6. The Healings of a Broken Heart: 05

Odd's POV:

I had no idea why I was with Sissi. I mean, I liked her and all, but not in the girlfriend type of way. But, then again, I felt that way with all girls, girlfriends and classmates. And no, I wasn't gay, I just...hadn't met that special girl - yet!

At first, Sissi really seemed to like me, but after that...sigh I just don't know. The first few days, she treated me well; she listened to my thoughts and let me speak freely, she let me do what I felt like and she was an overall sweet little girl. But, after a couple of days, I noticed her behavior changing. She started getting meaner and ruder - so I just figured it was that time of the month - but that was far from it.

She started making me do things then, she made me get things for her. She even spent all my money on stupid and unnecessary things that let alone her, no girl in the world needed! Saphire was right when she said that Sissi treated me more like a slave than her boyfriend.

Ah, Saphire, she was so...complex. So different. So perfect in her own complicated way. She was so strange - in a good way, of course! The way she talked, the way she acted, the way she held herself up, it was like nothing I've ever seen any other girl do before.

Every where I went, girls were always trying their best to impress me. They were always dressing weird, saying things, and putting themselves out there to get to me. But, what they didn't realize was all I wanted was a simple, down to earth girl.

And neither Sissi nor Saphire were that. Sissi was a bitch, I admit it. And Saphire? She was the total opposite of a simple girl. She wasn't mean the way Sissi was or the way she pretended to be. She may have acted tough and cruel, but she was anything but that. She liked me - as a friend, of course and she wanted to help me. I could see it in the way she said, "Good luck" to me before she left me alone with Sissi.

It was from that that I realized just what type of girl Sissi was and why Saphire wanted me to stay away from her. But, when she asked me in that sweet and kind, and not at all desperately like the little fan girls back home, I just couldn't refuse.

Did I enjoy it being with Sissi? No, not at all. Sure, in the first few days, it was fun. It was friendly, but that was it, there was nothing special about being friends with Sissi. She was pretty, sure, but she was just like all pretty girls - always wanting what they can't have and then when they got it, they didn't want it anymore.

Saphire was a girl, I could tell, that didn't get too many happy moments and I felt like she deserved it the most. And if given the chance, I wanted to be the one to give her those moments, but I knew that that wasn't gonna happen.

Was I attracted to Saphire? Duh! I mean, anyone could tell that I was and I knew for a fact that Sissi had her doubts, but she was certain that I wasn't interested in her and was always clinging on to me whenever she spotted Saphire.

Even though I had no idea what Saphire looked like due to all that hair in her face, I knew she must've been really beautiful or else why would she hide like that? She probably had some big demons in her past to make her be all depressed like that.

I wanted to figure out just what kind of person she was before and what she was like now. And since I wasn't one to give up, I finally did. But, it was nothing like I ever thought it could be like and now, now I'm sorry I ever came into her life in the first place.

A/N: So, um, you might have noticed that all the chs. are in the past tense, well that's because the two of them are telling the story to someone. They're not telling the story to the same people, of course, and since there's always two sides, two perspectives to every story, it makes it more interesting.

You also might have noticed that I often leave a bit of suspense in every ch. talking about how Odd actually made it into Saphire's life, but he didn't expect things to be so bad and that he didn't mean to change up her life know. Well, it's a lot more than you think and I'm sure you're gonna love it. So, till then, keep reading and enjoying and yeah. =D
