um, what about I Am Legend?”

“Oh my gosh that movie is so good and sad!” He gushes as he sits on the couch.

“So is that a yes?”

“Yeah sure,” I nod and pop it in and sit beside Liam. We’re not side by side but close enough.

“If you cry, just let me know and I’ll comfort you,” Liam whispers to me as the movie starts. I bite my bottom lip and look at him. We look deep into each other’s and I see something in his. Happiness? No. Relief? No, no, no, it’s like, love?

HA! Yeah right, why would there be love in his eyes showing? It’s not like he loves me in that way. No one would love me anyway.

He breaks our stare when we both hear the beeping sound of the microwave. He gets up and leaves me alone for a few minutes.

“Press play,” Liam says, having the huge bowl of popcorn in his hands. I nod and press play.

He looks at me and gives me ‘yes?’ face for me to continue.

“If you cry, just let me know and I’ll comfort you,” I say. He chuckles but nods.

I smile as he gets closer to me and begin eating popcorn.

“I’m really glad you’re here with me right now,” Liam says half way throughout the movie, surprising me.

I look up at him and smile gratefully.

“I wouldn’t be anywhere else,” I say truthfully.

He smiled, that beautiful smile that I love so much. He put the empty popcorn bowl on the floor and pulled me close until he had his arm wrapped around me waist.

I don’t know what is going on but I’m not going to question it. I lay my head on his shoulder as we continued to watch the rest of the movie together.
