28. Is she REALLY my best friend?

Hi everyone!!!!! We're backkkkkk!!!!!!! :D

Okay, so friendships change a lot when you're going through school and sometimes this is one of the hardest changes in your school career. Is your best friend forever spreading rumours behind your back? Or maybe you feel like you just don't fit in with your group anymore?

Been there.

I think we all have really. Come on guys, raise your hand!

Let's take this scenario.

*This is an analogy* Ally and Jess have been best friends for years. They do everything together. One day, they both try out for a scholarship to a new prestigious school but only Ally gets in. Jess really wanted the scholarship but Ally only did it because Jess did.

At her new school Ally makes lots of friends. When she meets up with Jess at the weekends all Ally does is brag and tease Jess for not getting in. She is no longer a great friend and Jess comes home after meeting Ally close to tears.

When she next sees Ally, one of Ally's new friends has said Jess has been spreading rumours about her and Ally is now going to tell Jess's classmates embarrassing secrets to get her back.

*

I think we can all agree that Ally is NOT a good friend. Nope nada not at all. But what should you do about this problem? Ummm....

*This is a continued analogy*  Jess doesn't know what to do. Her best friend Ally now hates her and has become backstabbing and mean. The next time they see each other Jess makes it clear as nicely as possible that she doesn't care that Ally got into the school instead of her. This stops Ally's boasting and puts her off guard. Next Jess explains that she never spread rumours about Ally and is hurt that her best friend thinks she would. She's known Jess a lot longer than her new friends after all.

Ally isn't so sure at first but eventually listens to Jess. They aren't so good friends afterwards as they have chosen different paths in life and Jess realises that actually Ally wasn't such an awesome bestie but they still say hi and occasionally meet up.

I hope this helps!! This chapter idea was by Hopeless Wanderer aka Scottie. Thank youuuu!!!
