I Won't Give Up *IN EDITING*

Falling for your best friend is always tough, but Emily always imagined it to be as perfect as relationships come. Holding hands, long walks on the beach, endless kissing. What she couldn't imagine was her relationship to contain fights, tears and heartbreak.

Will fate allow young Emily Downs to be in the perfect relationship she's always wanted, or take her down a dark twisted road full of cheating, hatred, lies and run aways.

Only time will tell for these two lovebirds.

30. The last chapter.

I remained frozen. Not being able to move. How could I have done this? I'm not going to lie and say it was a mistake, it's quite evident, I realise what I had done was wrong.

Ashton snapped me out of my thoughts by placing his right hand on my leg. I slightly tilted my head up to reveal Ashton crying. I hung my head again and cried into my hands. What have i done?
"Ash..." I sobbed.
"Mmm?"He questioned. He sounds so heartbroken. I cant belive I did this to him. I made him like this.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, wiping away one of many tears rolling down my cheeks.
"I just want to know why Emily? Why you would have to cheat on me after everything weve been through." He softly spoke.

It's now or never Emily. You have to tell him. He deserves to know. I took a deep breath before speaking.

"I guess somehting just trigered inside my head ever since I got assigned with him for english, the way he treated me, the things we spoke about. We did it nearly every time I went over his to 'study'. We obviously didn't mean for it to happen every time, but it did. I know this sounds harsh but I enjoyed it. And I know we planned we were going to loose ours together, and I'm sorry." I breathed, as I felt a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders. I know what I just confessed will ruin our relationship, and I don't want that to happen, although he wont ever forgive me after this.
"Wait... It was Alex?!" He ased shocked.
"Um yeah." I whispered.
"I cannot belive you Emily!" He screamed.

Noones pov:

Emily was taken aback by his sudden change of voice. She started crying again as Ashton kept yelling things at her. She couldn't take it anymore. She took a deep breath before pushing herself off the king size bed and grabbing her bag and began throwing her belongings inside. Ash didn't do anything to stop her. In fact, because of how angry he was, he encouraged her to leave.
She stormed out of their room, or now just Ashton's, and out of the house she once called home. As she stood at the end of the driveway, she turned around and looked up at Ashton's window, where he sat.
"Dont go." He whispered, but of course she didnt hear him. She turned around and began walking down the hill, and soon disappearing out of Ashton's sight.
As she walked away from her one true love, she was confused.
About life.
About him.
About wher she would go, what she would do.
She started to cry as the feeling of regret filled her entire body. If she could just go back and start over, she would. But we all know thats not possible.
And as for Ashton, he watched aimlessly as his soulmate walked out of his life. He also had the feeling of regret.
Regretting that he ever yelled at her.
Regretting that he let himself get so worked up over something so piterful when you look back at it all now.
And expecially as he watched and encouraged Emily to leave. He wishes that she would come back, and he could just hold her and tell her everything's going to be alright. But after some hours of sitting on that hard wooden chair, staring at that same hill Emily disappeared down, he knew that she would never come back.
He knew he had made the biggest mistake of his life. All those long months spent together, all those 'I love you's'. Mean nothing now. Their love was like a flower.
With each day they spent together, their love grew stronger. It was healthy. It was sweet. But then it began dying. I mean doesn't everything eventually die? And now, today, the flower has wilted.
Their are no more sleepovers, dinner dates or neck kissed. No more holding hands, movie maratbhons or even just waking up next to each other every morning.
You see, their love was like a flower, but now the flower has died.
And as Ash was falling asleep that night, flashbacks of the two together played in his head like a movie.
Every little detail.
He didnt know how he could live without her. She was his everything. He needed her.
It was too late though. But that didnt stop Ashton thinking otherwise. He was determined to get her back. And on that note, he closed his tired eyes and breathed in heavily before whispering
"I wont give up."
