3. The Slip

I cleaned the windows and washed the sheets. I started to head down the stair case and saw Dark eating some mammoth cheese.

"Your lucky Christina isn't here, she would slit your throat and take that cheese." I started to walk towards Dark and through the towel I was using on his head.

"Ya well she isn't, so get over it. Any way are there any new jobs that need to be done?" Dark pulled the towel off his head as he spoke.

"Like I said an hour ago, no, Skyrims become a better place. Well you know we still got those damn stormcloaks to worry about." I sate next to Dark and took some of the cheese. "So did you here anything from Christina about that scrolls."

"Nope, as far as we should worry she has locked her se-" we both turned and heard the door being pounded on. Dark got up and unlocked the door and opened it. "Well Speak of Alduin." I looked over Dark's shoulder and saw Christina, I never really noticed how short she was. Than I relieved we were both the same height, so we were both extremely short.

"Talia, I hope I haven't bothered you," she darted past Dark and sat down were Dark was sitting without a care. "I need you to do me a favor."

    "Ya sure what is it?"

"I need you to take this to Paarthunax, he's the only dovah that I know that is old enough to translate these no longer used words." She passed me a sheet of paper.

"Were these words part of that scroll you brought last week?"

"Yes, I was able to transcribe all but these list of words that constantly keep coming up. It's driving me crazy and I'm so close to finishing!" She clenched her fists and and started to shake her head rapidly with anger.

"Uhm, I think I can do it." I closed my eyes and nodded, then opened my eyes.
"Talia, are you sure about this?" Dark glared at me to make sure.

"Ya, it should be fun we got nothing else to do anyway." I took the slip of paper and folded it up into a small triangle and placed it into my satchel.

"Be careful, oh and please don't tell Paarthunax that I was the one who sent you."
"Why?" Dark turned and glared at Christina as she started to clean up and get ready to leave.

"I've meddled in the affairs of dragons before, and not for the best for them so it's no wonder they don't like me. So just don't say it was me who sent you just say that you found them."  She nodded and then left the house.

"She has more secrets about her then she does of the truth." Dark sat back down and stared at me. "You sure about this? She doesn't seem to open about something's so we may end up in a bad place if we are not careful."

"Yes I'm sure." I looked at Dark and passed him his sword and armor. He took them in hand and we started to leave for the throat of the world.

"Paarthunax! Oi, Paarthunax! I need a favor!!" I screamed as I heard wings break the wind. I could see Odahviing flying over head.

"Dovakiin, what do you wish to know?"

"I need these translated!" I laid out the paper and pointed at the words and tried to say them, it was much harder than I thought it could have been. After pronouncing them poorly I could that Odahviing has landed near Paarthunax and they both looked at me with shock and disapproval. I looked at them I knew that I failed terribly at the words, but at the same time I could see that it was obvious that Odahviing didn't know the words. He looked to Paarthunax. They spoke in the dragons tongue and I started to wish Christina was here to tell me what they were saying.

   "Yes Paarthunax? What is it."

"Under certain times you may know what these words mean and where they belong to." Paarthunax looked at Odahviing. He left. "Chuh, world. Miilvah, resurrection. Dovahmeil, dova enchantres."

He continued and didn't ask where I had 'found' these words. The worlds by them selves made me wonder what the whole I scriptures ment. By sun down he was done explaining to words while I wrote them out. I thanked Paarthunax and left waving only to see a face of concern and terror of those words. I returned to Christina's house and gave her the paper. She was enthralled but wanted to be alone with them. I had begin to feel a gut feeling of terror thinking of the words and just their meanings.
