I Won't Give Up *IN EDITING*

Falling for your best friend is always tough, but Emily always imagined it to be as perfect as relationships come. Holding hands, long walks on the beach, endless kissing. What she couldn't imagine was her relationship to contain fights, tears and heartbreak.

Will fate allow young Emily Downs to be in the perfect relationship she's always wanted, or take her down a dark twisted road full of cheating, hatred, lies and run aways.

Only time will tell for these two lovebirds.

9. Chapter IX

“Well, I” He paused, correcting his voice, “I was asking her for a bottle of vodka. The others wanted it. And well, were all not eighteen yet so.” He smiled, pulling out, as he said, a bottle of vodka from underneath his jacket.

“Hmm.” I hummed, opening the dressing room door and instantly screaming, “Vodka’s here. Now it’s a real party!” and all the boys cheered.

I walked over and sat on Ashton’s lap, nuzzling my head on his chest. He wrapped his long arms around my body, pulling me close.

“Guys, this is Maddie. Maddie, this is the guys.” Luke introduced, closing the door before he sat on the floor, where Maddie joined him.

“Hey guys.” She stuttered, and they all said “Hey Maddie.” Back in unison.

“The concert was amazing, by the way!” She laughed, causing a sea of thank-you’s to be spoken back. “And the kiss Ashton, amazing!” She screeched, clapping her hands together. I buried my face further into Ashton’s chest. “All on record.” She smiles, waving her phone in the air.

The entire room erupts into a fit of laughter, and soon Michael’s up and opening the bottle of alcohol, pouring a generous amount in 6 glasses. Grabbing some cans of coke, he pours the fizzy drink on top, handing out each glass one by one.

“So who’s ready for truth or dare?” He smirks, sitting down in between Calum and Maddie on the floor, taking a sip from his drink.

“Ashton, truth or dare?”

The next few hours consisted of many laughs, screams and spilled secrets between the group of 6.

There were kisses, nude runs and slurred words as the alcohol began kicking in.

I called a cab as we were ready to go home, none of us able to drive. Although alcohol didn’t affect me as much, I still had a lot in my system and wasn’t going to risk losing any points on my licence.

When we arrived home, I assisted the extremely nice cab driver in helping the drunk teens into the house. I thanked him and handed him a generous tip.

He smiled and waved as he left.

Grabbing a dozen blankets and pillows from around the house, I placed them on the floor, watching as the five drunk teens dove onto them, searching for, presumably, the comfiest one.

“Alright, alright.” I called, each giving one person two blankets and two pillows, deciding that would be the best way to go.

Luke and Maddie ended up curled under the one blanket, refusing to sleep apart. Next to them were Calum and Michael who only lay inches apart, laughing and mumbling things to each other, only they could hear.

I ran my fingers through my now unbraided hair and sighed, locking the front door and plonking myself next to the already passed out Ashton. His hair was ruffled and his chest rose up and down steadily, his lips parting as he exhaled.

He moaned and rolled over, wrapping his long arm around my waist before pulling me into him. I nuzzled my head on his chest, and he moaned again.

Ashton moaning was very sexy.

As I lay there, trying to drown out the heavy sounds of snoring across the room, I re envision the previous events that had happened tonight.

A smile crept on my lips, but it fell just as quickly, instantly becoming confused as ever as to what this meant for Ashton and I.

About 10 minutes later, my eyelids fell closed, and my breathing slowed, deciding I could worry about this tomorrow. Right now I was in his arms, and I couldn’t be happier.
