5. Break Me

Sammie's POV

"Who was that...?" My mother repeated her words in a growl.

My mother was a tall woman with dark blonde hair and blue eyes. She was skinny because of all the drugs. She might've been a skinny bitch, but she was not weak at all. Somehow, after all of her depression and drug use, she was able to muster some sort of strength; especially when it came to me doing something 'fishy'. 'Fishy' usually means something like...getting a midnight snack...or taking a nap on the couch. She only said the word in her sentences so that she would have a good reason to hit me. Most people think of sneaking out as being a fishy thing to do, so they automatically think that I'm doing things of that sort. I guess they think that since my mom is a wild card, I am too. Like mother, like daughter...

"It was....just...a friend." I stuttered on my words, and she noticed.

"A friend?" She grumbled loudly, "A friend that just happens to be a boy. A boy who was in my house passed ten o'clock."

She stepped forward, causing me to take a step back.

"Who...was he...?" She asked again. This time she spoke slowly, as if I couldn't hear her the first time.

"He was one of Ron's friends." I finally admitted.

"You're screwing around with your brother's friends now."

My eyes widened, "That was not what I said!" She raised her hand and slapped me across the face.

"It wasn't what you said. But it was what you implied." She stated calmly.

I was forced to step back once more when she came towards me, my back hitting the door.

"No. I didn't...mean it like that. He helped me earlier, and we were just talking. I swear, nothing happened!" I was surely rambling now.

She looked displeased at my words. She hit me again, causing my neck to turn to the side sharply.

"Shut up. You need to learn to stop lying." Her words were firm as she pulled me by my hair. She led me down the hall and into the bathroom.

"I'm about fed up with your slutty behavior." She growled, pushing me to the floor.

I fell on my hands and knees, my neck hurting from the struggle I had made on the way. I looked up as she closed the door.

"I swear... I didn't do anything...." She looked down at me with anger in her eyes as I begged.

Without a single word, I felt her foot connect with my ribs. I yelled out in pain, the palms of my hands keeping me from falling to the floor. She kicked me several times before leaning over and turning the water on to the tub. After a few coughs, I felt a tangy taste flood my mouth. I gagged before spitting the substance out.

I was coughing up blood.

My mother looked back at me as I coughed and spit the remaining liquid out of my mouth. She waited until I looked up to slap me.

"Stop that. Or you'll have to clean it up."

My face stung, and tears welled up in my eyes but I refused to let them drop. She turned the water off, and turned completely towards me. She pulled me up and tried to force me head first into the full tub of water. I put up a fight, despite my aching pains. I thrashed, trying to get her hands off me. She kneed my knees in, causing me to yell out as my face neared the pool of cold water. She took my hair by the roots. I cried out in agony, beating her hand with my fists in a desperate attempt to free myself.

Soon after, my face met the freezing water, and water entered my mouth and nose. I struggled harder, my screams muffled by the water that entered my lungs.

I fought harder each passing minute...

But soon I would lose the will and the strength to fight.

( A/N::: OKAY! These two updates were supposed to be up a VERY very long time ago... But then...things started popping up, I started having things that I had to do, and I could not find any time to get a laptop, get on the internet, and update. I have been telling myself, "YOU HAVE TO GET ON AND WRITE! YOU'RE DISAPPOINTING PEOPLE OUT THERE!!!" never happened... I'm hoping to get back into the roll of updating regularly. But school is coming up, and I'm starting the 9th grade, so...I have absolutely no clue when I'll be able to update then...

I'm sorry that you've had to wait this long, my peepers... Nonetheless, I hope you enjoyed these chapters! I am planning on updating my other Movella, Bitter Words soon. God only knows how big that apology A/N will be... But for now, I am exhausted. Love you, my Peepers!!!!! :)<3 )
