Will fate allow young Emily Downs to be in the perfect relationship she's always wanted, or take her down a dark twisted road full of cheating, hatred, lies and run aways.

Only time will tell for these two lovebirds.

2. Chapter II

After a few minutes of hiking up the hill towards Luke’s house, it began raining.

Normally, people would run, like what the boys were doing in front of me, but I was different, I found rain peaceful. It always seemed to clear my head and lately my head was clouded.

I needed this.

I silently thanked Mother Nature.

Ashton turned around, expecting to see me closely behind but instead he found me hundreds of metres back, strolling, taking in the fresh air.

“You okay?” He asked as he jogged back to me, trying to control his breathing.

“Yeah, all good. I just find rain peaceful, that’s all.” I mumble, watching carefully as my feet dodge the numerous puddles filling the small pot holes along this bumpy road.

He took a hold of my hand and I froze it shock. My heart melted and all my sensations in my hand tingled. I had dreamt of this moment for months and months, but he instantly let my hand go, just as quickly as he had grabbed it. I frowned. I placed myself in front of him, and we had stopped walking. He was staring down at his feet so I hugged him, reassuring him everything was okay, not wanting to show my feelings for him. He would never feel the same way.

When he finally hugged back, my mind instantly cleared. This moment was perfect. I wasn’t worrying about my makeup running down my face or how soaked my hair was, or how incredibly cold I was getting, I was just in his arms.

We arrived back at the house 15 minutes later, and were greeted with hot chocolates and warm cookies, oh and towels of course.

We all sat around the lounge room and drank our warm drinks as we chatted amongst ourselves. Just about silly little guy things that I usually drowned out.

I ended up excusing myself from the boys and headed for the bathroom a few minutes later, deciding I needed a hot shower before anyone started the movies.

I went into Luke’s room and rummaged around his clothes, finding a pair of briefs, grey sweatpants and a dark grey, almost black tee shirt. Satisfied with what I had found, I grabbed a towel from the linen closest in the hall and closed the bathroom door.

Instantly I found myself in the shower, and it hadn’t even been 5 minutes and someone was already knocking on the door.

“What?” I called out.

“Oh Em it’s you. It’s just, I really need to pee, and well you’ve got the only toilet in there.” Ashton stuttered from outside the door.

“Come in the doors unlocked.” I yell, unable to hear myself with my head under the running water. They were like brothers, we’ve always been this close.

The door opens a moment later, and after a minute, I faintly heard a thankyou before the door shut once more.

10 minutes later I pulled back the shower curtain and wrapped the towel around me, drying myself off. I turned off the shower and sat down on the closed lid of the toilet, letting the moisture around me fog up the windows and mirrors, making the air around me cloudy and muggy.

Did I mention I liked steamy showers?
