4. Chapter IV

“Dude you actually did a pretty good job.” Calum expressed.

Hmm. Why must those boys talk so loud! Although I am now awake, no thanks to the volume of chatter and laughter thrown around the car, I decide on leaving my eyes closed, hoping to catch a bit more sleep before we arrive.

I think someone might be playing with my hair. I would be stupid to wake up now, it feels amazing.

“Oh my god so that’s who you like!” Calum practically screamed, and my heart just sunk. I knew it. Obviously it wasn’t me.

“Well…” Ashton mumbled, and Calum began clapping. REALLY LOUD

I stirred and nuzzled into Ashton more, a small moan coming from my lips and remarkably my plan worked, Calum new he didn’t want to wake me up so he remained quiet.

Maybe I can get some peace and quiet now.

I felt a small tap on my shoulder and my eyes fluttered open, and I took in the surroundings, and suddenly it hit me. We were here.

Around a hundred or so girls were gathered around our car and were peeking through the windows, which made me only bury my face deeper into Ashtons shirt.

I don’t want to walk through all of them.

“Wakey wakey sleepy head.” I heard as someone poked me in the side, causing me to practically jump up and land on Calum.

“MICHAEL” I screamed, leaning forward and poking him numerously in the arm and chest. He just laughed which only caused me to poke him harder.

“Out we go!” Luke called, opening the door to his side and climbed out, and soon enough the screams erupted and filled the car. I could never understand girls who scream and freak out band members. It doesn’t make any sense

I leaned into the front section of the car and took a quick glance in the mirror and – oh my god.

My hair was in a nice braid and my face must have had BB cream on because instantly I looked like a normal person instead of a drug dealer.

“You like?” Ashton smiled, and I crawled around and gave him the biggest hug. I hear Calum cough behind me and he and Michael pulled their doors open and left, so it was just me and Ashton left.

I suddenly jumped as something hit the window from outside. It was a stuffed teddy bear. I giggled to myself before burying my head in my hands. I could see through my fingers the boys waving and smiling to the girls as they headed through the gates and towards a large black door at the top of the driveway.

“You ready?” Ashton asked, grabbing ahold of my hand.

“Ready as I’ll ever be” I smiled, and we climbed out of the car and suddenly girls of all ages starting crowding us. I stood in front of my best friend as we began walking up the concreted walkway, his hands making their way to my waist so I didn’t get dragged away from him.

Girls were calling things out like

"Ash! Is this your girlfriend? She's beautiful!"

"Who is she! She's flawless!"

"She's way too beautiful than me!"

"You two are adorable! Cutest couple ever!"

And it actually made me smile a bit, not that I would let Ashton know that. As we kept walking, I heard someone call out

"Who's that ugly chick! She's so disgusting! She can just go die in a hole!"

and then it hit me.

They were jealous.

This is what I was afraid of.

I stiffened my body and shoved my hands in Luke’s sweatpants which I was still wearing, and hung my head low.

Just what I needed.

Tears threatened to escape my eyes as we walked up the slight hill, Ashton completely unaware of how badly it was affecting me.

Just as we reached the door, Ashton let go of me and talked to the security whilst I just stood there frozen, listening to exactly what those girls were saying. All those nice compliments were drowned out by the negative ones, and that’s all I could focus on.

I felt really shitty I just didn’t want to be there anymore. I wanted to run, and cry. I wanted to be alone.

"You bitch! Why would you say that? Just because she's beautiful and you’re not." I heard someone yell from behind me, which caused me to turn around, and wiped under my eyes to remove any tears rolling down my cheeks.

And there a fan stood. Around the same age as me. She was beautiful! She had short redish, brownish hair and bright blue eyes. I smiled softly at her, our eyes connected, before mouthing 'thank-you' to her. She smiled back and I turned around and took a hold of Ashton's hand as we walked through the back door, and away from the fans.
