16. SOCIAL networks

Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Youtube and.... movellas!! I'm guessing you've heard of most, if not all of them! They're a great way to catch up with friends and make new friends too.

Yet BEWARE!! There are evils in this world too evil to say out aloud...

Remember -

Do not give away your address/home phone/mobile no. etc.. Just Don't, okay? (Unless you have adult permission, but even then do it through private chat!) It's okay to say your city, country, continent and planet though. These are big places where lots of people live!

Do not meet up with someone you've met online without an adult's permission. People aren't always who they say they are.

Never post photos of yourself you're going to regret later. For your profile picture, it's best to use a picture of something else entirely - like a quote or flower. This way, no randos could scroll through people's accounts and find a picture of you, ready and waiting for them. Again, DON'T post any pics you'll hate in a few months time. You may think a photo of you, half naked, swearing with a duck face will seem cool, but girl... when you're looking for a job, the interviewers search up your name and bam. Embarrassing teenage photo seen, job gone. Oops.

It's okay to chat with people online, as long as you don't give out any personal information they could use to find you outside of the virtual world. No one wants a stalker.

If anyone bullies you over cyber space, whether that be nasty comments or purposely embarrassing photos of you posted - Tell an adult. Same goes for people WANTING YOUR Address. Find the report button and Boom, problem solved!

On some sites, such as Facebook, you can change your settings so only your friends can see your profile. I'd recommend this.

I hope these tips helped!! Please comment any more topics you'd like us to cover, we'll be on it A.S.A.P!! And... if you're enjoying this, please LIKE, FAVE and FAN the authors!!
