Niall Horan is the most popular boy in Westfield High School. When the new girl, Macie McCoy, arrives, Niall's view on girls completely changes. Will Macie let him into his life? Or will she just shun him out like every other guy that tried hooking up with her? This may seem like the cliché bad boy story, but let me tell you. It's not.

4. Chapter 4

Niall's POV

I can't believe Macie actually came. She was so pretty. Her dirty blonde hair
just fell so effortlessly down her back. She had the prettiest eyes I have ever
seen. She's much shorter than me considering that I'm about 5'9". But I thought
her height was adorable. "Uhm, so where are we going?" Macie squeaked. I snapped
out of my little world from thinking about her. The words of our destination
didn't seem to slip out of my mouth, as her eyes just looked into mine. "Niall?"
she giggled. Her giggle is so cute. "Sorry," I flashed a quick smile, "just
follow me." We walked out of school the back way, which led directly to a small
park not too far. It was such a nice day out, not too hot not too cold. Perfect.

We finally arrived to our destination. "Well, we're here." She looked up at me
and then to the quaint park. "Aw, it's adorable. How did you find this place?"
My mind picked at all the memories for the real reason, but I fibbed, "just came
across it one day." She smiled, "want to go on the swings?" I nodded my head yes
as she grabbed my wrist guiding us to the two swings. Being with Macie made me
feel like my real self again. But it's strange due to the fact I practically
known her for a day. No other girl made me feel like this. Feel like I've
learned to love again, the proper way.

Macie's POV

I liked Niall. He seemed really nice from what I gathered of him so far. And
he's a looker. With those crystal blue eyes, perfect smile, adorable laugh and
that slight Irish accent I noticed, of course it was easy to like him. I pulled
him along to the swings as I ran over to one, claiming it. Him getting the
remaining swing. My fingers wrapped around the metal chain as I began to pump my
legs, swinging as the wind flowed through my hair. "So tell me, Macie. What
brought you to Westfield?" Niall questioned. I started off into the distance,
"my dad's job moves a lot. This is like the third time my family and I moved
this year." Niall didn't really know what to say, I don't blame him, I wouldn't
either. We swung in silence until Niall's shaky voice broke the silence. "So
have you heard about a party this weekend?" I turned my head towards him,
"Niall, I'm the new girl. Do you think I know about parties?" I chuckled, him as
well. "Well ya never know! Would you possibly like to go with me?" His cheeks
turned a light pink from his question. "Are you asking me to be your date,
Horan?" I teased. He shook his head playfully, "not if you don't want to." "No,
I'll go with you." His face instantly lit up like a kids on Christmas morning.
We smiled at each other. We sat on the swing for about another hour and just
talked, asking each other questions. "Oh, shit! What time is it!?" Niall quickly
looked at the silver watch upon his wrist, "about 6," he answered. "I have to be
home by 7 for dinner! I gotta go, Niall. I'll see you at the party." I sat up
from the swing and started to make my way home, I didn't really know where I was
going, but I'll find my way. "Wait," I heard Niall say.

Niall's POV

"Wait," I spoke. Macie turned around. "What?" My lips formed a nervous smile,
"I'll walk you home." She stood there and smiled, her smile is beautiful.

We've been walking for about 20 minutes, just talking some more. Macie seemed
like a really cool girl. Different from the rest of the ones I talked with. My
"manwhore" reputation would be ruined with Macie. But I could care less.
Everyone knows me as the boy who doesn't go to school much, drinks a lot, sleeps
with every girl, you get the idea. But Macie. Macie lets me be my real self. I
don't have the urge to just "do her and run". I want her for who she
truly is. Cherish her and all the imperfections she thinks she has. Just love her.

We walked a few more steps as a rousing feeling to hold her hand crept in my
body. Macie was just talking, laughing to herself about the story she was
explaining. I smiled, admiring her. Before I could stop my self, my fingers
filled the gaps between hers. Her head shot up, her remaining hand tucking some
hair behind her ear. My eyes widened to the fact that I just did that. I try to
quickly pull my hand away, but it was stopped. Macie intertwined her fingers
back with mine. I looked down to see her smiling face. "It's okay," she spoke
softly. I gave her a warm smile, her doing the same.

We continued the walk to her house, still holding hands. It felt so right
holding her hand. It felt so right being with her. The idea of me and her,
together, just felt so...perfect.
