I don't want to be yours. I don't want to be anybodies. I want to be me. I want to be Boston. I want to forget about the past and live my life. I want to be noticed but unnoticed by you. Leave me alone, Liam, because this time we really will kill each other. Don't try and find me, because I don't want my memories to haunt me like they happened yesterday. Like Hollywood says, two celebrities never make it out alive. And we are the perfect example.

Italy. The country where love is created and wine is tasted. Usually it would be France, but I've had my time in France and it was anything but love-filled.

The tour has resumed and One Direction is continuing in Florence. Liam and I are nothing but close friends, that's all we give the media. We only kiss, hug, make love, and hold hands behind closed doors and usually guarded by security.

Liam says it's close enough to a normal relationship, but he's never been in a normal relationship. We shouldn't have to hide who we are--what we are to the world. They already presume, but Liam is scared.

Which makes me scared.

He doesn't want me touched my the press and in reality this is probably the only thing my dad and him would agree on. Oh yeah, daddy has entered the picture. Before I could even leave England I was forced to call him.

He was upset I haven't contacted him in months, but doesn't the phone line go both ways? His excuse was that he was too busy to be able to call anyone. Bullshit. I told him I was going back to South Africa, but I already called mom and she was excited for me that I got to travel the world.

I could tantalize my brother anyways.

"Hey Eric," I smiled at him as I walked closer to the hotel door. "Are you our look out?"

He rolled his eyes, "I'm your security for Italy."

"Good, at least I can trust some of the security." I turned the knob and entered the room.

Liam was getting ready for tonight's show and I flipped through a magazine as he got his hair styled.

"Tomorrow you and I are going somewhere," I heard him say.

I looked up from the magazine, "What?"

"I have something planned for us tomorrow. Before we leave Italy."

I smiled, "Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," he stood up from his chair and closer to me. Before he reached me he picked up his leather jacket. "I love you."

"I love you too," then he brought his lips down on mine and then vanished. For the same lips would be singing songs.

"Where are we going?" I giggled as my eyes were covered by a blindfold. He still hasn't told me what our plans were.

I just know that I'm in a car, waiting for the arrival of something.

"We're here," I hear him mutter against my ear.

I heard him open the door and then his hand skimming down my arm and touching my hand. I pulled myself across the leather back seating and found my footing on soft floor. I slightly bit down on my bottom lip as I caught my balance.

I felt his hands go across my collarbone, his touch like electricity going through my coat. Then him untying the blindfold.

"Welcome to the closest South Africa I can give you," he said as he let the blindfold fall.

I inhaled as I saw the grassy meadow, some of it filled with tall grass. It did remind me of home. Where my mother was, where the elephants were. It's been a couple months since I last saw them all. I didn't even realize.

"If it was only warmer," I smiled up at him.

He smiled back mischievously. "I can make your body heat start on fire."

I rolled my eyes, "What are we doing here?"

"Picnic," he said. "This is only the beginning of surprises."

"There's more?" I almost whine. "What are you up too?"

"Nothing," he bent down and placed his lips to my forehead. "For now. Come on, before the whine freezes."

Liam and I followed a path, our hands interlocked. I was expecting a large blanket in the middle of the field but of course I forgot this was Liam. He never does anything simply.

And I was right.

I saw a warm glow in the distance and narrowed my eyes. "What is that?"

"Huh?" He started. "I'm not sure, should we check it out?"

"You're up to something."

"I promise," he smiles causing me to roll my eyes. I let go of his hand and started to run towards the glow, I glanced behind me to see him chasing me.

Once I reached the glow, I found myself looking at a pagoda. I opened the fabric doors and found it illuminated by red candles. In the center of the circle of pagoda was the blanket, set wine and different kinds of fruit.

"You must've found my surprise," said Liam as he came inside.

"It's gorgeous."

"Good," I felt his breathe against my neck. "It's gorgeous just like you."

His lips created paths up and down my neck, and I moved my head to the side to let him gain more access. He felt so good, and I wanted nothing more than to have him suckle my skin.
