Changed: Sequal to "More Than Friends"

It's been almost a year since (Y/N) left town. Justin has been doing what she told him in the note. He hasn't gone out much and hardly talks to anyone. But when he gets a job at the local Kroger and sees (Y/N) his hopes rise to an all time high. After a small talk they have, he knows things are different between them. (Y/N) now has another boyfriend named, Troye. (looks like youtuber, Troye Sivan) Justin is heart broken because its like (Y/N) forgot the note, the necklace, their love. Will Justin make (Y/N) the person she was before, and will his love for her be enough?

3. Do You Even Remember?

(Justin's P.O.V.)

I went home after work to get ready for my "talk" with (Y/N). I was putting on something on my usual attire. I was going to take her to her favorite restaurant, Panera. I felt like that is a quiet place to talk. I mean come on, Panera is the perfect place for meetings. After getting that ready I heard a knock on the door. I rushed to the door and opened it. there stood (Y/N) wearing her usual summer wear.

She was smiling and asked if she could come in. of course I said yes. (Y/N) headed straight for the couch. She sat down and asked, "so, are you ready to go?"

I took a breath, "If you want to go now, we can. but if you want to hang out, we can do that."

Her smile disappeared. Then she stood up and said, "I think we should go now."

My eyes widened, mouth wide open, and then I spoke, "Okay, we can go."

(Y/N) and I ordered, then we sat down in the very back where no one ever sits, so we could talk...alone. I heard my name, "Justin, your order is ready."

I got up and took the plates with our food on it. I started walking back, and I saw some familiar faces. They looked surprised that I was, alive, I guess.

I put the plates down and sat. (Y/N) looked at me with a smile and said, "Thank you, for this. Taking me to dinner at my favorite restaurant. I think we needed this, time to catch up."

"Yeah. You're welcome. So, how have you been, um, where did you go?"

She giggled, "Woah there speedy. One question at a time. And not the major ones, start small."

I took a deep breath. I couldn't just start small, I needed answers. "Okay, um... where did you go?"

She laughed. "Justin, calm down."

I chuckled, "(Y/N), you know me. I was kidding. But seriously, when did you start feeling 'happy' again?"

She smiled, "About two, three months in. After I met Troye," she took a bite of her Sierra turkey sandwich.

"Oh..." that hit me right in the chest, "Where is Troye from?"

She swallowed, "He was born in South Africa, but when he was like, 2 or 3, he moved to Australia then last year he moved to Ohio."

My eyebrows went up, "Ohhh, so you went to Ohio?"

She chuckled, "Well, you caught me. I kind of just hitchhiked until someone nice offered to take me in."

"Why would you just leave like that? You really hurt me," I was about to break.

She let out a huge sigh, "Justin, leaving you was the hardest thing I've ever done."

"Then why did you?"

A tear started forming in her eye, "Because, I needed...I needed to get away from everything."

"(Y/N) you can't just run away from your problems."

"Justin, you were one of them!"

"Will you tell me now, which problem I was?"

"You were the first person who actually listened and cared about me. That scared me."

I leaned back in my chair and looked down. "Do you still love me?"

She looked up. "Justin..."

"(Y/N), you told me in that note, forever and always. Were you lying?"
