Niall Horan is the most popular boy in Westfield High School. When the new girl, Macie McCoy, arrives, Niall's view on girls completely changes. Will Macie let him into his life? Or will she just shun him out like every other guy that tried hooking up with her? This may seem like the cliché bad boy story, but let me tell you. It's not.

6. Chapter 6

Macie's POV

I woke up by the sun shining through the crack in the curtains. I stretched my arms out letting a small moan escape. I look over at my phone to see the time, 12pm. OMG, 12!? I must have been really tired.

I went downstairs to see my mom cooking over the stove, "it's about time you woke up. morning, Mace." "Morning." She turned from the stove with a pan of eggs in her hand, "eggs?" "Yes please," I respond, rubbing my eyes as I yawn. "Excited for the party tonight?" she asked smiling, scraping some eggs onto a plate for me. "Yeah," I mumble, smiling. She smiles as she hands me my plate, setting down the ketchup bottle as well. Yes I put ketchup on my eggs, judge me. I poke some eggs with my fork, eating every single one. "Mmmm, thanks, mom." "No problem, hun." "I think I'm just going to spend the day reading. Ya know, be the typical nerd I am," I giggled. "And think about Niall," she chimed in. "Who's Niaaaaall?" my brother teased, walking in the kitchen. "No one," I hissed, rolling my eyes. "Just a boooy," my mom sing-song's. Max stands next to me making kissie faces as I become annoyed, my mom laughing the whole time. "You guys are lame," I stated, sitting up from my chair. "Says the girl who's going to practically read all day." "Shut up!" I yelled sarcastically, heading up the stairs. I grab my book, The Fault in Our Stars, from my desk and plop onto my bean bag chair near my window, utilizing the natural light. I flipped to my current page and began to read.

It was about 6pm now and the nerves kicked in for tonight. l was really excited for tonight, but nervous at the same time. Something about Niall made me feel like there was a magical world inside me with unicorns...that ate rainbows and pooped butterflies. HAHA, wow I'm so joking, I make myself laugh. But, in all seriousness, Niall gives me a good feeling.

I walk over to my new, large, walk-in closest filled with my clothes. I didn't want to be too fancy, but didn't want to be too casual either. I picked out my favorite summer dress. It was a floor-length dress that was an off-white, almost a cream color, with a floral print, it had like a vintage feel. I slipped on my strappy sandals and walked over to my bathroom to do my hair and makeup. I heated up my curling iron while I applied my makeup. I didn't need much. All I ever wore was mascara, foundation, powder, blush and lip gloss. I picked up my curling iron and began to make large beach waves.

I walked over to the mirror that hung on my wall, examining the finished look. I guess I was kind of fancy, but whatever, dress to impress, right? I looked at myself one more time. Something was missing. Hmmmm. Ahh, yes. My ring. It was a thin, silver band with the letter 'M' on it. My grandmother had given it to me just before she passed away, I cherished it.

I walk downstairs and wait for Niall. My dad is sitting on the couch watching tv. "Hi, daddy," I greeted. He looked at me in awe, "and where are you going looking like that?" Ugh why did he have to be such a father. He should be glad I don't look like a hooker. My mom walks in, "I think she looks just lovely." "Thanks, mom," I cooed. "But really, where are you going?" "She has a date," my mom cuts in. I began to blush when there was a sudden knock at the front door. "Daddy, no. I'll get it."

Niall's POV

I walk up to Macie's door and form my hand in a fist to knock on the door. I brushed my knuckles on the wooden door, my head facing the ground. I suddenly hear the lock turn. My face shoots up to see a beautiful girl standing in front of me. She's breathtaking. "Hi," she cooed, smiling. "H-h-hi," I managed to say. She giggled, "come in." I stepped into her welcoming home. I see her mother and father standing next to each other. "You must be Niall," her mom says, walking over to me reaching out her hand. I reach my hand out and shake hers. "Yes, I am." 'Ohh, I heard so many wonderful things about you." "Mooom," Macie whined. "And sorry about last night with you two," she added. "What happened last night?" her dad questioned. "Ugh, nothing, dad," she sighed. He nodded his head, trusting his daughter. A boy walked in the living room, he must be her little brother. "Hey, Mace. Is this the boy you were drooling over this morning?" "Max," she hissed at him. "Niall, lets go," she said in a rush. "Bye, honey! Have fun you two!" "Bye, guys!" Macie closed the door, fixing the strap of her purse on her shoulder. "Sorry about that," she mumbled, embarrassed. I laugh, "it's fine. Ready?" She nods her head as she follows me to my car. I open the passenger door to let her in. "Why thank you kind sir," she jokes. "You're welcome lovely lady," I responded as she giggled. I walked to the other side of the car and hopped in. "Where are we going?" she asked sweetly. "You'll see," and I drove off.
