3. More Fun & Games

NIALL'S  P.O.V.

Our first step back into the loud arcade room, drafted our skin with a completely colder climate. With satisfaction, all of us split up into pairs which consisted of: Me and Maleah; Harry and Rachel; Zayn and Alex; Liam and Louis for additional games.

Before you know it, every pair diffused around the room doing their own thing. "So, what do you want to play first, Maleah?" She paused to think."I don't know..."  "Anything is fine with me." I confirmed, knowing that being open is a good manner.

We walked around, playing different games like little kids. I helped her win a car racing game. My favorite part is that she knew how to drive one...

Ski ball was next; coins constantly jingled and fell out of my pocket each time leaped for joy when I won. Maleah's face suddenly lit up. "Look Niall! Go-carts"  I gave her a quirky smile and winked at her. I knew she wanted to. "Na, lets not..." Wait, what? No hint of sarcasm was shown in her tone.

"But I thought..." I stopped the interruption of my own confusion. Alright then, I guess there's no Go-carts...Maleah shot me a funny look and a bursted into laughter. "I was just kidding, Niall. Of corse I want to!" I had no idea she was the joking type. I laughed feeling dumb for falling for her act. "What are we waiting for?" I started. "Let's go!"  I grabbed her hand and we childishly skipped out to the go-cart area.

Outdoors in the warm humid air, a long line of people was the first thing sighted in front of us. We decided together that it was worth the wait. I mean c'mon, she's having the time of her life hanging out with me and I have absolutely no intention of ruining that.

I love how her beautiful blonde hair flows perfectly in the summer breeze...Sounds cheesy, I know. I stepped up to a big red cart with the number 13 pasted in bold pasted on the side. I motioned Maleah to fasten in the blue cart next to me.

"Maleah?"

"Yes, Niall?"

"I need to tell you something..."

I began shifting my eyes sadly to the ground. I lowered my shoulders and opened my mouth to say something. "What is it? Is everything alright?" Her face grew to a serious, concerned expression. Just what I wanted.

"I just wanna say..." I slowly released my foot of the brake and glanced at the light in front of me, waiting it to turn green. I smiled and stressed my foot on the accelerator. "RACE YA!" Her mouth dropped wide open as I passed her.

"OH, IT'S ON!" We drove the curvy corse and went as fast as possible. I glanced backward and to my surprise, she was right on my tale. I finally reach the climax of the course. The thriller hill. I enjoyed the split second of fear when my cart's engine roared as I climbed the obstacle. At the bottom, as rush of wind blew, Maleah passed me on the right.

We went around the track a few more times remaining close together. It finally came down to our last lap and Maleah still paced ahead. Not for long however, because I was determined to win. I tried every trick in the book I knew including the rule of racing on the inside of the corse, but nothing seemed to work. She really is that good. Both of us rushed down the hill once again and the finish line came crawling closer. I still couldn't pass her up. Was my chart too slow? Yep, that's it.

We almost finished at the same time but she barely won. "Yes! I win!" Maleah threw up her arms in victory. "Only by two feet!"I protested pointing at the finish line. "So? I still won! It counts." There was no way I could argue with that. "Fine.." She just smiled. Maleah stepped out of her go-cart, as did I. A smile grew across my face. "Race you back to the arcade!" I shouted while running as fast as I could.

Both of us ran back at full speed. Every heartbeat was hard as I stopped a few feet passed the arcade doors. This time, I won. "Not fair! You got a head start!" She argued as she ran inside a couple of seconds later. She didn't completly stop in time, so I had to catch her in my arms to slow her down. I'm glad I did. Otherwise, she would've ran into a very expensive glass machine.

Our arms were wrapped around each other in a hugging like position. I looked into her green eyes. "So? I still won! It counts." I repeated, moking what she said earlier. I can't help but notice how beautiful she is. After a moment, we both realized what we were doing, and we let go of each other.

     MALEAH'S  P.O.V.

"I know you like pictures. Would you be interested in a digital photo shoot with via Niall?" He modeled himself as if he were on a catwalk during a fashion show. Nice modeling, Niall. "Sure!"

We walked over to the open photo booth and pulled back the curtain revealing the extremely small space. Just for two.. We managed to settle but I realized that Niall and I were sitting pretty close together. I knew he didn't mind. The thought of him being comfy with his fans drooling all over him hit me and gave me a hateful feeling. Am I really just another fan?

We pushed the button and the photo shoot began. A few times occured when we didn't know what face to make. Before we came upon a decision to agree on, the flash blinded our eyes and gave us something to laugh about afterwards. It was hilarious!

Some were funny, others were serious but cute. We tried to look like stalkers, hobos, fancy British people, animals, etc. Who knows how stupid we look? I bet we took over 50 pictures in that thing!

Finishing up minutes later, both of us walked out laughing so hard that we couldn't breath normally. Our friends were already standing there, waiting on us with no emotion shown on their face. Randomly, Louis bursts out laughing and at an instant, stops. A long pause passed before Harry did the same. Then Zayn, and Liam. The rest of the group joined in a group collaboration. It was really weird. We stopped then began the process all over again. That's when we all bursted out into real laughter. Today was a really good day...

"Are we all ready to go now?" Liam asked. "No! I want to stay!" Louis jokingly pouted while sitting on the ground. "Come on, Lou." Harry said picking Louis up and dragging him across the floor to the door. We all laughed and followed them. We walked out of the arcade and across the street to the rental van the boys had rented for the week. We all hopped in and drove back to the mall to where our car was. We got out of the van and socialized for a few minutes. I looked at the mall in front of me, thinking how just a few hours ago, I was just shopping around. But now, I'm hanging out with One Direction. "So, what hotel are ya'll staying in?" I asked the boys. "I think it's called... The Opryland Hotel." Zayn replied. "Really?" Alex asked. "Yep, that's the one." Liam said looking at a piece of paper with information on it. "No way!" Rachel yelled in surprise. "What is it?" Harry asked. "We're staying in the same hotel," I explained cooly. "Really? That's awesome!" Niall added with a smile across his face. "Okay, lads. Lets go to our hotel!" Louis shouted. "Do any of the girls want to ride with us?" Zayn asked. Alex, Rachel, and I looked at each other, trying to figure out wether we should or not. "What do you think, girls?" Rachel asked. "We'd love to. But who would take our car to the hotel?" Alex spoke up. "I will. I don't mind." I volenteered. "You sure?" Rachel asked. I nodded. "Thanks!" Alex's face lit up. They got in the van with the boys and I started getting into the car. "Wait!" Niall shouted, getting out of the van. I looked at him, puzzled. "Can I ride with you? I feel bad leaving you all alone." Niall explained. "Sure, hop in!" I said with a smile. Niall got in the passengers seat and told the guys that we'll meet them there.

We drove off and I noticed that Niall was very quiet. I quickly looked over at him and found that he was looking at all the pictures we took in the photo booth. He picked out a picture of the two of us and said, "This one is my favorite... Wait, this one is... No, this one! Wait... All of them are." I giggled at his indeciciveness "I had a lot of fun today."  "Me too. I haven't had this much fun in forever. I think this was the best day... Ever." Niall said, with a smile. I smiled and agreed as well. It got a bit quiet again, so I turned on the radio. A few fimilar songs came on and we both sang along. My voice was just ok. But his voice was perfect. It was adorable. We were adorable.
